Lok24 replied to Pybricks's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
No. Low Battery? You have the programm in the editor window on code.pybricks.com, just edit and load and start with the ">" Botton If you turn the hub off it cannot blink anymore? -

There are already block based like https://bricklife.com/scratch-gui/ -

Number of spaces has to be the same in a block, but not equal for the complete program. "4" is just one of very many valid numbers You can change it via your IDE whatever you llike, if > 0. "4" ist often used as a standard. And use differnt number of spaces in different blocks. (which istn't really useful, but not "wrong") -
Pybricks Q&A

This indentation is the basic coding method of python, as there are no end/loop statements. They are - more or less - essential part of the code. -

Ah, thats different!. Look here: https://pybricks.com/projects/sets/technic/42131-cat-bulldozer/powered-up-remote/#program and scroll to the code-window, there's a blue "copy" button upper right the code, use this and then ctrl-v to insert in code.pybricks.com -

yes, it's a strange behaviour, code seems ok for me, sometime it connects, often it does not. -

Ah, never heard of that; where did you find it? -

With a pybricks program? Or just hub and LEGO RC? And how do you connect the RC with the Volvo? Is this a new FW which allows that? -
Each hub in the sets can only be conencted to one smart device at a time.
-
Yes, and that's why it might not be suitible for all MOCs.
-
That's what I proposed this morning.. But cars with less weight are pressed out the rails, that's my experience.
-
you can move the magntes between the two cars to the side or upside, that weakens the magnetic power . You should define the preliminaries..... The solution shown in my proof of concept and build and enhanced by Ts_ if suitible for every car. That was the requierement. If you have your own waggons only you can of course use special parts and constructions on the bottom or something like that, you don't even have to use magnets.....
-
Yes it is only of proof of concept for the mechanism to separate the waggons Have a look at Thomas (Ts_) marshalling hump, which uses this, but is fully automated.

I suppose 95% of the programs I ever wrote and sold(!) are VB or VBA. As you see the exception is caused by the "scanning" and "init", thats why the issue #38 should have been finished to avoid this. I cannot code C++, I have no working IDE, and I'm really tired of all the errors. But: end "off topic" here..
-
here is my decoupling unit: It's only a proof of concept, but was built by user Ts_and shown on exhibitions fully automated
-
There are problems with some "GURU exceptions" I never got fixed, program is unstable (obviously with newer versions) and issues (#38) aren't advanced, so I quit after selling some "Plag and play" ESP32s ready to play with my programs installed, sadly. But as I have no idea about C++ I couldn't go on developing my programs and features (like File-RW, Web Server, easy connect and so on)

Nope, it works with other programming tools for the Hub, i.E. Pybricks or BAP or others. It is just the City Hub, with the technic Hub it does work. It's not the Powered up App. Did anyone try the new version 3.8.0 released two days ago, if there is a new FW for the Hub??
-
Sure, I already showed a complete railway layout, level 1 for engines 1+2 , level 2 for all switches, signals, railroad crossing. There I used BAP, but for other projects I usesd an ESP with legoino, which should allow other input media too, especially build from other PU-Components, or Gamepad or more than one remote .......

Nice work! If you have hard stops at 0 and 180 you can stop the motor if it doesn't turn any more, that works fine. Have a look to my demo (with pybricks): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9TRjF-CTFBI And,of course, it's self-adjusting
