  1. So now that it's the 2nd of April, this is no longer a cruel joke by LEGO?!?!?
  2. I wish that the site would update upon release, instead of giving us all of the (wonderful) info early. It just makes the wait harder for me! I love Medusa's bio, and I find the Decorator's to be the most interesting. I thought his would be about painting houses, but no!
  3. Captain of the Orange and White Team of the Galaxy Squad!

  4. The Ameribricks joke is enhanced by the fact that American and non-Europeans can join (I am proof of this). It had seemed peculiar that it remained Eurobricks while Europe is inconsequential to the members! Anyway, the Mr. Gold prank fooled me until it was explained to be fake. I tend not to be very good at getting jokes/ pranks when presented seriously! I think the "factory tour" thing was a bit too much to believe. LEGO wouldn't copy Roald Dahl that far, would they?
  5. Yeah, they pulled a CMF Mr. Gold prank, too. Don't trust the image at all. April Fool's makes the Internet even less trustworthy!
  6. It can't be true that it has been released worldwide on April 1. I have heard otherwise that it will be released in May/late April... The 'site sure hasn't been updated.
  7. Well, I think I've held out too long to post my new funnies. But as a special anniversary of my first batch of funnies ( Lame excuse, but I needed one), I, inspired by Oky and Deadpool's review on the Chopper Showdown, have invited Bib Fortuna to tell about the funnies, while I give editorial comments. Bib, start us off! Batchuay wanna wanchi ko- ENGLISH. Geez. I sometimes forget to switch out of Huttese!Stupid 8ButtM- WHAT?!? Kind, forgiving, and merciful master 8BrickMario! Continue. [/font] All right. Master 8Brick had this first idea based on the period of time where Master Jabba's palace was out, but the Rancor Pit did not exist. Master 8Brick has graciously purchased the Pit to solve the problem, but what about those people who didn't (or still don't) have it? I did this one because I was searching for funny material, and the "jab at LEGO" ones seemed to be popular, since they're relatable. Here's the next one I did with a butt-of-jokes-minifigure. Back to you, Bib SPACE Fortuna. *Grumble* You know i'm touchy about my exile! Well, anyway, the next was yet another joke about the stupid Admiral Ackbar. Master 8Brick came up with the idea because his previous funnies were made within minutes of these ones. He brought the foolish Mon Calamari to the Palace, and wondered what would happen if Ackbar told every single guest about the trapdoor in the throne room. He calls the last funny "Unfortunate Ackbar", but Master Jabba and I like to call it "The Admiral's Retribution". Here it is (Notice I am the true star of the funnies. Master 8BrickMario gave me a speaking role in both!) I am having too much fun with Ackbar, aren't I? Bib, you are dismissed. If you want to appear again, don't call me, I'll call you. The Eurobrickers may sway my decision..... Fine, don't expect me to come to you! Stupid wygo tibi atat.... I hope you liked it! I've gotta get some new material and hurt slap punish talk some sense into that disrespectful Twi'lek!
  8. OK. I sort of doubt it, though!
  9. What I don;'t understand is why Europe gets them NOW and America has to wait to late April-May! Unfair, LEGO! Unfair! Now that I'm done ranting, it's interesting that the Trendsetter is rare. Her highly desirable parts may be the reason, though I thought that she would be common to mid-rare.
  10. Hmmm... Interesting. I gotta see more pictures, though! Then I will go to the point of no return and buy every set! One thing I like about the small hero vehicles ( Billy's speeder in the Warp Stinger set and Chuck's buggy and hovercraft in his two sets) is that they use the same seat and control system, but by changing what's underneath (wings, wheels, hover dish) so it's suited for a different situation. It's just so creative and nice how they are basically the same, with the method of movement changing. It makes it feel like they're all part of one group while each vehicle is slightly unique.
  11. Oh, okay. It wasn't too clear to me! Thanks!
  12. I do feel bad for the Red Team. Even though they aren't my favorite, it feels like they are always getting the short end of the stick. Sorry about the mini-cocoon color confusion (say that 3 times fast). Maybe it entails a Friends crossover? They are pink and purple. Joking! I would sure hope that isn't true! I wonder if the small cocoons are meant to act like bombs (shooting out and breaking open to release larvae.) Of course I can't anticipate this as a play feature, but it seems likely story-wise, that the little cocoons are like larva bombs. (Weird phrase of today:larva bomb!) I think I might give the CLS-89 to my sigfig and robot sidekick (Battle Mech, as seen in user image), as the Orange Team has the Obliterator. I'll just give it to my "White and Orange Team"! (The sigfig came from the Battle Mech's looking like he belonged in Galaxy Squad, and I made myself as an astronaut to match him.) I am happy about the Blue Team in the summer wave because Solomon is my favorite human squad member, he is getting a huge vehicle, and a human partner!
  13. Thank you! I've got another batch ready, but I'll wait a day or two to release it. I'm glad that you thought they were funny. Just to tell you, the next ones are all original, as opposed to executing jokes in LEGO. Did you know that people have uploaded hours-long videos of "It's a TRAP!" looping over and over? Two things Ackbar and Nyan Cat have in common... torturously long looping videos of them!
  14. I heard Omi say there wasn't a Lex Luthor in the sets. There is:
  15. I like Montoya the best! How did you alter the hair (is it altered or is it just me?) and what face did you use/change? The rest are fantastic. as always! Keep it up!
  16. I like to see that the Blue Team has edged out the Orange team for title of best vehicle! I don't much like the Creeper, but Chuck's vehicle looks really cool. The biggest problem I have with the Crater Creeper is that the rubber band for the "snapping jaws" function is so blatantly out there. I wonder if the transparent red piece on the abdomen opens for capture/storage? The Hive Crawler is amazing and I like the red mini-cocoons for the small bugs! The CLS-89 I like mainly for the green bulbous cocoons. The bugs holing them don't look too good, though. I still need the Bug Obliterator, so it's good that they're coming out in summer.
  17. Really? I never knew that! I had always seen it as "syrup", so I assumed it was wrong. Thanks for telling me, TheJoker1!
  18. A Walgreens nearby me has a few S8 packets. Every time I come, though, they're a different set. Either they are somehow getting more, or (more likely) they are putting out a few from a box at a time. The last time I went I didn't see any. I just thought it was peculiar to see S8's so late.
  19. Oh by the way, I'm sorry to be the person doing this, Oky, but it is "syrup". I hate to correct you, as it's funny, but it just bugged me. Sorry, i just had to point it out! Your funnies are great though, no matter how you spell.
  20. True... Series 5's were up 3 weeks before they came out. I remember I went to the store only to find out that mean old LEGO released info too early!
  21. Okay. I was confused because LEGO store people said beginning of April.... bummer.
  22. Hello! Since this thread doesn't have much going on, I present to you my first two Star Wars Funnies! Both of them are about Ackbar (I had to join in) becuase I got the A-Wing recently. The first's implied punchline came from a review of the A-Wing on Lego.com. If you can't get the joke, think coffee nicknames. The next just came to me. Hope you liked them!
  23. Well, ID wise, they are the same, but visually there is a noticeable difference. It isn't variability either, since some minifigs (Mermaid, for example) all have one shade, while others (Starlet) all have the other shade. If you meant something else, then please tell me, but it's interesting how the visible color difference is consistent per specific 'fig, yet LEGO classifies it as the same.
  24. You're right, I checked again and the Mermaid and Luna's hair are the same shade. It just looked odd to me since the bleached blonde color is now used a lot. I don't care what LEGO says, they are NOT the same Cool Yellow. Any explanations for the release date confusion?
