Yeah, but if you read the books you find Jaller was practically useless in the Mahri saga. =P True, though, the Heroes don't typically have much to do with their elements.

I haven't been this excited for a new wave in many years. And since I am less excitable now, that is saying something. I'm only four sets shy of completing my Savage Planet collection... but I think I'll be skipping them now. Rocka, Breez, Thornraxx and Reapa are my favorites currently. All the other small and medium sets look great, too. Here's hoping they give the Glatorian heads and the Avtoran feet Reapa's using a new mold. I really appreciate Evo's new head, it looks like they put effort into it to make it look like his 2.0 helmet. I guess it's too late to hope Black Phantom gets a complete redesign. :( edit: woo count

Purple and bright green cladding makes me happy. Other than that, I'm not really interested at all.

Got this set a while back. I agree with your rating, though you didn't point out which parts you don't like. Personally, the main bit I don't like is the way his torso transitions to his head. That part just looks awful. No regrets though, he has a pretty cool design elsewhere and a marvelous assortment of parts for the price.

Thanks for the advice. I washed two loads, and it seemed to go off without a hitch, even on the rubber band I accidentally left on Thornatus. Except... All six of these I put in came out with a weird sort of splintery crack on the bit just in front of the top piston, towards the toes. All the same. None of them had it before and I'm noticing nothing similar on any of the other pieces. So beware, folks, and clean those by hand. Thanks again.

Hey Eurobricks folks, I live in a very humid environment with tons of dust blowing around (Hawaii). That means my Lego sets get dusty real quick, and soon after start sprouting mold. Yuck. So anyway I'm moving soon so I figure it's time to get these things clean... Cleaned a few by hand with a rag and a q-tip (fun times) but SERIOUSLY it's taking forever and there are only so many episodes of My Little Pony to keep my going. I guess my question is, has anyone tossed their Lego in the dishwasher and what was the result? I'd remove the rubbery pieces and mechanical pieces (like the Bionicle launchers - most of my sets are Bionicle) and I'm just cautious about throwing scalding water on my bricks. As a side question, I wonder how printed bricks fair? Besides dish-washing them, anyone else have ideas for mass-cleaning of dusty and moldy bricks? Thanks regardless.

I picked up a copy of all the HF3.0 sets (bar Scorpio) that I could find on-island - that is, Bulk, Stringer, Rocka XL and Witch Doctor. Gotta say I'm really disappointed. Stringer is good, Bulk is pretty okay, Aldous has terrible torso armor but I like the rest of him, and Rocka... bleeeeeh. He improves on Fire Lord in some ways but his stomach is lame and his arms seem to be almost worse than Fire Lord's. Stupidly hard to pose. Great parts all around, though. I don't regret my purchase. But all of them have been disassembled, put in bags and thrown in drawers until I need their parts for MOCs.

It looks like a pretty cool oldschool Bionicle build, but the photo is awful.

The recolors are nice, but... THIS is replacing Hero Factory? I will have to discreetly order them online and never assemble them.

It's a good likeness for using so few pieces, most of them 2.0, even.

I'd never liked it before, but I quite like it in these shots. If I have some extra cash I might get this guy, but not until I get Raw Jaw, Witch Doctor and Rocka XL.

I think Raw Jaw will be the first I pick up. He has some design quirks, but I still like him a lot and he's got some great parts.

Thanks for the review! I'm going to try to get the Grad, Woodcutter, Aerobics Instructor, Dwarf and Pharaoh Queen, I think. Of course, I'm going to have to go through Bricklink... no stores sell them in my area. Edit: What color are the Woodcutter's pants? Sand blue?

The new white cladding sizes are welcome, but largely this set doesn't interest me. I love the part where Von Nebula showed up. :P

Thanks for the review. Lots of nice yellow, but honestly, the head is a turn off for me. When you compare it to pretty much every other Hero Factory head it just doesn't look very good to me. That new socket piece, though, the one that attaches his second set of arms... very nice.

Yeah, after a quick B-link search I've realized it's still used in system sets a bit, because of the stud connection on the bottom. Still very strange that it's on Rocka, but I welcome any and all balls so I won't complain.

I'll definitely be getting this one. The parts are great and he looks pretty decent built. So many spikes... so many. Also he comes with a old fashioned ball like they used on the chests of some of the Toa Mata? I thought that part was... discontinued.

... Skrall is a she? By that I mean we were just hoping not ALL the characters in this wave were male, and Rocka is the only one that could have possibly been female.

I thought Raw Jaw looked good in all the Toyfair photos.

I'm planning to get Rocka XL, Witch Doctor, and Raw Jaw. And also whatever Hereos I feel like getting, probably all of them eventually. I'll start with Bulk and Stringer, I think, and then I'll get whatever one has colors I need most for whatever MOCs I'm working on. I might end up getting all the sets again. The only one I've been able to resist this wave is Nitroblast. :P
