  1. "No sense sending more than one person through. Those things are nauseating." Mortimer rubs his neck, growing more tense. "I can do it. If you guys think rubbing away the mortar will work, I'll go do that and you should be able to break your way through."
  2. Mortimer shakes his head, frowning. "Something like taking the line of mortar off where they were laying the bricks? ...I don't know."
  3. Mortimer raises his eyebrows. "This stuff is above me, but... am I to assume we need to travel back in time to break through these walls by killing the working oculoids or by tearing down the walls themselves?"
  4. Mortimer checks the bookshelf to see what he can find.
  5. Yeah, that's what I was trying to say. That's why I like the idea that it only affects the one target; most of the other debuffs for the classes only affect the one target anyways with the 3/4 rolls. Idk.
  6. I feel like if we ran with that, Mist rolls could really end up hurting the entire party, especially if rolled at a bad time. If you wanted to have a risk/reward dynamic, you could make the mist envelop the enemy and all heroes targeting that enemy, but that could probably get complicated fast. I like it better with just the target, but I think it's got pros and cons either way.
  7. Yeah, but I figured Mist would be a more all-around kind of thing if you didn't want to induce weather for some reason or another. Mist would only effect one target instead of the whole battlefield. It would also work on more than one element, unlike the weather, which only boosts a certain type.
  8. Could you maybe have Mist increase the elemental modifier? Say, for example, elemental attacks that that enemy is weak to do x3 or x4 damage instead of x2?
  9. How does Mist interact with Ethereal enemies? Does it make them weak/susceptible to the elements?
  10. Mortimer takes a deep breath. "Forward seems our only option," he mutters, reaching towards the time bulb. "It's probably a trap," he adds with a shrug.
  11. Mortimer carefully steps onto the platform, leading the party forward. "Let's go," he mutters, still a little nervous about the slip into the past.
  12. "That... would be bad," Mortimer nods in thanks, glancing around the cavern.
  13. Mortimer staggers for a second, disoriented. "Everyone okay?" he asks, making his way towards the railing.
  14. OOC: No problem; wasn't quite sure what we were waiting on to proceed so I figured I'd try to kick things off.
  15. Mortimer walks up to the strange green portal, reaching out towards it. "Get the lovebirds back here. ...Someone has to go in first to make sure it's not a trap," he mutters, pressing his hand against the green anomaly. "Let's... go, then."
  16. Mortimer grinds his teeth, sighing heavily through his nose. "Alright. I'll drop it. If you stand by your decision, I'll drop it."
  17. "I don't even know what choices you were given, Johon," Mortimer barks, scowling at his companion. "If you want us to understand, explain yourself. Did you have to choose between a Love Potion and a Sadness Potion? Why even give her anything?"
  18. Mortimer shakes his head, grimacing. "You call that functional? She's--" Cutting himself off with a sigh, he starts to search the place, looking for anything noteworthy. "I'm not blaming you. I've no idea what your options were. At least we're all alive," he adds, glancing momentarily at Alice from the corner of his eye.
  19. Mortimer remains silent for a moment before turning to his small friend. "I don't know, Punii. I don't know what her objective was. I don't know what happened." He hazards a small glance at Johon. "I don't know if it was her failure to begin with."
  20. "Tch," Mortimer clicks. He picks up the next book. "When are those damn lovebirds getting back?"
  21. "I've never been a fan of reading," Mortimer mutters, glancing at the curious green object as he scans the pages of the tome. "Stories have always been better when passed by mouth."
  22. Mortimer picks up a second book, rifling through this one like the first.
  23. I've run it as curing for an instance of Bleeding as well.
  24. Just going to reiterate in here that I'm looking for someone willing to build sets for my quest! PM me if you'd like some details. Thanks!
  25. The "Builder" position for my next quest is now open! Step right up, come one, come all, build some sets for Emjajoas! On a serious note, I need someone willing to build sets for my next Quest to help bring it to life. It's been pitched and it's passed, all I need is a builder and some sets. I'd really appreciate it if someone could help with that. Let me know if anyone is interested, and I can PM you the info! If more than one person would like to build sets, I can divvie them up between a group! Just let me know. Thanks!
