  1. Maybe I can do another comparison, but to me the Mermaid (and my friend's) has a different blonde.
  2. I meant April 2nd. Sorry if it was unclear. I had heard from people at the LEGO store that they would be released at the beginning of April. Maybe it changed. It would certainly allow the Minifigures to appear in the May-June magazine, which makes more sense. I hope not, though, since other countries already have them! The Mermaid's hair is not any of those colors. It is a completely different weird shade, which is even visible in comparison to the Starlet on the S9 pamphlet.
  3. Okay, I give up! This thread was probably destined to be cut off. Not too bad for a first try!
  4. I know that it's appropriate, but it's interesting that LEGO changed the color and doesn't use the yellowy blonde as much now. I'm posting too much without waiting for responses! I should just take a break and shut up for a bit.....
  5. You know, I just noticed something about the "bright blonde" hair colors. The Lifeguard and the new Hermione's hair in that color is more yellow. However, the Hollywood Starlet, Intergalactic Girl, and Harleen Quinzel have a slightly bleached and toned-down yellow, almost as if LEGO changed it after a while. In that, the Trendsetter's hair looks of the more bleached yellow, following (instead of starting) that trend. Interesting... By the way don't get me started on the CMF Mermaid's bizarre hair shade.
  6. Gee, I would've never guessed that you would liked the Baseball Fielder. (Profile pic giveaway) Since Yooha and started the ball rolling with our least favs, feel free to join in! (I also like to hear reasons why instead of just, "Least fav= Bee Girl".
  7. If my picture had more room, I would have added a speech bubble to show that Ivy is extremely unhappy with Psy and trying to get away to the tower roof with a vine. Oh, by the way, Hulk_Smash, the shrunken picture was a major fail on my part. I took the URL of the thumbnail instead of the large pic when posting. EDIT: I just seemed to stop the conversation!
  8. I hope that LEGO doesn't play a mean joke on April Fool's and bump the release date back a day, as opposed to it coming out on the 1st.
  9. Just wanted to know, is my photo too big?
  10. Here I present to you my first funny upon the receiving of Arkham Asylum. I got the idea before, though, when obsessively looking at the set and the interesting piece choice for the roof spikes... I have no professional photo equipment, so this is the best I could do for now. I will work on improving my photography, though.
  11. Did you guys notice the odd similarities of the Black Zero Dropship to the newer Gungan Sub? Both are triangular (ish), both have 3 bubbles, one being a cockpit, the others being storage. It's not intentional, but it's interesting.
  12. The A-Wing has flick-fires on flick-fires, too. That was confusing. I had no idea you could use the phrase "flick-fire missile" so many times!
  13. Thanks! I'm glad you liked my simulation between Miss Trendy and Grandpa. EDIT: Was your reaction, "LOL", an intentional nod to the Trendsetter? Least favorite.... Hmm... For me, the Paintballer is useless, but well designed. So I have to say I hate the Motorcycle Mechanic. The tattoo is the only selling point, it is bland, and will be one of the most common. I will probably get one to complete the set, but I will avoid all others. To rectify my confusion over the popularity of the Romans, I like the Commander, but I'm less into Roman civilization, while I prefer Greek mythology. (explaining the Medusa love. By the way, The_Creator, you are forgiven for not liking Medusa. We're all entitled to our own opinions!)
  14. I just want to post a completely opinion-based question: Now that you all have seen the physical minifigs and details, what is your top favorite, and what are the top two below it? (The two below it can be equal in rank, not only best, less good, even less good. The two below can be tied.) I'll start with mine. My top fave is Medusa (and if you've followed this thread, you already know that) The double-sided face really has me sold on her. No army builders for me in this series ( I much prefer a sci-fi army), so the other two (tied) have to be the Trendsetter, 'cause she's hilarious, and the Sad Clown, because he's simple, accurate, and mysterious. Last night I thought it was funny that LEGO included two bitter enemies in one series: The Grandpa and the Trendsetter. Trendsetter: "OMG, Gramps, you made me LOL! Better txt my BFF!" Grandpa: Back in my day, we spoke in WORDS!" The older generation versus teens....This could get nasty!
  15. Well! I never saw it like that. Darn you Penguin! Ruin a good minifig for us all, why don't you! Can't....unsee.... Naah, I like your opinions However messed-up they may be. Keep on doing.....whatever it is you're doing!
  16. What do you mean by this? If he did have the bird poo on his pants, they're easily swappable. The official one just has boring white pants. Can you explain why he is "more usable" now?
  17. Darn, I was hoping Medusa's snake hair wasn't rubber...Oh, well. She looks perferctly monstrous, and I can't wait to get her. The Trendsetter's phone's apps are hilarious! I love the "old times" pun on the Grandpa's newspaper! Wait a minute... the bird poop is gone from the Sea Captain's pants! You win some, you lose some. Looks good so far! The wait is killing me, as well as the suspense on Mr. Gold. I hope if there is ever a Series 20 that they don't make a Mrs. Gold! I won't be sad to see 10's gold craze leave.
  18. I can't wait for LEGO to update the Minifigs site to series 10 in the US! I am dying to get some series 10's but they aren't here yet!!!!! Come on LEGO, do the words "international release date" mean anything to you? My aunt works at a B&N that will carry them and if she finds Mr. Gold, she will mail it to me. (She's awesome!)
  19. I am SO jealous of you!!!! I can't wait for series 10! The staff will just make Gold easier to find, though... Medusa has a double-sided face! Yay! Now that I saw the pic of the bags in stores, I just can't help wondering if a Mr. Gold was one.....ARGH!!!
  20. Oh, well! I should have known! You are the Penguin fanatic, so of course you would have a few Penguins! I wonder how the Iceberg Lounge members are dealing with the Penguin clones...
  21. @Oky: - * Unfortunate Pirate snip* I always thought the Fortune Teller's hair looked like Sparrow's! Great minds think alike! @ Penguin- Sorry I didn't comment on your new ones before, Penguin! Thoughts: I loved your improvement on Quirrel's turban! The Mirror of Erised is really funny! It's still hard to believe Dumbledore is gay..... Now we know what he really saw! I didn't understand your Gentleman Ghost one until I saw your customs and found out about the character! Now it's funny! Either you Bricklinked a ton of Penguins, or the photo is shopped! (more likely the latter, am I right?) As both Oky and I said, you can't go long without DC figs! I like to see the uses, though! Keep on making funnies! I like to see your customs used in funnies, as well!
  22. That recent fact is one of the only reasons I want Gold.....He's pretty dang ugly!
  23. Penguin, you never fail to amaze me! I made my own Pamela Isley loosely based off of yours. I also copied the "boxing gun"! I appreciate your customs, because they are inspiring and fun!
  24. On Mr. Gold's page in the Minifigures Encyclopedia, one of the details pointed out is a chrome gold finish!
  25. Did you see my previous post? Oky intended for that to be the connection!
