UK Chrome Vader @TRU ! + set update
Razzer replied to The Rancor's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Do you have any idea how long this offer will run? Because I can't think of anything Star Wars I want right now and if its only for today I'll have to run! This is great news!! -
It's very attractive from the exterior in my opinion but the interior is definately lacking detail as I was at least expecting a bed of some sort, however the extras (yellow surfboard escpecially) more than make up for that. Thanks for the Review!

My word this set is amazing, I love all of the little details like the decorations and the JackintheBox, might have to get this instead of the Advent Calendars this year...
-
Although these openings are useless to me, I can't complain because more Lego stores is undeniably good news, but we seriously need a Lego shop somewhere in the North of England as there are a couple down South and I can't afford to travel to Brghton every time I want to go to one Also, whatever happened to the Lego discovery/imagination centre that was going to be built in Scarborough, it just disapeared, and it would have been perfect too...

Some nice landscaping techniques there, I especially like the rock. Also, nice use of the pirate torso for the lumberjack!
-
Well I doubt I'll be able to get this set, but I can dream can't I! Also, are those TAN beards on top?
-
Wow. This set looks fantastic, especially for the minifigs! I'm gonna have to get this providing its affordable, thanks very much for the review. Those civilian torsos seem veery useful...(three in one set )
-
Nice review Guss, I like the way you had your sigfig present it! This was the first Indy set I bought and I must say it doesn't have many bricks but the large amount of accesories and figs for such a small set makes up for that. (I still think it could use a crystal skull though...) I completely agree with you there, it seems Lego does this with a lot of sets, is yellow cheap to make or something? Thanks

Well done with these and winning best vignette. I saw them in somebody's Brickfest folder on brickshelf and was amazed! May I ask which soccer set those scarf stickers were included in because I adore that snow scene and would like to try my hand at something similar!
-
Well done, I've seen a few mortar designs recently and I must say that this is my favourite so far (I'll have to try make my own for my Japanese troops). Nice photography too by the way, I really like the angle of the shot Man I need some of those M1 helmets...
-
Oh my God that is amazing! Although I can't help thinking that it dhould have some sort of horn? Even withuot it it still captures the look of a rhino for me anyway though because of its stockiness, well done on this creation.
-
Well that just has to be some of the best photography I've ever seen smokebelch (and you too Danthebrick!). Definately got to set one of thyese as my wallpaper

For me it has to be town/city as making city buildings is the only MOCing that I'm good at, at the moment (definately need to increase vehicle building skills.)

And svelte_corps does it again! Got to say that from the second I saw this set I knew I would be buying more than one, definately the best IJ set that happens to be based on the best scene in IJ (in my opinion of course)

REVIEW: Indiana Jones 7196 Chauchilla Cemetery Battle
Razzer replied to Svelte's topic in LEGO Licensed
Thanks for another great review svelte_corps! I'm definately going to buy the other IJ sets coming up this year but was going to pass on this, but now I know that Indy has a new head... weeeeeell, looks like its a must have! -
Very well done! I always find that vehicles are the hardest things to build but yours looks spectacular!
-
Wow! I absolutely love your photos! If you ask me that scout trooper could really do with a fishing rod as the way you've photographed it he looks as though he's sitting on a river bank to me.

I your saloon Klaus-Dieter because it looks in the style of the old western sets perfectly, even with all of the play features TLG would have probably included.

Rock Raiders Versus Power Miners
Razzer replied to Sir Dano's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Haha! Thats exactly what I thought when I first saw the new power miner sets: 'these don't hold a candle to rock raiders, they'd just mine the planet hollow and the rock monsters would have no chance, I mean they're tiny compared to what rock raiders are used to!' I still love power miners though... -
As much as I love the looks of the others, I voted for number one as it looks like there could be some tall buildings included and I can't beleive I'm the first person to say this but look at the road! Wouldn't it be great if TLG released a roundabout? I don't know about the transportation centre though, because it can't possibly include all of those differant methods of transport and so we have no idea what will actually be included.... although it still looks awsome.

Phew, I really dodged a bullet there, because I completely forgot to vote in the second episode but luckily all my faves are still safe. I don't know why, because I'm quite a good guy, but I'm really rooting for the baddies here; Sergei, Ferid, I'd like to see them team up and then there'd be trouble . It would be interesting though if Ferid couldn't communicate with anyone and just slowly evolved into a compassionate character after seeing Anne's suffering, that or kill her, one of the two.... Oh and I know that XETA helps the story move along by letting the characters cross the language barrier, but it all seems a bit too perfect if you know what I mean, alien technology that knows all about Earth? I think this need some explaination, maybe he (it?) should get damaged and lose some of his memory, just an idea, cos he interests me so I still want him in. Overal, I'm liking the inclusion of a new character, Rhodos, because it means that some far flung THX 1138 or post-apoc character might just be possible!

Great new series Sandy, I was too late to keep up with the story for IA so I'll be sure to follow this story closely. I for one want to know a lot more about Sergei, I mean so many questions; why is he alone, where is he, why is his leg bleeding? (well not that many...) My only criticism would be that 2200 seems a bit early for widescale space travel and I would have loved more extreme dates, past and future.

Thats a brilliant little fighter and I love the colour scheme and overall shape, although I don't know why you didn't save it for later, I mean you never know what the next contest will be...
