Thanks Sandy. I will just hold onto them as Hoke can use scrolls, or let the party's main magic user borrow them during a quest.

Looks like Hoke returned just in time! But I have a question. The scrolls I have: frailty & weakening. What exactly do they do again? How much are they worth if I sell them in the Marketplace (which I may not be able to do now with Elphaba gone)?

Hoke snaps his finger, points at a tankard, and swipes it quickly from Lord Boomingham. "Oh, I will most certainly partake in a refreshment, but I do not intended to overindulge." Hoke took a few large gulps of the frothy brew and grinned. "It is unfortunate that y'all are unable to complete your quest at this time. I do hate leaving things unfinished. I would thoroughly enjoy adventuring out on a quest at the moment, but it looks like we must bide our time in Eurobric for the immediate time." Hoke took another long drink. "Lord Bomingham, I shall play in a game if you will, and I would enjoy hearing stories of adventures new and old from any of you."

Looks like a trip to TRU is in order this evening!

Hoke greets the latest member of the table. He stands up, as a gentleman should when a lady joins the table. "Hoke Ablesword, at your service my lady." Hoke dips into a short bow and seats himself. "I take it you four are previously acquainted?"

"I will excuse myself from such a contest."

Hoke stares for a second with slightly widened eyes, and takes a long blink, shaking his head slowly. "Barty, I do wish you are using some sort of unorthodox philosophy on your subject. Aren't you more interested in redemption? People can only go so long locked in the chains of their past. I do agree with Lord Boomingham to some extent. The strong should protect the weak, but I also believe the weak should become strong themselves."

Hoke walks into Heroica Hall for some rest and a meal. Before making his way to the bar, he scans the the Questboard but only finds wanted posters and a few items for sale. He reads the descriptions on each, shrugs his shoulders and heads to the bar. He places his order and looks over his should into the hall to find a suitable place to take his meal. Hoke sees Lord Boomingham with Barty buzzing about him. With a chuckle and a grin, Hoke grabs the empty chair beside Lord Boomingham. "With what wisdoms are you admonishing Lord Boomingham now Barty?" he asks with wink to Boomingham.

Hoke's eyes follow Boomingham as he walks towards Ellaria. She was a fantastic partner in their quest together, but her reddened, tear rimmed eyes made those days seem like ages long past... Hoke blinked himself out of his reflectiveness and excused himself from the conversation he was not apart of. "Excuse me my friends, but I do believe I will venture out for the day."

"Well met Atramor. Travels have kept me from the Hall and Eurobric for some time now, but I am more than eager to get back into another quest. Unfortunately, all I see are wanted poster for demons and undead beings. Good thing I have this newly acquired diamond for such vile creatures," Hoke said with a wink. "Not as much excitement as I would have liked. I traveled back home to tend to family matters. All is well though, and I am glad to be back. How fares your adventures? Any grand tales to share?"

Hoke roused from his sleep with a full body stretch. He leaned forward in his chair and looked around the Hall. He caught sight of Lord Boomingham chatting with an eccentric but not unfriendly looking fellow. He made his way over to the pair. "Greetings to you Lord Boomingham and friend. I am Hoke Ablesword."

Hoke slides into the cracked door as to not allow the chilly air to swirl itself into the Hall. Noticing the fire in the hearth needs some tending, he grabs a few fresh logs and strategically places them onto the dwindling fire. As smoke curls around the fresh logs, Hoke slides off his capelet into a makeshift blanket and settles into the larged cushioned chair. His eyes begin to droop as the embers lick the logs alight with their devilish embers tongues.

Feeling the wind's whispering chill bite a bit deeper while walking around the Marketplace, Hoke realizes that Elphaba's time to leave is drawing near. Searching his pack, Hoke gathers a few more items he can do without and heads to the appropriate vendors. "Good eve my lady Portia. Perhaps you would like to refresh your stock with these items." Hoke hands Portia 2 POTIONS and receives 5 gold pieces. 84 + 5 = 89 "Mayhaps you would like to purchase this item back good Gnomeo." Hoke hands Gnomeo 1 MAGNIFYING GLASS and receives 15 gold pieces. 89 + 15 = 104 Hoke makes all haste to where Elphaba's colorful wagon was in hopes the witch is still in Eurobric. He breathes a sign of relief as he sees the soft lantern light glowing around the witch's wagon. "I am so glad that we could meet once again. Another of your gems if you would be so kind my lady." Hoke hands Elphaba 100 gold pieces and receives a RUBY. 104 - 100 = 4. Hoke heads back to the Hall for the evening with a lighter coin pouch but an expanded gem collection.

Maybe I should sign up then! :)

Hoke enters the Marketplace after resting at the Hall from his long travels. He has a few items he has lugged around that no longer serve a purpose and wants prepare for a possible future quest: "Greetings good Gnomeo. Would you care to purchase this tool from me?" Hoke hands Gnomeo a TELESCOPE and receives 20 gold pieces in return. 79 + 20 = 99 "Thank you so kindly." Hoke leaves Gnomeo and heads to Anwyl, hoping to catch the city's smith before he closes his shop. "Greeting to you Anwyl, I have these two weapons that I do not use. Would you be interested?" Hoke hands Anwyl the AXE (WP:7, suitable to Berserkers) and RUSTED SWORD (WP: 5, Badly Poisoned effect, 3/3 uses left) and receives 60 gold. 99 + 60 = 159 "Many thanks and a good eve to you." As he turns to leave Anwyl, a crisp autumn breeze carriers a lazily swirling leaf in front of Hoke. His eyes trail the flight and see the leaf land against a bespoked wagon wheel. Elphaba! The autumn witch was once again in the Marketplace! Hoke jingled his recently filled coin pouch and headed over to the colorful wagon. "A fine eve to you lady Elphaba. Perhaps you can provide me a gem to enhance my abilities." The green witch's eyes narrow slightly as the corners of her black lips curl into a knowing grin. Hoke places 75 gold coins, 1 SKELETON DECOY (10 gold) and 3 BONES (5 gold) on the wagon's counter and receives a DIAMONd. 159 - 75 = 84 "Many thanks my lady. May your time here be spent well and in good company" Hoke checks the contents of his coin pouch and sees he almost has enough for another gem. It's been too long. Thanks for the welcome back. I hope I make the cut and that my absence (lack of gained levels) won't hurt my chances.
