  1. Ok, how exactly does the Explosive Staff work?
  2. "Many thanks." Hoke was starting to get bored with this pompous witch. It was time to just end her. "Where to?"
  3. Karaoke machine?
  4. So could I pick something outside my weapon class, like an axe or a club? Just curious.
  5. I hope one of those pics is of Hoke holding his very own Zoot's plaything. (I WAS robbed ya know! ) Speaking of which, how do those work again?
  6. Sweet! Hoke got a costume change last nite, but it be for after the quest is over. I am guessing there will be some tough fights, and clothes will be ruined.
  7. (Are we there yet?!?! )
  8. As long as Hoke gets to take a nap while everyone is changing clothes.
  9. Hoke gently moves Nyx to the side, stoops down and grabs Kronk by the shoulders. Firmly, but with respect, Hoke pulls Kronk to his feet. He looks past Kronks tears and directly into his eyes. "Not now," Hoke says is a low voice that he hopes only Kronk can hear. "You give him power he does not need. Not now."
  10. Haha! My un-over-the-top back story pays off! Thank you, clean livin'!
  11. As soon as the Master of Regret pronounced the induction, Hoke involuntarily sucks in a sharp breath and holds it for a bit. It tastes like old earth of ages long pasts. He coughs it out as quickly as possible but feels a thick coating of the stuff settle onto his tongue. He blinked to just in time to hear the riddle. "Passion favors a life lived, Hope springs forth at the onset, and Regret seeks and an end to its misery. Passion, life. Hope, birth. Regret, death."
  12. "My acquaintance with your brother is as young as a newborn babe, so I am unsure about his favor towards me. Soul consumption you say? Maybe, when the time is right. Tis a pity though. All of your godhood and supposed power, and you are unable to move on the small request from a mere mortal."
  13. Hoke senses the sorcerer's movements and slowly turns his head to regard him. With his hand behind his back, he signals with an open palm to calm Arthur down and shoots him a quick wink while holding a slight glare.
  14. The elder god's words ooze out like black pus in Hoke's ears. The mere suggestion of joining the Court of Demons rankled Hoke's very core. But, a quest is a quest. Hoke did not like the how the deal sounded, but to him, making the deal was like putting on a uniform: you do it to get the job done. Hoke doesn't believe in chaos or care much for those that hold to its ways. He has no love for the Court of Demons. But here, in this situation, he feels himself to be an infiltrator, a spy. This was a legitimate chance to defeat Wren or at least take her out of her own game. Hoke steps towards the Master of Regret. "If I do this, I want power."
  15. Hoke leans into the conversation. "That sounds like a terrible idea," he whispered
  16. I figure if someone else in the party has it down, then ok. Isn't that why quest parties are made up with different types of people/classes with different skill sets?
  17. That's why I got a SWORD!!!
  18. Am I the only one that doesn't care to solve the puzzle?
  19. Hoke slowly pulls the cloak out of his pack and hands it to Arthur, all the while keeping a sharp watch and ear on the conversation at hand. Somehow, he is not surprised at what is said. Hoke returns the Cloak of Deception to Arthur.
  20. Hoke brow slightly furrows as Vipera alights upon the Gray Wizard's shoulder. He can't help but feel a little betrayed, especially since his mistrust of the wizard just grew tremendously after hearing the exchange between the brothers. Sensing that action may take place soon, Hoke switches some gear around and equips the Cultist Hat in place of the Cloak of Deception.
  21. Hoke looks at Vipera and smiles. And steps through the door.
  22. "Let me weigh this request my friend. If I run out of ethereal energies, I will need it to add teeth to Vintul's bite against the undead."
  23. Very much so! Thanks for contributing to the quest!
  24. "I say you should rest my friend and save your strength. Our quest may yet become more dangerous, and I shall only call upon you when truly needed. I am forever grateful to you." Hoke said to Vipera. Hoke truly enjoyed the company of the dragon. He made small talk as they walked along. He listened to tales of the dragon's homeland and their fight against the chimeras. Hoke did not understand why he did not think of this before, but it dawned on him that the small reptilian on his shoulder would one day be a creature of nightmarish proportions. Hoke was glad they were friends.
