  1. This makes me happy. I'd rather get a little box crammed full than a giant box that is lonely and empty and sad.
  2. > John is the name of Master Chief and a bajillion other people > Flame Viper has nothing to do with anything as far as I know > ??? I'm considering ordering a Hero covered in purple spikes. I just can't decide what color armor I want. I'll probably give him a yellow and a blue arm armor piece like Evo/Surge so I can have matching pairs. Maybe a green arm armor piece om his torso to match Breez.
  3. I really like the torso for what you've done with so few pieces, but the legs are quite wimpy in comparison. If they were shorter, even, if not bulkier.
  4. > Look across the sea to see if there's more land close by.
  5. Ultievo is a very cumbersome name.
  6. They're sooooo cuuuuute. <3 Isn't Recon Team next month?
  7. Looking at those pics Aanchir posted, I can see several things I didn't notice before. Like: Rocka XL seems to exhibit a new bone piece on the bottom of his torso, where the legs connect. Kinda looks like that unreleased bone piece we saw in the designer videos a while back. Fangz has, like, five of those trans orange armor pieces, not just three! I am not diggin' Julius' new color scheme. White looked so much better with orange/green than the silver does. Blah. I'm kind of surprised to see that the piece on Witch Doctor's torso and Nex's arm is connected by socket. I kinda thought it was another pin connection piece. Not really a fan of Will's "wings." Stormer's helmet looks dorky to me, for whatever reason. I see Witch Doctor has red loose balls and red 3-long bone pieces. Interesting. I hope the balls with + through do not completely replace the black ones. Rocka XL definitely has some sort of waist articulation. I see a red ball in his torso, and some other things that point to that conclusion. I see now how Raw Jaw is built, and I quite like it.
  8. Small minifig tools like wrenches can also be used to attach the 2.0 helmets to the heads. They wiggle a bit, because you can only have it connect in one spot (the other is obstructed by the neck ball/socket), but it works.
  9. Rhotuka were fun, but they pretty much never went where you wanted them to go.
  10. I would believe the box more at this point. Rocka definitely looks like he had his head designed for the big set. It looks pretty terrible on the little guy. All the medium villains are posed oddly so... I'll just say they show promise. Bulk is the only MUST BUY Hero in terms of coolness. I'll probably get the other ones too, though, just because they're pretty nifty.
  11. I'm gonna ignore the builds on these guys because they have a track record of building things wrong at Toy Fair or just posing them terribly. Of note is that all the bone pieces that are five long are now grey. I wonder why? It's kinda strange.
  12. I laughed, mostly because Bulk scared me and laughing is a good coping mechanism.
  13. Power Rangers is a primarily boy oriented show and there's a pink character. OH SNAP But seriously, don't be hatin' pink. I'm not a huge fan of green and yet I don't rage every time Lego includes a green character in their wave. Pink is just a color, it's a pity so many people relate it to being "girly". (And what's so wrong with girly, anyway?) At least Lego isn't shying from purple so much anymore.
  14. Tahu and Vakama had pink eyes! And that's it. I'd still dig a pink hero. Special edition?
  15. When I got the first comic, I though Kopaka and Lewa were female and Gali was male. So yeah. I -do- wish we got more female characters, whether they looked it or no. Both in Hero Factory and Bionicle the female to male ratios were really bizarre, though they were helped some when Psionics and Lightning became female elements. With Hero Factory, though, I see no reason to connect colors to genders, so fingers crossed that Rocka is a female. Also I'm still holding out for a purple Hero. Why? Because of the Hero Cores. Stormer is white. Rocka has a white core. Surge is blue. Stormer has a blue core. Breez is lime. Surge has a lime core. Furno is red. Breez has a red core. Evo is yellow. Furno has a yellow core. NO ONE IS PURPLE?!?! So I'm hoping for amber, purple and mata green Heroes. =P (Stringer has an amber core, Evo has a purple core, Nex has a mata green core.)
  16. ... The 3.0 Heroes look like the 2.0 Heroes with different heads. Meh. At least Bulk, Rocka and Stringer will give us some new colors.
  17. I may be misremembering, but I thought Rocka had a mane.
  18. I know. <3 This gives me hope for future big sets.
  19. That red cat thing is sexy.
  20. Chibi Firelord is something I can get on board with. That's how the set should have been. Of course, then we wouldn't have the GLORIOUS PARTS PACK that is Firelord...
  21. We've had desert and ice themes before... Bara Magna, Ice Planet, Artic, Johnny Thunder (he did both), the new Pharaoh's Quest...
  22. As much as I would love that theme, I don't think it would test well with the target audience.
  23. Same plastic, it's the molds that are so epic... And the problem with purple wasn't just because of the plastic types. I have a lot of purple from a couple years ago (still this new shade) and some of the pieces vary in shade from cheese to cheese. They're better now, though.
  24. Let it be noted that I was mistaken earlier and the new pieces are truely invincible.
  25. Simple use included taking them off and snapping them back on a few times. Can't get a picture, but it's just a little crack on the outer rim of the socket. Both of them have crack on both sides of the sockets, in the exact same places. It's not really a big deal, they work fine, for now.
