Snow was already starting to accumulate around the buildings where the shadows kept the sun away. For any Mitgardian it was the perfect weather. Valanice had already started to adjust to the cold temperatures and walked around without even noticing the cold as the rest of the city residents did. Her sisters though, found themselves shivering a little and they relished every chance they got to step indoors whenever they could. They visited the village bakery where Nora always seemed to have a worried expression on her face. Valanice explained to her sisters that it was because she was always worried that her husband was going to burn the bread. They spent the most time at the jeweler gazing at his selection of fine gems. They also walked past the blacksmith shop where the cooper had been busy banding barrels but was currently re-shoeing a horse. The girls had just finished looking at all the wares the stall owners had to offer and were listening to one of the local minstrels playing for coins and chatting with each other in the square. Valanice had picked up some food to add to their dinner and had been tempted at the one of the stalls to buy a new shovel from the dwarf that ran the shop. It would help her as she worked in the small garden around their house. There had been a lot of bustle amongst the dwarves of Dalig Ulv these days. Not only were they concerned about the recent deaths of their kind, but Valanice had also heard rumor that word had come from their council with some big decision. They were often seen huddled together discussing in animated tones. Valanice was just about to suggest to her sisters that they head back when a startled cry caught her attention. She turned to see a woman standing over an older dwarf elder and muttering under her breath. Valanice hefted her axe and prepared to charge the woman when two more women stepped up to block her path and with a flick of their wrists everyone around them was pushed back a few feet. All of a sudden four warriors rushed in to attack the three women. A half-dozen different blades were all rushing toward the nefarious women when Edea stopped focusing on the dwarf and added her mutterings to her sisters. All four warriors flew back with a burst of power. Just then, Natolyth ran up. He had just made it back to Dalig Ulv after his journey to Cedrica. He stood between the three sisters and the rest of the townsfolk with fireballs smoldering in his hands. “It’s been a long time Edea, since you had me enslaved, and I will not allow you to do likewise to any of these good people!” growled Natolyth. “I see you have not put the powers I gave you to waste Natolyth” answered Edea. “It is too bad you are not still under my control. I could do great things with your power.” “Enough!” Natolyth shouted, “I thought you were finished back in the cathedral, but obviously I did not do a good enough job of it.” “Oh, you exacted your toll well enough” said Edea, pulling back her hood and revealing her white hair. “It cost me much to recover from your attack. But my fight is not with you this time.” Turning to her sisters she said, “We have what we need, it’s time for us to go.” And with that they vanished. Valanice ran up to Natolyth and said, “You’ve arrived back home just in time!” “So it would seem” he replied. “But what is going to happen next?” OoC: I'll be claiming some HSS credits in this build for Bakery, Cooper, Blacksmith, Jeweler, and Minstrel.
  2. I would just like to say that although someone has been playing around with my title, I am still on the Rebel's side!
  3. Thank you all! Now, can anyone point me in the direction of the princess handing out the award medals?

  5. Hang in there guys! We are still working on the scoring. I will let you know that it is really close!
  6. Thanks SK! I like having room for improvement. It means I have a other level to reach for as I work on future builds. Thanks Dan, I appreciate your feedback!
  7. I'm hoping it's just me, but I'm having a hard time keeping track of all of the dwarves in this story Can someone give me a run down on the leaders of Amortug and what part they are playing? In the 2nd part of this story two brothers were mentioned (one on the boat and then entering the tunnels early, and the other at Amortug). Who are they? And what part is the dwarf with the 1 eye playing? And I feel like I'm missing a piece of the story from after the Avalonian civil war ended. I know the plague was stopped, undead were taking over boats, and the Drow were being beat back; but how does that mesh with why the dwarves are attacking the Drow in Avalonia? Questions aside, I would like to sign up for the side of the Dwarves! As all I've been doing is killing them off in my storyline, it'll be nice to build something where they actually get to win
  8. Wow! Great details in the build, description of the mining process, and the story!
  9. Beautiful minifig combos! Your amphitheater has the perfect curve to it also!
  10. Well, I'm going to be re-using that same idea for the LOTR contest whenever I can get around to building it bigger. Yes, but my wife didn't. So that decided it for me That's high praise! Thank you!
  11. Amazing! I love the color choices you've made. Your characters are great too!
  12. Oh, my, goodness! This is gorgeous! I love the texture of the bridge and your story is great! Can't wait to see more!
  13. I really like your "shrine"! The micro figs around the minifig are both cool and creepy at the same time.
  14. Thank you for all your detailed feedback! I've made some changes, hopefully they'll help with some of the problems you listed. Thanks guys! I didn't want to use the same old round studs for the water. But now I've made some changes to combine the wedge plate look and the studs look. Hopefully it'll improve the look. And I've added a better base and improved the ground on the forest. I hope you like all the changes. Thank you! Yes, the every present grin can be difficult to explain. But that's Lego for you Those seem to be the favorites! I've changed the background now. Let me know what you think! Thanks Jorrith!
  15. As far as I know the rule about who can build on which planets is still being discussed and is not being enforced while it is in question.
  16. My advice to you is let the bad feelings go. Bricks can be rebuilt. Wives take a lot longer, and they are worth far more.
  17. My last entry in SK and I's collab: Traveling Partners
  18. See the previous parts of the story: Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 After the incident in Teridyan, Wyndor and Glorfindel headed back towards Valholl. They walked through the hospitable landscape of Mitgardia. They walked past refreshing rivers. They helped those they found that could not help themselves. They faced some fearsome beasts... and handled them each in his own way. And soon found themselves nearing Valholl. Thank you to SK for starting this collab. It's been a lot of fun. I look forward to the conclusion! I wanted to try something a little different for this post. The smaller builds gave me some freedom to try some different ideas. This was also my first attempt at using colored backgrounds. Let me know what you think. Edit: I've listened to the feedback and made some changes and took some new pictures. The old pictures are in the spoiler.
  19. That large tree is amazing! Any way to get a "how-to-build" pic?
  20. Great use of bright colors! I think this captures the feel of Kaliphlin very well. I really like your snot floor too. Beautiful all around!
  21. My intention was for the tower to house the staircase leading between the 2 floors. I thought about windows, but with the size of the tower, the limitations of Lego's window piece selection to fit a 2x1 base, and the fact that sweeping snow off of a spiral staircase meant that I left them off. Thanks for the feedback! Thank you very much Sir Gareth! I'm glad you like them! Thank you for your detailed feedback. Piece limitation is becoming less and less of a problem. Though, the bigger I build the more often it comes up I'm glad you like the rockwork! I think you're the first to mention it!
  22. Well here is a little teaser of something I have coming soon:
  23. Trust me, I don't think there will be any complaints, as long as you are posting builds
  24. Yeah! Yellow Supremacists all the way!
