  1. I'm not a big fan of mixing the new fleshy parts up with the old yellow ones. I prefer keeping them all yellow, the sets contain a lot of great pieces. Very useful for MOCing and to dress up your minifigs. The parts are a reason for me to acquire a few sets, and of course BrickLink is a valuable brick source! I have voted for 'undecided' as there were more options appealing to me, too hard to pick one.
  2. An unique ship indeed! I love the creativity of people when less useful ship building bricks are at hand. Well done! The only thing I miss is an overall picture of the completed ship. And some pictues from the rigging/sails would be nice. Those Persia set parts have a nice colour, very useful for shipbuilding! Furthermore I would like to see some proper punctuation. Capitalizing the "i" for example.
  3. Heavy pictures indeed! I would ask you to resize them to a maximum of 800x600 pixels though, as that's the maximum maintained on Eurobricks. There are several free resizing programs on the web to be found; Irfanview for example. Your fleet is simply stunning, well presented too! The diversity of the ships is good, every ship is unique which makes the fleet interesting to look at. Very well done I'd say! Do you want feedback on each of the ships too?
  4. A happy birthday to you KimT! While the day is nearly over I hope you had a great one.

All the best for the upcoming years!

  5. Here is my feedback on this already good looking scenery. I would get rid of those large wooden poles due to historic and architectural realism. The stone top floor is falling apart while these wooden beams are still standing. Wooden beams were also hardly used in the corners for defensive structures. I would certainly add woodwork somewhere, but not in the corners. Replacing them with grey bricks should be awesome. I'm also a tile fan, but that's just personal, I would tile the outpost structure on the top and add a lone flagpole with perhaps a torn flag on it. Hope that helps!
  6. What program are you using to resize your pictures? A nice scene Taz! I like the idol/statue in the back. And it's always nice to see a classic Islander cooking party! Well done!
  7. These are some fine pictures Mister Phes! Looks great.
  8. Looks like a cafe I would get my daily coffee! It's even better with these crispy pictures. Thanks for sharing.
  9. Yuck. Although I like the ship displayed on the box! It would be a nice MOC except for those terrible sails. LEGO though has a high quality product, and I love to pay some extra for it. I don't like faded colours and bricks which fall of eachother when they are supposed to be stuck. Thanks for informing us DC!
  10. And there she is! What a lovely ship, the build already promised this would be one of the most amazing ships I have seen. The amount of detail you have poured in this ship is incredible, everything is just there! You have also used new techniques in this ship, and I'm sure we'll see them used in more ships soon! The sails could be a bit darker, it would add withered look to them. The shape of the sails are great, sharp edges and no raffling. The rigging is incredible, it looks very sturdy. The colours and thickness perfectly fit with this ship. Until now I only have seen this kind of rigging on wooden ship models in a museum. It looks like the build had another reward too. Congratulations!
  11. You get the point! I'd recommend to download Irfanview. It's a free program, excellent at resizing. Now about your ship: The hull technique you are using looks good to me. I would just go and try if there is a way to make the curve less blocky. It now jumps with one brick. Try it with plates underneath the slopes instead so the curve bends less blocky. I will draw an image to explain soon. Good luck!
  12. A great ambitious project indeed! Really interesting. As stated before by Phred, you have to reduce the size of your pictures to a maximum of 800x600 pixels. This was asked several days ago. I have to remove the pictures if you refuse to resize them.
  13. Indeed a fine looking vessel! The sail is amazing and I like the scorpion details. I also move this to the MOC forum as it belongs there.
  14. Good. Then keep this on topic from now on! Thanks!
  15. Thank you very much mikey, I have been struggling with the pig pen but at the lower floor there was no sufficient space. It would take a lot of space and it looks odd through the large opening. Thanks Kiel! I'm glad you like my work! Haha, thanks Hive! Thanks Admiral! However I must admit it was quite odd to have a distinguished building used as a storehouse including pigs. The interior turned out better then expected though, as I was limited to a few bricks. Thank you very much Sirens Of Titan! My next project (to be posted within a few days) will contain some rare colours as well. I hope you will like that too. Thank you Skalldyr! I'm glad you like it. But: What is wrong with my guitar?? Thank you for your feedback the Inventor! The storehouse is a guards post as well, as there is an armory and a lookout post on top. The prisoner is just a thief or a highwayman of some kind. Thanks! I'm quite fond of these technic pieces as they indeed provide a good ammount of detail. No 'I'm a conformist!' this time? Thank you for your kind words lightningtiger! I'm glad you like it. Thanks BC! Lucky enough there are no pirates around here, but bandits, marauders, highwaymans and enemy factions all round! Thank you Captain Becker! The guard post is indeed a nice lookout over the surrounding lands.
  16. Today I have made the last details on my latest work: the Storehouse of Cochenheim! The build took longer then expected, because a lot of bricks were still in one of my Grumnite Village series, and they had to be photographed first etc. Anyway, now it is finished and I'm pleased with the result as it is my first Castle building in ages! The main picture. I love how the dark orange turned out. The left side, I've tried to combine stone and wood and several architectures in this building. It is all very sturdy and it looks good I think. A closeup on the roofing work, I'm very pleased with the result. It took some time to make it all sturdy and detailed as possible. Using dark brown tiles in there instead of reddish brown was a good choice as it looks more realistic now. And of course there is an interior! What would a storehouse be if you can't store anything inside? In the cellar, or dungeon, you'll find the armory and prison. On the lower floor there is a storage area with several shelves and crates filled with goodies. On the upper floor there is a huge shelf, pig pen, crane and many more. Enough space to store all the goods from the surrounding farmland and travelling merchants. Speaking of merchants, there we have one! A failed picture, but I like it's darkness. Thanks for watching! There is always more to see on Flickr! C&C always welcome.
  17. A nice review Nicker! I'm surprised to see how the cage fences are build, that is quite nice! I also never realized the body armour mold was already 21 years old! In other words: a very informative review!
  18. That is a job very well done Admiral! The guy looks very realistic to me! You may become a great customizer yourself one day! Just a question: Where did he left his sword?
  19. That would be great, I'm looking forward to it!
  20. I really like this one. 200% archer awesomeness is indeed true. The cliff looks great but my favorite part are the archer minifigs. Hoses again prove to be very useful! It works with almost every weapon. I hope to see more from you soon.
  21. A very nice review about a nice set. It is awesome to see so many features in the old sets. Have fun with the fortress and thank you for this review!
  22. My votes: HMS Gallardia by Maydayartist - 1 point An very original built vessel, I have seldomly seen this technique. Let alone seeing it being used on a ship. Excellent. Le Vesta by Admiral Croissant - 2 points I have seen the stages of this mighty vessel with my own eyes and the improvements on her all the time are truely spectacular. HMS Sabre by Swab - 1 point A simple but very effective ship, the vessel is really appealing to me and the rigging is absolutely top notch. Tornado of Souls by Derfel Cardarn - 1 points A lovely ship, well shaped and great colours. The brick built sails really did it for me! Le Achille by Perfectionist - 2 points I have never deemed such a fantastic vessel being possible to be built with LEGO. While it has no sails yet it is one of the very best ships I've seen. Perfectionist is an excellent name for such a ship builder. There you have it! There are a lot of beautiful shaped LEGO ships sailing the seven seas, and I think everyone should be proud!
  23. I agree 200% with the fact the upcoming sets promise a lot concerning new parts! It is mostly the poor design of some sets which people don't like. But the parts only is already a reason to buy these sets as soon as possible.
  24. I'm sorry Ratshot, I couldn't resist! I thought you had enough treasure around your neck to afford a whole new barrel. With the rum included.
