  1. In his hunt to track down the "Foreign Pirates" of the brand "Toyrific", redcoat Captain Brickington, is finally forced to follow Corporal Stud's advice and beg parlay at Skulls Nest - due to having a severe lack of men... and a ship. This is the set (designed to be a cut-away section of the Pirate Haven "Skulls Nest") on which i filmed my latest brickflick, the flick itself can be found down at the bottom of this post, or in the seperate topic "Brickington Sails Forth". Please enjoy! Overview A view of the front: And of the back: From the side: The other side! And a top down-ish view! Close ups The Captains of the "Pirates Captains Comittee Meeting" are interupted with a beg of Parlay from Captain Brickington. Meanwhile downstairs, the pirate band keeps the occupants of the tavern entertained: A would-be troublemaker is taught a lesson by the barmaid: Outside, an elderly fisherman sells his latest catch: An unfortunate individual is dumped in a barrel, much to the amusement of those around him: Ale recently looted from a passing trade ship is passed up the steps onto the docks: And keeping a watchful eye out for incoming imperial forces is the lookout, while below the cannon is manned to ensure a quick defence if needed! Now that you've seen the images, please watch it all come to life in the Brickflick! (Even if you havent watched the other episodes, it should still pretty much make sense! ) (^ Available in upto 720dp ^) Thanks for reading! All comments are much appreciated about both the brickflick and the pics! Duck
  2. Glad you liked what you've seen so far, and i hope you'll enjoy the rest when you get time to watch it!
  3. Thanks for the positive comments guys! . Yeah i'm producing these at a much faster rate at the moment as i seem to have time and also i keep having ideas for where to take the series next which gives me the motivation to start making the next episode almost as soon as i finish the last one! Hope you enjoyed it even more with sound the second time you watched it Cap'n Becker! And i'm glad you felt inspired by it Cherno, surprisingly non-typical pirates are the way to go! I'm just in the process of taking pictures for a skulls-nest MOC then i'm sure filming for the next episode will be commencing shortly!
  4. Ahoy shipmates! Brickington Sails Forth is my erratically released series which follows the life of Captain Brickington and his crew of misfits in the hunt for some foreign pirates("Toyrific" lego clones). Episode five is in my own modest opinion, my best film by far, using a better program and the main characters are now fully developed from the first few episodes. So, even if you havent watched, or dont have the time to watch the first four episodes, do please watch Episode Five and tell me what you think! (It should make enough sense on its own!) LATEST: Episode Five - Skulls Nest Brickington and his men arrive in the Pirate Haven of Skulls Nest to seek parlae with the mythical Pirate Captains Council. MOC of the film-set for skulls nest coming soon! (^ Available in upto 720dp ^) Thanks for watching!

  6. Thats one impressive meeting! If i ever managed to build a ship of such size and beauty, i wouldnt dare attempt to travel with it anywhere! It was well worth it though! Amazing!
  7. Nice! I like the colour scheme (i'm working on a ship with a similar colour-scheme also as it happens - all will be revealed soon enough!). My only suggestion would be to maybe give that poor captain some form of window in his cabin!
  8. Very impressive! I can just imagine that tower creaking in the wind and swaying slightly from side to side. Do you have any background story or any ideas on where this lighthouse would be found to add to bring it to life a little bit more?
  9. I really like the design of this ship! I've got a few bow and stern sections lying around with no mid-sections to add to them, so have been wondering what ways to use these and so this has given me some ideas for small-hulled vessels! A fantastic little ship!
  10. Fair play, the stop-motion was amazing and so smooth! The picture quality was also fantastic - something which currently suffers in my own videos (see sig) due to currently using SAM animation which converts them into avi-files and loses quality + the program also has alot of bugs. I like to think that my voiceacting-attempt-at-comedy makes up for the lack of quality - although others may not agree Seeing this has convinced me to download the program i see you used and give that a try! Fantastic work, and cant wait to see more!
  11. Thanks Big Cam! Much appreciated! For anyone who has commitment issues and is unsure whether they want to watch twenty or so minutes worth of this series, i've put together a trailor with bits from the four episodes - under the cunning youtube name of "Lego Pirates Trailer" so that youtube users may stumble accross it abit more easily - Sneaky one i am!
  12. Thanks for the comments! Sadly i was missing fire-pieces at the time, so the small fire in the middle was the best i can do! :P As the video shows, i wouldnt really class it as a "trial" more of being told what they've done wrong and whats going to happen as a result ;) My entire collection of greenery went into this model, much of it is in the background however. Perhaps adding some green plates to make the floor a little more bumpy and less flat would have been an idea though! Good point sir! Annnnnd, updated the first post with the better quality pictures! :) My girlfriend has just bought a new better camera, so i'm intending on stealing that for future MOC's to get better pictures! Glad you liked it! Hope you enjoyed the others also if you had time to watch them!
  13. And episode four is up! As Captain Brickington and his men are brought before the Bird King, is it the end for them?
  14. Having been previously captured by islanders, Captain Brickington and his crew of misfits are brought before the Bird King to face justice. as always, all feedback is much appreciated! :) Edit, mistake in title: Should be Village of the Bird King... oops!
  15. Having been captured by a scouting party of islanders shortly after being shipwrecked, Captain Brickington and his crew of misfits are taken to face justice at the hands of the Bird King. Captain Brickington and his men are led into the village. Ensuring that these invaders dont do a runner, the scouting party keep a close eye (and spear) on them, while a monkey sits in a tree watching the events with its coconut in hand! A drummer keeps up the beat of the bongo as he watches these oddly dressed prisoners pass. A small sentry hut stands near the river, from where a guard can keep watch for other would-be trespassers. The Bird King himself comes forth from his hut to pass judgement, accompanied by his two guards. Behind him, he leaves his hut of literally, simple luxuries (apparently nothing other than shelter!) The Bird Kings guards, when not on-duty, have their own hut next door in which to rest. The ladies of the village come out of a hut where they were relaxing, to watch the proceedings, much to Sergeant Block and Corporal Stud's delight. Towering over the events, is the statue ontop of the jagged mountain which looms over the village. It represents the Bird Kings who have (rather swiftly) succeeded each other for generations. Is this the end for Captain Brickington and his crew? Only one way to find out... Thankyou for reading and watching, and all feedback on both the video and village is much appreciated! Duck
  16. I really like the look and feel of this MOC!It still has the feel of the original but so much more detail! The Imperial Trading Post was one of my favorite sets of my childhood and this has brought back the memories of what i imagined it to be! Hats off to you sir!
  17. This ship is fantastic, i really love the way it all comes apart like it does! It has the realism/lego feel balance perfectly. Nice find and welcome AUDI.TW!
  18. Filming for episode four is currently underway and i would hope to have it released by the end of the week! Also, i'll be showing a MOC of the islanders village to go with this one! Heres a teaser trailer though. After being captured by the islanders, what will Captain Brickington and his mens fate be?

  20. Being the old trafitionalist that i am, i'll probably buy a couple of the sets (not sure which, depends upon my budget at the time!) and replace the fleshy pieces with yellow coloured ones if i do end up mixing them in with my other pirates - although its possible that i'll just keep the sets intact and seperate, as i find that buying smaller sets and using them for "decorational purposes" is the easiest way to get my girlfriend to agree to my lego addiction these days. I think she'll be converted one day, as she's starting to get quite excited about opening packets from the minifigures series to see what we've got :P.
  21. An amazing ship, from the sails, to the rigging, to the hull. It was well worth the 1.5 years of building! Fantastic work!
  22. Love the display! The water is done really nicely and the little touches like the sailor being chased by the shark are superb! Wish i could have seen it in the flesh, so to speak!
  23. An amazing ship, it is beautifully made! The dedication and attention to detail speaks volumes! Well done both of you! :)
  24. Thanks for the positive comments! Another episode should be on its way sometime in the near future! :D
  25. After some time away from these forums, i was surprised and saddened to read this news. I cant say i knew him well, but his forum name is definetly one which i instantly remembered due to his activity and commitment. My thoughts are with his family. RIP.
