It has happened to me several times; only the most memorable time of which will I relate here: I had just bought this set: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?S=6463-1. I took it home to build it, but I found that the sticker sheet was missing. I looked around for it -- Did it fly out when opening? No... Is it still in the bag? No... After a short while of searching, I gave up, and decided the only thing to do (for, at that time, I did not know of LEGO's excellent replacement policy) was to return it. I arrived at the store (TRU), and, when asked, explained just why I wanted to return it -- a missing sticker sheet, of course. I handed the box to the cashier clerk... and the sticker sheet fell out! Now that was a little embarrassing!

The monkey is actually my favorite, too!

I hate the phrase "utterly useless" when used to refer to a LEGO piece; no piece is ever useless. It just means that we haven't found its true purpose yet!

I can supersize your cannon battle!

Ha, you joined after I did; shouldn't I be welcoming you?

Any bad grammar or poor spelling.

Heck yes! I hope they put in some more females; an admiral's daughter in a cheaper set would be nice. I'm also hoping that they utilize some sort of new, exclusive mold (think jester's hat).

Pillage the Village Voting - LARGE DIVISION
Lt. de Martinet replied to WhiteFang's topic in Pirate MOCs
1. Lt. de Martinet - Attack on Fort de Triomphe 2. Exotrator - The Pirates of San Pedro 3. Fat Tony - We pillage, we plunder, we rifle and loot.... My honorable mentions: DNL- It was really well-built (and plenty cruel), but I felt that the buildings made it look too much like a castle MOC, rather than Caribbean pirates. Erdbeereis1 - Gorilla Bay - Some very interesting techniques, and nearly studless! I love that in a MOC, but the ship seemed a bit detached from the rest of the creation. Also, the skulls on the sails look a little goofy. -
^lol. Greetings! You might want to ask Sir Nadroj for permission for using his picture for your profile-signature, though. If you already have, then disregard this!

I got my first taste of LEGO pirates when I bought ten Pirate minifigures from eBay when I was little. My first actual set was Forbidden Island, which I got last year (from eBay). Since then, I've gotten Skull Island, Rock Island Refuge, Eldorado Fortress, and Shipwreck Island. My first set of the new Pirate II line was Loot Island.

I tend to build in any theme, depending on what I feel like, or what contests are going on. My favorite theme is Pirate (of course), but I also really like Castle and Blacktron I. Basically, anything historic or futuristic; I don't much care for most modern themes, especially military.

Hello, everyone! I have been lurking in the LEGO community since sometime last year; I only really started participating in things (on Flickr) earlier this year, and I got my own Flickr account in August. When I saw the PTV announcement in SlyOwl's photostream, I simply had to join Eurobricks. Sorry this topic/thread is a month late; I only just realized there was a forum for this.

Pillage the Village Voting - SMALL Division
Lt. de Martinet replied to SlyOwl's topic in Pirate MOCs
1. Majek - Piracy and the Slave Trade 2. Matn - Governor's End 3. Lt. de Martinet - The Oarsman's Demise 1. I liked this creation because it showed a side of piracy not usually shown. As if that weren't enough, it's also well-built. 2. Really well-built; I also really like the creations that show no direct cruelty, but suggest that there will be some in the future. 3. Sorry to vote for myself, but see my second reason for my second choice. -
PICTORIAL REVIEW: 6239 Cannon Battle
Lt. de Martinet replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Pirates
I got four of these too, and I'll get more. This really is an excellent set for army builders (especially since TRU's impulses are $5 ) and MOCers wanting a few of the new parts. -
That's a raccoon.

Governor Broadside. Definately. He's one of the rarest there (...as opposed to my five or six Redbeards...), and he has the coolest Lieutenant!
-
Ooh, polybagged on it's own? So it doesn't come INSIDE the set box, but as a promo for pre-ordering?
-
The attachments aren't working for me. So is this a random special, like the chrome C-3POs? Or do you think it comes in every set? Pictures, please!

Pillage the Village entries are CLOSED!
Lt. de Martinet replied to Mister Phes's topic in Pirate MOCs
Thanks for telling me that, CGH and Erdbeereis! That was worrying me; I haven't been on Eurobricks long, so I'm still not sure how every little thing works. -
Pillage the Village entries are CLOSED!
Lt. de Martinet replied to Mister Phes's topic in Pirate MOCs
I have a question! According to the rules: "In accordance with Eurobricks guidelines the maximum picture size is 800x600 pixels" My pictures (Attack on Fort de Triomphe) are mostly 800 x 533 pixels, but they still get resized. Why? Do I need to resize them? -
Cars without doors? Wouldn't the minifig fall out? But seriously, TLC actually did even have a recent set with the car doors, though not used for a car; Dwarves' Mine used four tall car doors in dk. green to make the mine carts.

I really like how you integrated a couple of the new parts, and covered up the Two-Face head's "better" half; the blood is excellent, too! I agree with Erdbeereis, though, about mixing yellow and (*shudder*) fleshie heads. One or the other, I say! Oh, and your soldiers may look better with red epaulettes to contrast with the blue of their uniforms.

My lucky finds: TRU, $15 (I think, on clearance): Mars Exploration Rover EBay, $50 (not quite complete; was missing some of the small, insignificant bits): Message Intercept Base Savers, $2 (in a bag with McDonalds toys; missing the canister): Visorak Suukorak That's all I can think of right now.

What was the last movie you watched?

The old ones are old-brown, and the new ones are reddish-brown.
