  1. And here's mine: "The Angry Customer" Great contest!
  2. How is the building going guys?
  3. That is a very nice ship with an oustanding rigging! Exactly as LEGO should make them. Great job! Soon!
  4. That new figurehead is hilarious!
  5. You are a rich man, you'd better prepare to be plundered. :pir-skull:
  6. Hehe, we had an amazing day with our 'altar'. I'm so looking forward to the next Tournament of Retribution! You hava an awesome treasure collection Admiral, looks shiny. I suddenly notice I still have one of your gold bowls here. Again, a nice collection.
  7. There is a wild west addiction going on I see! A stunning creation Etzel! Nice details and colours! The abandoned shop is amazing, and the cactus' colour is awesome. Really good job there!
  8. That's a simple and effective design! Neat! Looks very realistic!
  9. Looks like the telescope piece is really popular!
  10. That is just an epic vessel! I'm very impressed! Both her shapes and rigging is perfect, as well for the details. I think the bow is a bit low, but the stern is a piece of art. And of course:
  11. The width of the stern six times in the length of the ship, or something close, gets the best result.
  12. That looks great already! A bit short for a brig perhaps concerning it's height, but I like the colours. Keep it up!
  13. I have also several worn off gold coins so they look chrome silver now. My crown is also getting silver. Now I keep my coins and gold things in a special plastic bag to keep them in good condition. Gold and silver swords for example get crappy very quickly too. Chrome gold and silver are quite fragile colours.
  14. A stunning creation ISC! Everything is just beautiful. I like to see them at work, knowing only a few will get rich. Very nice job, and I'm looking forward to the next part of Tombclone city.
  15. I wasn't even aware of her new name! Thanks for pointing out Zuloo, and thanks for that article Dread Pirate Wesley! Very helpful.
  16. The HMS Rose is a very inspirational ship indeed, many members here use it as a reference. I wish you all the best with your build, and keep us posted about your progress!
  17. And it has been done.
  18. Nice. My favorites are the telescope elements, many ways to use them. The golden epaulettes, they are very realistic. The metal coloured cannons are much better then the old dark grey ones, they look so real now.
  19. That made me laugh, Hyphen's pics too, very funny. I saw something funny here at EB as well, don't know exactly where it was. A Soldiers Arsenal set, with a teared name sticker so there was an Soldiers big behind for sale.
  20. I like both, smooth surfaces have to be tiled, tables and sometimes floors. Tile a surface with brown tiles and you have a wonderful wooden floor which is impossible to make with studs. For roads I like studs though, but for wall tops I prefer tiling again. I like both, I just use tiles when it looks better. Water doesn't always need to be tiled. Nice topic.
  21. Looks great! A nice start for a wild-west town. I like the rolling bushes and the building architecture. The green with white colours for the Sheriff's office work very well. The cowboys and bandits are nice too. Great job and good luck with the expansion!
  22. Le Grandeur will sail on the frontpage! Soon!
  23. Then touch them. I know I had much more coins, but I'm defenitely I've lost a lot. Vacüum cleaning is a disaster for coins. Coins are quite expensive on BL too, 0,8 USD for a 100 coins 'package'.
  24. I take good care of it! 1010 gold pieces was quite surprising, I didn't expected that to have. I'm happy you like it.
  25. A large 74 gunner does cost money, so I'd say go for the best result. Like Zuloo already said it is possible to build a 74 gun ship on prefab hulls, but to make it minifig scale, or close to, you defenitely need a brickbuilt hull. I'm building a ship with about 54 or 64 guns, close to minifig scale and it is impossible to build it on prefab hulls. Linky. I hope that helps, and good luck with the build!
