I sure hope not, I won't have a place for it in my budget for a while. It's likely gone due to the upcoming holidays.

Hmm... Technobot color scheme. The design a bit blocky, but very interesting use of some parts.

Thanks! I didn't even realize that we shared this particular tradition, but, as you said, we have a lot more in common than we were led to believe in the past. I've been to Bulgaria several times (Vidin, Vraca, Albena, Primorsko), and was always received warmly.

Hope I'm doing this right... this is the first time I've posted an image to these forums. Here's a little vignette from Serbian tradition - the burning of "Badnjak" (oak branch) on Christmas Eve (somewhat similar to the Yule log traditions elsewhere).

I bought the Coast Guard unimog and then sold it a few weeks later... it was beautiful, but just too damn big. Almost like a Model Team vehicle and not a City vehicle. The fire truck with boat is the same - not to scale with other city vehicles, and looks to be bigger than most buildings.

Nice review! I am ambivalent about the new fire station. I have the 2007 one, which is nicer in some ways and worse in others, and I'm going to get the modular house one, so I very much doubt I will get this one. Neither will connect well to a T-junction baseplate without modifications. All the huge <insert that tiresome argument> parts are a turn-off. I'm interested in the fire boat - are you going to do a review for it as well?

I'm not an Ambassador, but I can tell you the solution is quite simple. Go to lego.com > customer service > replacement parts. Fill out the form and add the needed part(s) to the cart (when you choose the set, you will be shown a list of all parts in that set, so you can choose what you need). Then choose Bulgaria from the list of countries, continue, fill in your details, and TLC will ship your part free of charge. It worked for me, and I'm from Serbia which is not even an EU country (yet), so I'm positive it'll work for you.

Wow, that's very nice for a "Basic" set - the cars are actually not at all bad. I may have to get it. As for the service station, I'm still torn on whether I should get the 2007 one, since I have the one in Town Plan.

Both versions look great! Two small nitpicks> It'd be nice to replicate the hood vents, but my MOCing skills are poor so I don't have any specific suggestions. I agree that the door handles are a bit too big, but I don't see how they could be improved (other than modding the door to just incorporate a black 1x1 plate in the construction).

7239 was the set that brought me out of my Dark Ages - so I'm not surprised it's still available. It's a fantastic set!

I would buy a dozen!

To expand on the zoo theme, I could see the following smaller sets as expansions: 1. Tropical Aviary (large birdcage with parrots in two colors and one or two brick-built birds); includes popcorn stand with seller 2. Polar Lake with two polar bears, some fish and observation deck; includes ice-cream stand with seller 3. African Grassland with zebra (repainted horse), buffalo (black cow with larger horns), and wild dogs (repainted dogs); includes small jeep with a tour guide in safari gear 4. Monkey Kingdom with brick-built trees, nets, car tires, several monkeys (in different colors), lots of bananas and other assorted fruits

I'm sure there are a lot of people here who own all the modern castle sets, but I'm wondering if someone's actually tried to combine them all into one (presumably) huge castle? The sets I've had in mind are: 7094 King's Castle Siege (as a base) 7029 Skeleton Ship Attack 7037 Tower Raid 7079 Drawbridge Defense As a bonus, I'm wondering if it would be possible to fit 10193 Medieval Market Village inside the walls of this castle, to recreate a true medieval "town."

A small hotel (classic style) could get away with the following: Using one 16x32 plate and one 16x16 plate Ground floor: lobby/reception in the middle (24 studs), elevator on the left side (6 studs), small cafe on the right (12 studs) 1st floor: elevator exit on the left (6 studs), 4 rooms (8 studs each) 2nd floor: elevator exit on the left (6 studs), 2 suites (16 studs each) Roof: air conditioning systems, solar panels Each room would be equipped with a shower, double bed, table, and TV set and have a balcony Suites would also include a kitchenette (fridge, microwave, tap) and a couch; one of the suites would also have a large balcony with hot tub on the roof of 1st floor Extras: taxi, street lights, suitcases, 1x1 tiles printed as keycards Minifigs: valet, receptionist, waiter, taxi driver, 3 guests It should be modular so that we could add multiple 1st floors. It should also be relatively easy to put two hotels back to back (built in a mirror image) to get a closed structure with more space. I think this set could cost about $80 or so and have about 600 pieces. Its appearance should be compatible with City Corner.

I really need to start buying the modular buildings. But I wanted the Medieval Market Square first...

7640 is not an existing set number. My guess is that the set was planned for this year, but canceled for one reason or another.

Exclusive Train 10194 Emerald Night (Exclusive 2009)
Sammael replied to der seb's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Looks genuine to me. The real question? How much will it cost. I don't own any of the older train sets and this looks like a good set to start my train collection.- 559 replies

Every time I try to answer a Nielsen poll, I get the stock answer that they've received all the answers they need and that my participation is not needed. I'm from Serbia, and, thus, have to choose "Other" on the poll. I tried with numerous sets I've purchased in the past, and it's the same every time. I just tried with 7631, which is a brand new set, so I very much doubt that they've had the time to collect a sufficient number of answers from "other" countries (it only got released here three days ago in a few select stores). Since the poll works if I select another country, the only conclusion I can draw is that Lego doesn't care at all what customers from non-listed countries think about their products. If so, it would be a lot more fair to include a disclaimer in the poll that lets you know that customers from non-listed countries are not eligible to participate.

Well, both the airport and the fire brigade are still widely available, it seems, but the last hospital was terrible and I really hope they come up with a new one. Ideally, the new hospital be the same size as the current police hq (or bigger), and incorporate the following: Ground floor: lobby/reception, pharmacy, garage, ER 1st floor: operating room, patient suites, doctor's office 2nd floor: administration I could personally do without yet another helipad and yet another rescue chopper... also, it would be nice to see an elevator inside the hospital. It would come with just one vehicle (ambulance) and about 7 minifigs (1 receptionist, 2 doctors, 1 paramedic, 1 nurse, 2 patients) with loads of utensils (no chainsaws, though... that was disturbing). I think this is doable for $100 (or less).
