"Yes, let's move on."
-
"Not all are suited for battle," Mortimer nods, frowning slightly. "You haven't long, though? Should we start moving, then?"
-
"Labyrinth. I see." Mortimer sighs. "You can... help us, though? Are you going to tag along, or...?"
-
Sounds like hardcore Ethereal bait to me.
-
"Care to explain yourself?" Mortimer asks, glancing around.
-
Sounds like a good time.
-
"Here to aid us on our quest?" Mortimer asks quickly, nodding.
-
Mortimer uses one of the magnifying glasses on the spirit. "Everyone okay?"
-
If you're waiting for a while, I'll take you on my next quest and you can have hellish balancing to look forward to again. In fact, now that I've learned my lesson, that might be.... amusing.
-
"Words hurt, Punii, but the Regret has to die before we lick our wounds," Mortimer mutters to his tiny friend.
-
Mortimer nods. "I agree. We should explore before teleporting, though... Hm. Marcus, you're welcome amongst our group."

My second Quest is almost done the planning stages; I'm currently looking for a builder interested in helping me do the sets for it! PM me if you'd like details or are interested; this one's going to be a little bigger than Dreamscape (and a bit more ambitious of a quest).

"How many times can one use such a scroll?" Mortimer asks, his curiosity piqued. "Hmm. I don't suppose you can rest on my Bedroll for ether? If you can't: Punii, give him your Ether Core."

I know you weren't complaining; poor choice of words on my part, I apologize. Though honestly if you want to use a scythe for a character, you can make your weapon something along the lines of: "Scythe (WP:?, (Insert weapon that suits your class here)." Meaning you can call it a scythe, and for roleplay purposes and whatnot it'll be a scythe, but as far as the game and anything else is concerned, it's not a scythe. For clerics, that would look something like "Scythe (WP:3, Hammer)." It's bending the rules a little bit, but as far as I'm concerned it doesn't hurt anybody. Of course, I could very well be wrong and perhaps you can't do that, but hey. I think I'm entitled to a mistake or two. I must say, though, I think it's good that the new players coming in are questioning the rules-- every once in a while, it's good to have someone give feedback and question longstanding tradition in the search for improvement. I think the rules right now are mostly great, but perhaps a new point of view can point things out that we missed or overlooked, and in their own way influence the game. I think everyone's feedback is not only welcome, but important, be that positive feedback or constructive criticism.

Clerics have a variety of weapons at their disposal; making another type accessible to them isn't going to help the cause any. If you want a Cleric with an "offensive weapon," a hammer is honestly the same thing as a scythe as far as the game is concerned-- If you're having trouble finding a weapon, it's not the rules' fault, but the fault of QMs. (Not pointing fingers-- drops are hard, and making a good variety is even harder. I learned that after 109) The rules have been around for a while now and I don't think I've ever seen many complaints about the weapons. I think they're fair; most other players do as well. You guys'll find good stuff eventually, just give it time. This game isn't a rush to see who's the strongest and how quick they can get there. Enjoy the journey.

Mortimer shakes his head, glancing at the rest of the party with a wide sweep of his head. "Anyone?"
-
"...Is it possible you could teleport us there?" Mortimer asks, slightly hesitant.
-
Mortimer sighs. "If that is your wish," he shrugs. "Where is this room? Do you know?"
-
"Fiend I may be, but perhaps you ought to turn before telling us to begone," Mortimer replies. "Who are you?"
-
"Bloodlust," Mortimer mutters, glancing right. "Bloodlust is... strong." Reaching a hand towards his empty socket, Mortimer grimaces. "I think I understand her." "Let's head right."
-
"And if we attack now, what's to say he won't weaken us? What's to say he won't kill us? We still have no idea how to fight him!" Mortimer rebukes, voice tense. "We're already down a man. I'd like to get him back before kicking this giant crab to the goddamn gates." Frowning, teeth clenched, Mortimer exhales. "Besides, he's using Masson as a shield right now. I could shoot if I had to, but I don't. I don't want his blood on my hands like that."
-
"And what if it ends poorly?" Mortimer spits, glancing at what was once Masson. "I'm not looking to get anyone killed. He'll get what's coming to him, whether he's ready for it or not." Taking another step back, the warden tries to reassure the others. "He'll get what's coming to him."
-
"We''re not ready for him either, Jeaux. We're outgunned." Em mutters, keeping his bow leveled at the Regret.
-
"Quiet. Let's move on." Backing away from the Regret, Mortimer's frown deepens. "We can hate eachother later. Piss off, Regret. You've stirred the flames enough."
