"The only one not covered is the Hex Impaler. Might as well put it under," Mortimer suggests.
-
Mortimer clicks his teeth, staring at the enemy in front of him. "Giant ugly bastard. Drink up, Dragon," he mutters, using a Mead on Alatreon. Alatreon the Blazing Tentacle from the back row. Punii uses his Nostrum on Alatreon from the back row. Erdathcath attacks the Prismatic Impaler from the back row. Battle Order: Mortimer uses a Mead on Alatreon from the Back Row. Better yet, put the damn thing to sleep, however the hell that works! Boomingham, Johon, find a target you can hurt! Jeaux, try to bring out that big-megablocks summon of yours. We could use the damn thing. Erdathcath, wreck the damn Impaler with your handcannon. Damn thing looks annoying as hell." OOC: If I remember correctly, didn't Boomingham heal himself and Erdy?
-
Mortimer snorts. "Careful, yes-- but it will die the same as everything else."
-
Same! I love seeing well-designed battles, so I'm hoping the new Fields gives me something good to study.
-
It's not the QM that's the "problem," it's all the players-- plus the battles themselves are harder, meaning they're most likely either more dangerous or more... sponge-y. Unless you've got a super overpowered Fields team, you're not going to be breezing through 23 battles that quickly, or very quickly at all. Really looking forward to seeing the new FoG, though, if I haven't mentioned that yet.
-
Em Quest 2.0 is almost completely planned. After we get some sets done, it'll be put into the Hall-- shouldn't be more than a month. Can't wait to start QMing it!
-
You can only sign up from the Hall. You can only be on one Quest at a time. The Fields are almost always up; you won't miss your chance, you'll just have to wait until the party currently in the Fields decides to quit, which usually isn't too terribly overlong.
-
That awkward moment where you make a dumb mistake and smoothly roleplay your way out of looking like a huge idiot.
-
Mortimer furrows his brow, slightly startled by his inability to tell Seerus and the Oculoid chief apart at that great a distance. He grinds his teeth. "Tch," he mutters, tightening his grip on his bow. "You'll die either way."
-
Mortimer's stance slacks and he squints at the Oculoid chief. Purple eye. Black body. It was... far away, wasn't it? Then... It had to have been Seerus. He frowns, glancing over at the party. "That's not Seerus?"
-
"Can't say I care," the warden replies, bow still pointed at Seerus. He knocks another arrow. "If it's anything to do with you, the damn thing should be an easy kill."
-
One of these days, I really need to be back at the Hall in time for a Sandy quest.
-
"Spare us the idle talk, worm," Mortimer spits, swiftly drawing his bow in one fluid motion and firing an arrow at the oculoid leader.
-
"If we can't free Alatreon, we move on. He's an invaluable ally, though," Mortimer replies. "Masson, do you think you can break his chains?"
-
"Stupid bastard," Mortimer mutters, carefully, oh so carefully making his way over to the parasite. He fires an arrow at it for good measure, crouching down next to it if it doesn't seem alive.
-
No, it's not; not without proper permission, anyways. If you want to host a quest, plan it out, and then ask around and someone will most likely build your sets for you if they have the time. That's what I've been doing; Waterbrick Down built the sets for my first quest, and Pyrovisionary will be building them for my second quest unless someone else volunteers.
-
"Better him than you," Mortimer spits, staring Masson down. "Though it's not hesitation. Fear, perhaps? Oh. Hmm... Perhaps it's the stench of humanity?"
-
Mortimer frowns at Masson, teeth grinding. "Paradise. Quiet world. Yeah. Hell of a thing to want," he mutters. "I told you, though, that I was a... fan of chaos, was it? This world is trash. Rotten to the core. Terrible. But there's beauty in life-- beauty only realized when compared to trash-- compared to the stark contrast that is this world. The Regret's better world ideal can piss right off, and so can you-- though is that... hesitation I smell? I didn't think you were the type."
-
"Not... quite," Mortimer replies quietly. "Though I've... never seen a dragon." Looking up at the beast that was no doubt still magnificent, Mortimer's frown deepens. "Can we not free you? If you're willing to snack on Oculoids, I'd do anything to break your bonds."
-
Mortimer's jaw drops, and he gazes upon the dragon with a look of wonder. "You... I... A dragon?" His knees shaking, barely able to maintain upright, he reaches out a hand towards the great beast, though maintains his distance. "A dragon? Can... we help you?"
-
"Good work, Jeaux," Mortimer nods. "Let's go."
