  1. You'd be welcome to join the game later. You can also just enter builds without main characters if you want. Anything to help boost your team.
  2. I don't see the appeal to the Logo set. If Lego had started a brick-built logo line with classic favorites like Johnny Thunder, Rock Raiders and others and made the Star Wars one based on the original box-art logo I think people would be all over it. But just the words "Star Wars" in the SW font is definitely going to be a shelf warmer.
  3. Seeing as characters from Andor that continue on to Rogue One all die your options may be limited But hey, if they can bring back Maul, Ventress, Palpatine, and others I don't see why we can't write a story where Andor survives. It's all in how you spin the tail Bringing your characters over from 1.0 is totally fine and actually encouraged. So no need to re-enlist unless you want to change teams. As for twisting lore, it'll help me if you give me a heads up if you're using major EU characters as I plan for them to be part of the regular Episode schedule. I know you're not a fan of much of the EU material. Just know we're using it as a guideline but aren't beholden to it. And concerning Grievous, since we see him die on screen that's another tough one. But hey, he was mostly machine anyway right? Maybe they bringing him back. If you can write a good story, it'll fit! All that said about Andor and Grievous, it will be wise to keep violations of canon and timelines to a minimum. There can be exceptions, but we're aiming for more consistency than the EU before the Vong war
  4. Quick update that everything through Nov 24 has been scored. I'm working on the May the 4th contest right now, so the launch of 2.0 may get delayed 1 week but will still be before Andor Season 2. And for judging, 2.0 will have a weekly score drop so all scores will be given on Mondays in the future.
  5. Absolutely fantastic update to a great set.
  6. @Renown is right. I've been noticing a resurgence in people turning to forums instead of Instagram/TikTok and whatever else the youngsters are using today. The forum format is just built to last longer.
  7. We've got real leaks to discuss now. Let's get the discussion back on track please.
  8. Wow, I expected some interesting discussion on April 1st, but a debate about Maria Lucas and yes-men on set was not on my list. It's very off topic. It's a great discussion, but it needs its own topic.
  9. PSA, tomorrow is April Fool's Day. We might get legit leaks again, but more likely than not we will need to take any info as probable jokes.
  10. That's a great MOC. If you upload the photo to Flickr or Bricksafe (both free) you can post the link here and it'll auto-embed allowing us to see the photo without having to click the link.
  11. I've removed your email address from you post. It's better to ask them to PM you and then you can give your email address privately.
  12. I can understand feeling like the work isn't worth the points, but if you don't post it you get nothing And I've noticed a huge improvement in your rendering. That used to be one of the things holding you back. I think you most recent posts would receive a lot more points. I have promoted Mysteries at shows before. Since moving to France I haven't had the chance to do any shows. But I will continue to promote as much as I can wherever I can.
  13. @Jody Meyer 5 ABY is just the launching point. It'll allow for better direction with Episode challenges. For recruitment I have a number of ideas that I'll start once 2.0 kicks off. And of course word-of-mouth is the best method. As for your digital builds, you share a lot of really cool ones I've never seen submitted as entries. Sometimes they may not earn as many points as physical builds, but I like them and they are certainly welcome in the game for as long as you want to make them.
  14. These are great questions! 2.0 is going to start in 5 ABY, but we'll be progressing along the timeline a lot more quickly than before. In 5 ABY the Empire (Dark Side) had control of Coruscant. So to answer your questions, 1) for story purposes I gave Coruscant to the DS as they had points in L9. The Light Side also had points in L9 so they have Chandrilla which also ties in with storytelling. The DS will start with 50 points, so it wouldn't be hard for the LS to take control. And we'll have an episode revolving around Coruscant pretty early on which will give even the Mercs the chance to earn points there. 2) We'll be set right after the battle of Endor and will have episode challenges focused on EU events in the years following. 3) You can build on any planet your team owns, in any grid where your team owns a planet, in any adjacent grid to grids your team owns, or any any planet along a hyperspace lane your team has access too. That'll give you plenty of reach into the Unknown Regions. Keep the questions coming! If others don't like the idea of the DS controlling Coruscant we can certainly change that before we start. But those are the reasons I gave it to them to start with.
  15. Alright, taking into account the points scored by each team, which grids they were earned in, and some rounding this is the proposed start for 2.0. Light Side will start with 19 planets, Dark Side with 15, and Mercs with 12. 2.0 will change from a simple grid map to the old planets and hyperspace routes we had in Factions. So within the grid coordinates teams had claimed I picked planets that gave good hyperspace access. If you see any errors or have suggestions before we make this final please let me know. (Please note that L9 and M11 each have DS and LS planets claimed. But the overlay makes them look orange. We might need to change the Merc color to yellow) And here's the map with just the planets marked in their team colors:
  16. Hey all, I've been busy building the sheets and rule updates for 2.0. We should be ready to launch before Andor season 2 drops. In preparation I'm going to ask that you hold off on posting any more MOCs till 2.0 starts. I'll be sharing the 2.0 map soon to give you all a chance to weigh in and offer changes before we make it official.
  17. This is a great build. Your center platform is nicely round, the pipe going into the back wall looks good, and just overall it has a great aesthetic.
  18. Those stairs are top. The orange and red combo on the first picture hurt my eyes But when you see the MOC as a whole it looks good.
  19. In this case "leaked" is nebulous. As the original photo was dropped by an official site it would technically be allowed. But since Lego has removed it and there has been no official announcement it's better to play it safe and not re-post it here. How you handled it, buy removing the photo part that could potentially make Lego angry with us, was great.
  20. Thank you for removing the leaked photo part of that post before sharing.
  21. Oof. I was ready for 250, but 270 is ridiculous. If the GWP is amazing I will still buy it day 1, but only to get the GWP. Otherwise I'm waiting for a sale. The other newer LOTR sets have both had great PPP. Why go and break perfection Lego?
