    Vipera's serpentine tongue traces a delicate arc across Hokes face. He feels as though his flesh is being seared right off, but the pain quickly subsides and a flow of strength and vitality settle into Hoke's core. "Thank you my friend. I know you will be valiant in this fight. May we meet again, and this time, much sooner." Hoke lifted his shoulder as Vipera took flight and landed back where she was to be. He was sad to leave her again, but there was a quest to complete, and their respective roles dictated the separation. "Shall we be off Cronk? Is there any business that we need to attend to first? Information to attain?"

    Woohoo! I knew borrowing money for buying Vipera was an awesome idea! Now if only I can get this Lucky & Blessed to be permanent...

    "Where will you go?" Hoke asked Vipera, "You aided me when I needed you, and, sensing the enormity of this task, I would welcome your abilities as well as your company."

    Although a bit larger than the last time he saw her, Hoke recognized Vipera at once. "Well met my friend! I trust your journeys have been well and your people are once again safe and thriving? Do tell me of your adventures!" Hoke said in his mind as he held his arm out for Vipera to rest on.

    Hoke let's Skrall and Dyric have their say, the whole time listening intently. "I went on a quest that seemed to have no purpose. So much so, that the employer stopped us and sent the party back to Heroica Hall. After that rather unfortunate misadventure, I was called home to some urgent matters that needed to be dealt with. As for this grayness, I do not care for the idea. There is black and white, right and wrong. It may take time to sort out, but it always comes out to black and white. I have not heard Arthur's take on the grayness, but I know Tesni's grayness is only the darkness boiling under the surface. In the end, I do not believe anything good can come of it."

    Hoke's plans change as the Master Chaos Beast falls. He calls upon the arts he learned in the Training Hall and enchanted his greatsword. Feeling the fresh power in the blade, Hoke decides to attack the remaining enemies with steel. Chaos Beast B, front row, Vintul (greatsword).. (Vintul should be WP: 13 ) (edited to include attack type and fix typo)

    Hoke shifts his focus to the Master Chaos Beast (diamond, back row).

    (Why wood? I had selected a diamond to attack with. I will always use what does the most damage to the most enemies. Can you fix this?)

    Hoke leapt forward with the diamond clenched in gloved fist. With all of the power he could muster, Hoke punched towards the chaos beast. A surge of blinding light slashed the beast, eliciting an angry howl from the otherwordly monstrosity. Hoke repeats his action.

    Hoke tightens his Warrior Treads and Cloak of Deception. He retrieves his Diamond from its pouch and calls forth its energies against the A from the back row. (Magic deals normal damage from the back row, correct? If not, from the front.)

    Hoke closes his eyes and breathes in deeply through his nose. He holds his breath for a moment and lets it all out. The fear, the anxiety, the eagerness. Focus was the goal. To defeat chaos, there had to be order Control. He opens his eyes. Focused.

    "At least Jess isn't here," Hoke quipped with a sneaky chuckle.

    "Peace between us all at this moment. What was said is said and is done. By all accounts no one meant any harm. If the witch Wren were here she would be cackling with glee at the sight of seasoned adventurers bickering like back alley stray cats. This is to end now. We are as one or we are defeated before we even begin."

    "My greetings to you Haldor! It appears that questing has gone well with you. All is well with me now. I was off to home to attend to matters. I journeyed back to Eurobric just a small time ago. Seems I made it just in time to usher the witch to her demise." Hoke smiled. He was glad to be in the presence in these strong warriors and experienced questers. They would need every skill and trick they knew and more to complete the quest ahead of them.

    Hoke hands the scrolls over to party members better suited for use. "Agreed," Hoke nodded at Cronk. "Besides, Haldor, you're a month's beard growth away from being a metasimian, and Thothwick, you're a shave away from being a Nord." Hoke shot the two a wink and smiled. "Let us solidify our purpose as one, especially with the witch and her madness on its way."

    Hoke makes his way out of the Hall and finds the party chatting amongst themselves. A chill breeze traces its icy fingers along Hoke's frame, and he draws his cape on more snugly He is glad for the fur jerkin his family sent him. He greets those that he is acquainted with and introduces himself to those he is not. "My friends, I have two scrolls which I have not used and will lend out on this quest. I would prefer that they be used by our more magically inclined fellows and maidens." Hoke slips his gloved hand into his pack and produces two scrolls with enchanted symbols and ancient tongues swirling about the parchments. Hoke offers up for loan a SCROLL OF FRAILTY and a SCROLL OF WEAKENING.

    Hoke looks up from checking his gear and polishing his sword and shield. He see Johnny Everyman tack a note onto the board which seems to cause quite a commotion. Seems like Wren is on her way.
