The cloaked figure glances between the heroes, caught off guard by their verbal onslaught. He raises his chin slightly, setting his jaw. "Overwatch?" he asks skeptically. "Are you-- You're not planning on taking them down, are you?" He pauses for a moment, again glancing between the heroes. "I'm Marcellus. My task is to find some missing men. The Ironwill hired me; if you're investigating bodies, I've some questions for you. How many have you seen? What did they look like? Where did you find them? If the bodies you're investigating and the people I'm looking for are the same, then that's troubling news." The black-clad figure slowly sheathes his sword, completely silent, eyes darting between the heroes. He doesn't move otherwise, a black statue standing vigil. The shaking citizen, however, can't seem to regain his cool. He keeps shaking, now even more afraid-- not only had he been attacked, but he might've landed in a more dangerous situation than before. Slowly he speaks up, voice wavering. "I-I'm afraid I don't know anything about the bodies," he stammers. "I'm just a cook. If you're looking to get information on the Overwatch, you should try the Smithy. They're always getting stuff from there."

Nerwen's tune gives the party to strength to act twice, allowing Hoke to not only get a good hit off on Thug A, but to also upgrade his shield. Alexander smashes Thug B for a good chunk of damage as well before jumping in front of the party with his shield raised in order to defend them during the next round. Dyric, despite having the die for it, does not seem to have luck on his side, and gets smacked a few times by Thug D. Guts soars in next, striking Thug C and Thug D while mixing up a Bad Breath. Barus chips in afterwards, smashing the poor thug A and making him bleed. Thug D decides to retaliate and slashes at Nerwen. Round Two of the First Battle: "O-ow!" Em places Stone Golem (Rock 8), tying the round and feeling slightly accomplished. He then puts down his last card, Sahuagin (Aquatic 5). Letting out a little laugh, Em shakes his head. "Can't say I expected it to go any other way," he mutters. -
The startled civilian quickly turns to Dyric, hands, knees, and voice shaking. "I was j-just attacked," he manages. "T-t-they said they want my m-money." "More trouble?" the redheaded thugs asks, brandishing his blades and turning to the heroes. "They don't seem too much of a threat." "Hrk! We cut them down too!" Next to the civilian, the red-cloaked figure speaks up, turning to the heroes. "Although I don't doubt my guards abilities, you could help him." The black-clad guard in question had his blade crossed with the halberd-toting thug, barely making any form of noise aside from muffled breathing emerging from his helmet. He furiously swipes and strikes at his opponent, forcing her to stay out of his range.

"The only thing close to a gang rivalry is--" A shrill scream pierces the air from outside the tavern. Garrett sighs, but the heroes, true to their instincts, rush outside. Once there, the heroes find themselves in a dangerous situation. Five individuals brandishing weapons are all focused on one unarmed man-- until a heavily-armoured warrior and a cloaked figure rush in to save the civilian. The five thugs quickly turn their attention to the black-armoured man. Would the heroes rush to his aid?

Host a plethora of quests, not completely fail with the one I'm hosting now, get slightly better at LDD so all my sets aren't completely terrible.... The usual. Also fix the problems and inconsistencies I have with my current character and, failing that, make a second character.
