Personally I really dislike the new Jolly Roger bicorne hats...and I think most agree the governor style hats or even the plain black ones look far better. Eg. on Bricklink the Governor's bicorne is up to 15 x more expensive then the Jolly Roger variation, and even the plain black one usually costs twice the amount! This must say something (except for the fact the Jolly Roger bicorne was probably produced a lot more then both other bicorne hats).

Yeah, we need them back again...and it actually looks very good, considering the succes of the new Pirates line! This might inspire and/or convince them to bring back the Armada, the bluecoats or even the Islanders! I am looking forward to them! Hurray for the Celts! (I am of the same decent, considering I live in the land of Ambiorix!) PS: from now on, I seem to visualize Mr. Phes with blue stripes on his face yelling: FREEEDOOOMM !!! , with me running next to him.

Entry 4 Wow, nice entries men! I really wonder to who they might belong! I love the second one, the orange/reddish spaceship! And its detachable! The mini-robots and such... BUT my vote goes to number four! That beautiful luxury ship! The sails are awesome, the minifigs are abundant and funny (I even recognize some of them.) Sinner and his girlfriend sure like lying in the sun a lot it seems!

I think Phred is right about the cannons. I think they are a bit oversized too, even for my napoleonic armies which only had up to 12pound guns (except for the howitzers which were definatly heavier). Especcialy the gun barrels are way too big. But back to the ship: you have done an outstanding job HMS243, especcialy the Cabin and commanddeck look very nice IMO, I look forward to seeing the completed version!

Wow, great find! I believe Big Daddy is also a member of Eurobricks, maybe he can tell us a bit more about it! I love the desk and weapons rack underneath the cannon post, and the bluecoats just rock! I urgently need to buy some of those windows as well...

Yes, so do I and as you can see at Mister Phes' Avatar/sigfig, he likes them a lot too! I also collect those beautiful chrome chestplates the Captains wear. I currently have 14 of them, and I use them for my French Army: Cuirassiers and Carabiniers.

I read it, and I think it is a really good representation of the (Classic) Pirates theme. I am also really curious to find out how you guys think of the Armada theme, personnaly I miss it a lot. Yes, in Belgium it already appears in some online stores, although it can't be ordered yet. It has been confirmed by many people that know as well. So let us hope they'll also release it in the USA and Australia (and the rest of the world of course).
