EDIT: Whoops, I spelled "Fabulous" wrong, could an admin fix it? Thankee. The flickr set, with 4 pics. Editing the pics were a paaain. But backstory is the fact that I love Steampunk and hadn't built a Steampunk MOC. So I broke out all the brown system I had, which was mostly from a garage sale. ._. Wanted to use those propellers into something like a podracer, but didn't have another 3x3 dish, and that looked too good to pass. A Bionicle Ball joint allows rotation for the lower propeller. Comments, criticism, and marriage requests are all accepted. [-TA-]

Review: 7590 Toy Story Woody and Buzz to the Rescue
The Alchemyst replied to Pugsly's topic in LEGO Licensed
And with the lovely printed pieces and the fantastic new molds [Can't wait to see what someone does with a bunch of bricklink'd Buzz Wings :P] I get why the set is $20. It's a bit overpriced for me though, even though this is my all-time favorite Disney movie, I don't think I'll be getting this; the other sets with better prices and figs could be better deals. Thanks for the reviews!! Could we see a clear picture of Buzz's torso? Once, again, thanks! [-TA-] -
Holy. That's amazing. I love how the castle/fortress/portal/temple/whatever guards itself by making the statues come to life. And it fits the gray of the Shark-fig. I want more pics like that. o.o [-TA-]

Well, duh, I know that. But three? [-TA-]

Is this what you were talking about a couple months back [i think it was you] about using Orange Mahritoran blades, because they're dirt cheap on BL? :P Anyway this MOC is well built. The gap is a little nuisance, but it's fine. I really like the cartoonish look and the use of flextubes, in both the "spine" and the beak. It's a silly crazy MOC, that uses parts well. And nice pic and editing. So cleeean. [-TA-]

Anyone think Psionics to be... imbalanced in a sense? o.o Literally 3 Kanohi powers right then and there, as well as memory manipulation, and it seems that isn't the end. But it's awesome to get another female-only power. [-TA-]

Latest updates on LEGO set sales
The Alchemyst replied to gylman's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Thank you. I should have checked slickdeals, but wow. Thunder Driller for $19! 37% off; better than what I expect the S@H clearance to be in a month [33% most likely] Definitely was looking to pick that set up. If the $20 set is on sale, I'll pick it up too. Thanks for the tip-off The Green Brick Giant. I hope it's more than ~10% though. Even better if they have any 2010 sets on sale, but I doubt it. Hopefully I can visit tomorrow. Thanks for the info again! [-TA-] -
But cross it with various city heroes and take out the women. We need more Jack Stone MOCs. Someone who specializes in it or something. That'd be hilarious. I do have one set, from a birthday, years back. They did have some nice, and fairly uncommon pieces. Of course they are sometimes a pain to use, but that's part of the fun in MOCing. Personally, I use the pieces from that set often in my MOCs though. Mostly since it had some nice yellow pieces. :P So how 'bout them 4+ Pirates? [-TA-]

A little hiccup on the name; it should be "Raid VPR". I definitely like this set, although the price count is awfully low. I'm having a hard time figuring out whether this or the other new SPIII set, or one of the older ones on Clearance is a better buy. I definitely love the Blacktron torso. I remember prelims having it... scratched out and faded? I think? But I do like that it's not; it's Neo-Blacktron. [-TA-]

Great job with the graphics EB Calendar team! It looks better with the Dark Blue Winter Background too. :P Congrats to the first three winners. And a big thanks to CopMike, that's such a heavy load for one person. D: [-TA-]

Good pics. It needed a Recolored Rahkshi head, removable spines [Why not use those spikes on the SPIII Sets?], and a recolored back. The "cut" in the head looks nifty though. Not getting it for that kind of price though. [-TA-]

No offense to Shaddow, the MOC is fine, but god no. That'd be a terrible set. Something majestic with new pieces. And no silly action features to drive up the price. [-TA-] -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures General Discussion
The Alchemyst replied to Nabii's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Wait, has it been confirmed that it's just random parts from some of the 16 in each bag? All I've seen is one user just say it could be. To me, that sounds like a really silly marketing move. [-TA-] -

LEGO Collectable Minifigures General Discussion

Depending on the price, I'll definitely try to grab them all. Or at least my favorites, if I can just feel the molds in the polybags. I certainly hope they aren't the sort of "cheap" figs in the Battle Packs and such. =/ What'd be really nice, and smart, is if these weren't identifiable in their packaging, [so, say a cardboard box, like the mask packs for all those who know Bionicle], and maybe even two figs in a box or something like that for like $5USD And there were "rarer" figs, so collectors would have to buy multiples to get them I'm in love with the new hair pieces. Definitely want to grab a nurse, the kid, and a zombie; that suit is amazing. I do hope each of them has a couple accessories or so. [-TA-] -
What made each of the Piraka unique, in terms of personality? They seem awfully similar to me. Toa have generic personalities for sure; over half the time you could sub in another Toa in quotes and it would sound okay. =/\ Villains from 01-05 were parts of larger groups so there was no personality. 2007-8 had a fairly mixed traits, and personalities with the Makuta and Barraki which I liked. 2009 was Hive mind all over again. And all opinions on whether whatever is "good" or "bad" or "like it" is all subjective. I don't think Algernon is arguing to stay on Mata Nui for 10 years; that basically is the opposite since the mystery would be lost by then, am I right? Keeping the mystery by adding things, yet not explaining them seems to be what he's arguing for; while since 2004 or so it's been adding things as a backstory; then resolving the minor conflicts in that year. Bara Magna could have done well with that; a new world, no explanation, but we got all that resolved, a connection to the explained old world and mysteries all gone by the end of the year. =S [-TA-]

Black Friday 2009 discussion thread
The Alchemyst replied to Darth Legolas's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
People in line at Target with me said it was the full game; but the catch was that there was literally 25 copies. >.> Total, throughout the three systems. I'm getting the same messages from people online in other forums as well. Figures. ON had other promos like free MP3 players, but a very, very limited number. No Lego for me this BF; I'll wait til S@H Clearance soon. [-TA-] -
Lol, the A-word just gets filtered to Megablocks. :P Anyway, some of them would be nice... As long as we still get the snazzy figs. :3 [-TA-]

It'd be nice, but awfully hard to get it out, if there hasn't been any work on it. :s It'd take another couple years or so to get it out, if they start designing it and so forth now, looking at how far ahead the Designers/Story Team has been working a head. I'm up for it, as long as it's not a Toa-Mod. >.> [-TA-] -
Call me a pessimist, but the story could just go to the dogs from here on out. I'm fearing all fanon => canon, and with Greg's connection with BZP and the constant PMs of asking whether "______ is canon", it could turn out bad. Then again, although it could, doesn't mean it will. Bionicle has been a huge part in keeping Lego afloat, from what I know. A risky move, but I think it's time. Personally Bionicle had been my entire interest in Lego starting soon after it came out, until the last year or so. With the price hikes [look at 2010's sets. >.>], hopefully this reboot will be a real reboot. I'd like to see where Lego can branch off from all this. At least we'll still have the pieces to MOC with, as well as the story. [-TA-]

Just got 8060 at a Lego Store, they're stocking up on all the Lego Sets we've seen so far. It's pretty neat, I like all the red, and the function uses a nice fusion of Technic and System. Definitely have some uses for those propellers. And the figs. [-TA-]

Well I grabbed a set and made it Christmassy. Sucks as a MOC, but whatever, For the Raffle! Good luck to all. [-TA-]

Ain't this a great time to go visiting family, without any Lego? I'll see if I can grab a set and somehow make it Christmasy. >.> Or any hope of an extension to the 30th, CopMike? [-TA-]

Saw all the Stars minus Tahu at a Toys R Us somewhere in Tennessee. I don't think I'll be getting any time soon with a price like that. =/ Plus System will be eating up my money. >.> @ShaddowCroc: TRU is the only one seen with the '10 sets right now, and probably will be until mid December. They usually release sets early. [-TA-]

Yeah, a "Removing Pieces Help Topic" would be nice. Which reminds me: I'm having trouble removing a lightsaber blade from one of those 1x1 bricks with 4 stud holes all around. I got it through two of the holes, and now it won't come apart. =/ [-TA-]
