I don't think we'll see anymore Force Unleashed sets, they did it for the first game because it was a massive multimedia project that spanned books, comics, the game, etc. That's not the case for the second, they don't seem to be going to the same lengths to try and hype it up.. The lead producer has already quit due to the direction the game is taken, and plans for a third have been scrapped. They clearly have little faith in the game. Plus, I think it would have been part of one of the August sets if they were going to do it. Wouldn't make much sense to release it next year, when the game has already died down.

Glad to see I was right about the Halo having Embo and Aurra Sing (even if it was because my information was wrong :P) Definitely makes that set a must buy! Still not much a fan of the Jedi shuttle, but I'm very happy to see we're getting a Shaak-ti, who is easily my favourite Jedi. I'll likely wait and hope she's released in a magnet set though.
-
They actually have released that set in the past, albiet a slightly different colour scheme. I wouldn't mind seeing another released, but it's very similar to the Tantive IV. Don't see it happening for a while.
-
The shuttle is unlikely to include a new Jedi, Shaak-Ti won't be appearing until Season 3. They might just include some extra guys for the fun of it, but I think some of the previous guesses are more likely. Mace Windu, Plo Koon, Aurra Sing and the younger Boba Fett. Perhaps Bossk, Hondo and/or Ahsoka at a stretch.

Even as someone who loves the CW, I'm disappointed that there's still no new Milenium Falcon, etc. I am very much looking forward to the Halo bounty hunter ship, and while I'm not much a fan of the shuttle design, it'll surely come with some great minifigs. But I still think they could have made this wave a bit more varied. We're just going to have the opposite response if all the second wave sets are OT/PT. (though that's unlikely) Was also hoping the Naboo set was an oppertunity for a new Qui-Gon, Pademe and Jar Jar. Can't say I'm that excited about it now.

I'm not sure what you're trying to get at here. Like I said in my last post, I actually thought these episodes focusing on Ahsoka worked very well, mainly because she is a character with an unwritten future. I understand where you're coming from about their being a lack of drama when the episodes focus on characters we already know, but in those cases they tend to put more of a focus on interesting stories. The ones featuring the Mandalorians, for example were excellent despite having Obi-Wan feature prominantly. It was at least an aspect of his character we hadn't seen before. As for new characters being jarring, I don't see why. We didn't see all the Jedi Knights in Episode III, there are allegedly still hundreds of them at that point, why is it so unbeleivable we simply don't see them in the movie? It is a war after all. Ahsoka is the only character that raises questions.. But questions that will likely be answered by the end. Perhaps she falls to the darkside, perhaps she's off on a mission, perhaps she's killed. Personally, I think it would have been far more jarring in Episode III if Anakin randomly mentioned a dead Jedi, when so many others have obviously been killed during the war. The Expanded Universe frequently has continuity problems due to introducing new characters or plot elements that make next to no sense, far more and far worse than the CW ever has.

Surprised to see you have such a low opinion of Weapons Factory, it was one of my favourite episodes of an already excellent season. It had some good action scenes, great character dynamics between Ahsoka and Barris Offee and the explosion scene at the end was very dramatic, to the point where it did seem like this might be the point they choose to kill off Ahsoka. (which would have been an odd choice in hindseight, but that just shows how well it was done).

Was Aurra Sing not in that episode too? I agree that a fig of her would be better, but it'd be even better if they could do both of them :)

Clone Wars is not EU. Personally, I like the battle packs, and the Nabboo set could be promising. Not a fun of the Jedi shuttle design, although there's the possibility of it coming with some great minifigs. The big one for me is the bounty hunter ship, especially if it's based on that Seven Samurai episode. Perhaps an Embo minifig?

It's not even just the kids. I only got into collecting the SW Lego sets two years ago, so I've thought a lot of the sets that people here moaned about just being more re-releases are great. I think some people need to realise that not everybody has been following Lego for as long as they have, and if you're at the point where you're tired of them, perhaps it's just you that needs to stop. Again, not that the Clone Wars has just really started to take off, it'd be pretty silly of them to stop the line here.

Since the Phase II troopers are coming in the next season of Clone Wars, I think it's pretty likely, along with a mandalorian pack. But we saw our first named minifig for a battlepack in 2010, so perhaps we'll see that trend continue. Although that was someone who could more or less be used as a generic pilot, so who knows.. I'd definitely love to see a Shaak Ti minifig, we finally got Aayla this year, I think she's the next big one. I was also disappointed we never got an Aurra Sing, so again, as she seems to feature quite heavily in the new season, I think there's a good chance we'll see her. New sets that include some of the rarer guys would be nice too.. Perhaps another Rex, Ventress and even Obi-wan has been pretty sparse. I'd also love a new system scale Falcon and some new midi sets. Maybe a midi Death Star.
-
I don't see the set being UCS either, but I'm looking forward to it regardless. I'm sure some people are getting rather sick of these starfighers, but I love the design and I think they look great together. Hopefully we'll see a Mace Windu or Aayla Secura one at some point as well.

Unfortunately, they're not selling the new Kit Fisto magnet set in the UK yet. I think I'll hold off on my order until they put that up, buying it alone would be stupidly expensive due to postage. They seem to be doing this for most of the new sets, just because it's a more popular section. The Milenium Falcon is still listed under there as well and I don't think it's just a mistake. Seems pointless having the two sections though, doesn't it?

I disagree with that, I think she's been a rather likable character. She did start out very bratter, especially with those nicknames.. But she's grown up a lot over the two seasons and many of the best episodes of the show have revolved around her having to grow up and learn things. There was even the episode (it was reviews a few pages back) where she screws up badly enough to be sent away to just help in the library for a bit, in the later episodes, she really had to prove herself again. They've definitely moved away from her just being the annoying kid who's always right, and is only there to appeal to 11 year olds. The arc with her and Barriss Offee has probably been the best in the entire show thus far, along with Lightsaber lost, which again really went deeper into her character. If you haven't been paying that much attention to the show, you should definitely watch these episodes. Good reviews though, it's really great reading through these and remembering all the nice action scenes. And I definitely agree that Senate Spy was a pretty weak episode.. I think they wanted some that focused a bit less on the action and space battles, but again, I think they've done this far better in other episodes.

Just take a look at the recent magnet sets.. Mace/Yoda/Dooku, 3PO/Leia/Ackbar, Kit Fisto/Bariss Offee/Jag. I'm pretty sure we'll see ones next year/late this year with Aayla Secura, Cad Bane, Bossk, the new Boba Fett and hopefully Jedi Luke.

It's from the Lego Star Wars III trailer.
-
We still haven't seen a Clone Wars version of Padme. What do Lego have against her?
-
I really like the midi sets, the Falcon looks great on my desk and I'll likely get that Star Destroyer too. But without wanting to start a price rant, I felt £30 was a bit too much for the it, and if this one is even more expensive I'll likely do without it. The landing craft is mighty impressive too, looks far better than I imagined!
-
Well, speak for yourself. I love Barriss, I don't have any Kit Fisto's and Jag is good, although the generic pilot would have been better. I am a little annoyed because I already bought the Swamp Speeder mainly for Barris (seemed like a better option than paying slightly less just for the minifig). In the future I'm definitely going to hold off on buying sets just for the minifigs. Aayla Secura and Bane for example are bound to turn up in a magnet set by the end of the year.

They are not an official site, they were just reporting on the ESB celebration where official reps announced this. And like I said, although I think we all pretty much knew they'd be coming next month, this is confirmation.
-
Well, I know a lot of people already have the sets and have assumed they'll be available everywhere next month, but it's nice to have the official word. http://www.jedinews.co.uk/news/news.aspx?newsID=3531 During the event at the National Space Centre, celebrating the 30th Anniversary of ESB they mentioned that the Slave 1, Wampa Cave and AT-AT will be available next month. (and obviously all the non ESB sets too)
-
Aurra Sing really would have made this set for me, as it is I don't think I'll bother. Although the senate clones are pretty cool. I also think it's safe to assume we'll be seeing Aurra in some other set later down the line.. Honestly surprised they didn't do a CW Slave 1 with her, Ahsoka and the young Boba Fett instead of the Empire version.

Review (Picture and Video) 8093 Plo Koon's Starfighter
Penitent Tangent replied to ReZourceman's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I feel the same. I can understand why some may not be in love with another Starfighter that's essentially exactly the same but I think the ships have a great design and Anakins and Ahsoka's look great together, looking forward to adding this one to my collection and hope they do someone elses in the next wave of sets too. I think Mace Windu's is a good possibility. Kit Fisto and Obi-wans have also appeared, but they both look too similar to Ahsoka's. -
Might have been intersted in getting the AT-OT and/or Home One if it weren't for the new sets coming, I think I'll just order some of those from Amazon instead. I didn't want to get my hopes up but the sticker sheet is still disappointing and the chance of winning a bronze Boba doesn't win me over, especially as it doesn't seem to be available for Europe.

The speeder certainly looks interesting, I'm a little put off by the price tag and the absence of Aura Sing, but I'm looking forward to seeing some clearly pictures. Also, not sure if this has been mentioned anywhere, but I got an email about the new sets, apparently there's some news coming soon. Probably just regarding the release information of the new sets, but I thought it was interesting.
