  1. As for both the most recent and the upcoming episode: I'm disappointed. They're messing with the existing canon way too much now - I was expecting Ahsoka to die. I give them one more chance for that - which is next episode. If it doesn't happen then either, I expect that they would just come up with a lame excuse to let her live or something. I'm not liking where this is going: Anakin shouldn't have known that he was destined to become Darth Vader already. Other than that, Altar of Mortis was fairly boring. Hopefully the rest of the episodes will make up for this. ~ General Magma
  2. Ah, thanks for the information! That will be very helpful and useful - I'll get onto fixing/adding those things soon. I want to base this one either off of the Red 5 model for Luke, or else Biggs Darklighter's Red 3. Later on I might make 2 others aswell. ~ General Magma
  3. Hello everyone! I've been busy working on an X-wing Fighter lately, and since it will take a while til I'm done with the wings and am ready to start making the body, I figured it might be useful if I posted some WIP shots, to give you guys a first impression and the ability to give me suggestions about what I could change about the wings. I have almost finished 2 of the bottom wings, and wanted to do it in SNOT. The shape of the wings was mainly inspired by Marshal Banana, but I wanted to do a gray X-wing, and I changed some aspects of the wings - now they're about the same size as the official pieces TLC uses for wings. Let me know what you think about these so far, and remember that suggestions are always welcome: in fact, that's the reason I posted the WIP version for now and not just the completed version later on. Here's the earlier wing design - to show the rest of the wing except for only the finalized laser cannon: There we had the earlier design: the new one is the same, except for the laser cannon which had been adjusted a bit: Let me know what you think about it so far, please, suggestions are always welcome. I can smell fallenangel already. ~ General Magma
  4. Wow. That is some epicness right there. Thanks a heap for those, they all look great! The Geonosian is not green, the Ewoks are simply fantastic, Mundi has a removable headpiece, Luke's new head is much better, as is the hairpiece.. All other figures look great, too. Obi-Wan is smiling a bit too much, though. Qui-Gon looks too old. Great to have a newly colored Rodian head, and Maul looks very good. The Ewoks remain one of my favorites, though, mainly because I'm going to make Endor. However.. Where are the minifigs from the Echo base, and the pics of the sets themselves? Well, we'll come across those nonetheless. ~ General Magma
  5. Wait, ewok martians? Thanks for confirming some stuff anyways - some of these were old news, but is the Geonosian going to be green or not? I can't recall having seen green ewoks. Ever. ~ General Magma
  6. 1) DSD from O12 to O14 2) Droid transport from P9 to P10 3) Droid transport from J7 to J8 4) MTT from L10 to L11 5) AAT from N6 to N7
  7. That's a good idea, I wanted to use a 1x1 clipped piece aswell (horizontal) and illegally connect it with the "forks", but that should do the trick too. I'll give that a go, I'll post a pic soon. EDIT: I managed to execute Praiter Yed's idea for the pedals. It looks more accurate, although the speeder bike is having problems standing up - I can't add a stand either. Any solutions? ~ General Magma
  8. Well, I decided to take some pics of the new designs for the pedals. They're still tests, and I could use suggestions for a new pedeal design. If you've got any other suggestions, please tell them so I can try those. The original pedal design with cheese slopes added, to mark the actual pedal part. I used the ski-pieces so the speeder bike could stand up nicely without tipping over. The bottom wouldn't fit trans-clear studs or other pieces to create the illusion of hovering, as it's SNOB (Studs Not On Bottom ), but also SNOT. Or whatever you'd want to call it. That would make it Studs Nowhere To Be Found. Or just studless. Well, either way, here it is, the original design + cheese slopes: And here the use of lever pieces, as suggested by Stardusty: I personally prefer the original design with the addition of cheese slopes - the levers are a bit too thin and too long for their size. The skis are way too big as for accuracy too, but it gives the bike the opportunity to stand up nicely without falling over. I'll have to find another solution that is accurate, but can have the bike stand up too. Suggestions are welcome as always. ~ General Magma
  9. After nearly a month without doing LEGO photography shots, I decided to do some lighting experiments today, including one shot with my new Royal Guards. Which is your favorite? Enjoy... 10. From two trades over on Flickr, I managed to score the following minifigs and pieces: 2 Stormtroopers Shahan Alama Chief Chirpa Paploo Wicket Endor Rebel Trooper AT-AT Driver Scout Trooper Collectible minifig "Space Alien" R2-Q5 (Imperial astromech droid) 2 Neimoidian heads, black Sith-like arabian robed torso, Nute Gunray's hat, 2 BrickArms U-clips and Nute Gunray's hat 4 Royal Guards All in all, a great minifig haul! ~ General Magma
  11. Happy birthday KimT, have (or hope you've had) a great one! Hopefully you got lots more LEGO Star Wars sets to fill your swimming pool with. ~ General Magma
  12. Hmm.. I've got mixed feelings about the figure. Overall, it looks meh. The head looks ok, but the way they did the horns on the head; a hat?..Horrible. Only good thing is that you can remove it to place on a hood, but hmm.. The horns are way too small. The only thing I like about it is the armor plate. I could just put my custom Savage's head onto the torso, and there we go. Now if only we could get sneak peeks for the other figures.. ~ General Magma
  13. As a birthday present for me, yes. The only problem would be that I don't even live close to California, so that visit isn't going to happen anytime soon for me. Would you just see pictures, etc. or are you inside a real, moving vehicle during the tour? (If so, on wheels then I assume.) I just found the same article, and it's just a shame that they had to encourage the improper plural form of 'LEGO'. I also have to agree on that last point. ~ General Magma
  14. Alright, so here's an idea for Chancellor Palpatine's Arrest. Note that most of the figures mentioned would be re-makes, to get rid of their Clone Wars-ifications - Saesee would reuse the current headpiece, the new Eeth Koth's hairpiece could be used for Agen Kolar, Kit Fisto would be the same as we've seen him before and Windu just a non-CW version, same for Palpy. Chancellor Palpatine's Arrest Minifigs: Chancellor Palpatine (double sided head - regular neutral head and wrinkled head, probably somewhat like the new Emperor Palpatine's head), Mace Windu, Agen Kolar, Kit Fisto and Saesee Tiin. The eventual addition of a new ep3 Anakin, but I doubt they would. Would be a nice addition if they did, though. Comes with: Chancellor's Private Chambers with a window. Other than that, there's also Palpatine's office with 4 chairs, smashable window play feature (?), the table and enough room for a minifig to lie against the ends of the window. Maybe a blast door as an addition, with a small hallway. Piece count: Around 750 Price: $100+ ~ General Magm
  15. Thanks. And regarding the size: it's right this way, actually. Not completely the right size, but this is about the size it should be: else it would be too big or harder to make. I just tried that, but the pedestals then seem a little too thin and long. Not sure, might have to try it again, but I'll try several things. Ah, thanks for pointing that out. I thought them to be about identical to each other, but it seems I was wrong. ~ General Magma
  16. Thanks for the feedback, everyone! I still haven't got around to making the pedestals smaller. Yes, that is true - I cut some small parts off a flex tube, AKA pneumatic (?) hose. I have yet to try that, but I don't know what you exactly mean. Any specific way of adding the levers to the speeder bike? ~ General Magma
  17. Thanks everyone! Hmm, yes, they seemed fine, although a little big, to me at first, but it is too large indeed. I'll incorporate some smaller ones into version 2, to completely finish it. ~ General Magma
  18. I liked this episode, although Ventress should've been killed off. Now there's no real outcome, and both Savage Opress and Ventress escaped. The action was great, nonetheless. And again, they failed to show a preview afterwards. I only found one video preview for the next episode on YouTube, but it was filmed horribly, so I figured I'd better not post it here. ~ General Magma
  19. Hello all! A few weeks ago, I decided to make a speeder bike as one of the small starts for my Battle of Endor project. I've seen Brickdoctor's version of the model, and it was fantastic: the only thing that bothered me was that the legs had to be taken off the figure and attached to the speeder bike for it to sit. I put my figures on vehicles alot of times, but they are also taken off to go somewhere else on display, or to serve as figures for a new MOC very often. It would be a pain to have to take off the legs each time I wanted it to ride the bike, with my habit of moving minifigs alot of times. So then, I decided to try a design that could easily have the figure be placed onto it, and off again. The parts from Brickdoctor's design are the connecting technique for the outriggers to the steering vanes onto the bike, as well as the back portion: backpack, cheese slopes and the bumper plate. I replaced the gray slope with a brown one, and turned it around so it'd look more like a seat. (Otherwise itw ould look like one too, but I liked it better this way) - the light blaster cannon piece (aka a screwdriver) is the same piece he used for the blaster, but more people use that. The hardest part was to find a way to incorporate a seat into the speeder bike so the figure would fit: It took days to get it right, but the hard work paid off. The things I use for the handlebars are small parts I cut off a pneumatic hose, placed onto a droid arm for each side. Alright, let's move onto the pictures now. These aren't all of them, so make sure to click the links below this post to check the rest. 74-Z Speeder Bike 74-Z Speeder Bike by General Magma, on Flickr The comparison shot with the official model by TLC: 74-Z Speeder Bike (comparison) by General Magma, on Flickr 74-Z Speeder Bike - schematics by General Magma, on Flickr View the rest of the pictures here. 20. Alrighty then.

Also, I just posted this speeder bike on MOCpages:

I'll have to post it here too, later today.

  21. I have to agree with you there. TCW has too many new ships and vehicles thrown into the show, while we don't see such large amounts of variable vehicles used by a total of two factions in the OT. The CIS is mostly outnumbered, or loses way too easily. They added some stupid jokes for the battle droids, which doesn't seem right to me. It is a war, isn't it? No kiddy festival. Obi-Wan, as in EP4: ANH, described the Clone Wars as a time everybody would rather forget about, while in the CW movie he was just drinking tea with a CIS general. Episode 1 and 2 (the prequels) weren't good, and mostly badly written. For some reason, I did like episode 3: ROTS, though. (Most parts of it, that is..) TCW and most aspects from the prequels just don't do it for me as real Star Wars. I can still accept them, but not completely.. OT stands above all, of course - the pride of Star Wars, where realism is to be found. It's not perfect either, but hey, can you name anything that is perfect? The Original Trilogy will always remain my favorite, although I build stuff from all most eras. The OT didn't use CGI. Instead, real models of the vehicles and buildings were used, making it more real. ~ General Magma
  22. Thank you.

Yes, I've been building several things lately, I'm also busy with a Felucia diorama. (Galactic Civil War)

I'm also working on an X-Wing, and my planned TIE Fighter is postponed for now. Soon, I will finally start my Endor project..

  23. He didn't look that ugly, to me. But comparing him to the other CW characters, it may make it a bit less worse. Now we just need Rahm Kota and his militia troops in there. Perhaps he could be teaming with Windu, since they were said to be friends? Well, it would be nice to have Kota there nonetheless. Durge, anyone? Season 4, perhaps.. Or late season 3? Who knows.. ~ General Magma
  24. Well, I'm not feeling fine as I would usually say, I've had some strange kind of 'ilness' the past few weeks. I'm still trying to find out what it could be, but as far as I can remember, I haven't ever had this before - shaking limbs (kind of, it's not exactly shaking - however, my belly is), strange kidns of pains.. It will eventually go away - I think.. Well, I hop...
