Heroica RPG - Quest #146: Red is the Bloodiest Color
Kintobor replied to KotZ's topic in The Heroica Archive
OOC: Couple of questions. 1. What are the stats for the Chrysanthemum? 2. Can both our Ballistas and the enemies Ballistas hit targets besides the ships? 3. Are certain enemies using ranged attacks? -
"Yeah, that's not happening." Karie drinks from her bottle of wine. "I wouldn't be surprised if Ulfric was given a similar offer. He's got enough influence to be considered a faction in this city. We won't be stopping the flooding unless we can get to Billow and back, sir. You said a hole broke in the tunnel. Is there any way to stop the flooding?"
-
Karie considers extending a hand in greeting the two Proggs, but decides against it and simply curtsies. "Gents, the name's Karie. I've slain dragons, demons, and other nasty stuff, and I can vouch for most of my group. Mind telling me about this offer Immortalis has given you?"
-
I would maybe edge away from playing a recording of the man who placed the brain in the automaton, but if you want to RP that in Goliath's head, I see no issue with that. It's there for people who want to read it and it's there for character development. Just have Goliath recount the info to anyone who might be interested. Totally. Karie's last name was changed from Alderflask to Alderflask-Cour after her marriage. I don't see why not.

"I, um, don't know why we're firing stuff at the ship from this spot. Let's get onto the ship and meet them. Captain, permission to come aboard?" -
"Yeah, and honestly Immortalis forgot the kids in the sandbox are us... well, maybe not you. You seem a little complacent with his actions and all." Karie ponders. "Vind, how do you feel about borrowing some of my stuff? In particular my Spring Staff (WP: 12, healing someone else through this staff also heals the user by the same amount, water elemental staff) or perhaps my favourite sword in the, Sexy? (WP: 11, disregards SP, longsword)" Karie passes her rapier to the half-giant to inspect, although in his hands it'd probably look like a toothpick.

Read the directions on the bottle?

"No, it's fine Masson. The sentiment's appreciated though." Karie grimaced. "I paid good money for these blasted shoes..." "Broke? What'd you mean "the tunnel to Billow broke"?" Karie questions, sounding frustrated. "So was... that prick." Karie exposits, hoping to not offend the progg in front of her. She'd murder the Regret a second time in a heartbeat, and she'd do it to Immortalis. "These high and mighty guys are all about make examples of people and things. They look at the world as their sandbox and everyone as the other kids playing in it. Every now and then, this kid gets angry, and he vents it out on the other kids by wrecking their stuff in an effort to show it's his sandbox. All that's left though is a bunch of angry kids who really don't like the guy claiming to own the sandbox. That make sense?"
-
Karie groans as she hits the water. "Ugh... I hate getting wet... makes my make up run... makes my shoes all uncomfortable..." Karie pulls out her pocket mirror and begins to liberally reapply her face paint.

"Warlen!" Annie shouted. "Can you at least wait a minute so we can discuss a plan of action?" -

Catching up with the rest of the party, Annienal pulls out her telescope to assess the oncoming ship. "Don't run off on me like that, guys!" -
Heroica RPG - Expert Job Class Discussion

There was a cavalier class created awhile ago, one that I'm a little disappointed didn't get approved. Other than that there's also Dragoon. -

Annie shuddered at the cannon fire and looked behind her, pulling out her telescope in an attempt to scope out the scene. -
Finally sat down and watched Jaws. I'm super impressed with the film. This was a film that was relatively hyped up for me, and it for once didn't disappoint. I enjoyed that the film was more of a suspenseful drama than an actual horror movie, although it certainly managed to make me jump a few times... stupid head in the boat...

"I don't really understand the need for hostility. Nobody here's got their hands on their weapons, so I see no need to be aggressive. See, we're the group from Heroica that's trying to ensure the city stands her tomorrow morning, and we were informed that the Proggs were digging a tunnel to Billow. I believe the veterans had informed you guys about this beforehand?" Karie asks the Progg.
-
Karie stands up, hands in her pockets. She smiles. "Allons-y, Masson."
-
Karie's eyes fixate on the image presented in the glass before Masson's voice drags her back. "I'm sorry, but I'm not sure where you're going with this. I trust you. Why?" Karie replied. She looked confused and worried.
-
Karie nods her head, gripping her husband's hand in response, putting the bottle away. She notices the Empath Glass's warmth coming off, and examines it for the first time.
-
Karie coughs her way out of the burning building, covered in soot. She looks back at the building, emotions swelling up inside her. She grimaces, brushing herself off as she watches the last bits of the roof fall into the building. She stared at the building for a long time, biting her thumb. "I don't need your advice, captain obvious." Karie snarled. She gave Lind a dirty look before turning her back to him. Karie lazily looked at Vind. "What I do? Well... it's sort of what I do now, you know? I sing." Karie noticed the gash on Gabriel's back. "Hey, Vind, why don't you look at Gabe's back." Karie stated, seeming half out of it. She turned to Masson, not sure what to do. She trudged over to him, and sat beside him on the rim of the fountain. She pulls out the bottle of Falana Wine she snagged from Eschaton from her belongings. She takes the cork of the bottle and takes a swig, chugging it faster than she probably should, coughing after drinking. She offers the bottle to Masson.

"I, uh..." Annienal seems rather flustered by the line of questioning. "It's for, um, reasons." "I, um, thought she'd never leave." Annienal replies softly, lowering her helmet's visor as she did so. -
Karie nods at Arthur's suggestion in the confusion of the scene, not sure where everyone was but began playing a Rapid March anyway. "Just hold on, Gabriel, we'll have you out of there shortly! If things get too hectic with the fire let me know, I have a ditty I can start to stop the burning." Battle Order Karie Arthur Vindsval Thormanil Jinnipher Lind Siercon Masson Gabriel

For me the coolest aspect of this set is the blacksmith model opening up. It's really cute! Although, I'm probably the last person to buy this set. It is quite the cute set, though!

It takes Annienal a moment to register what Avalanche states. "Are you saying you're both equally stupid? Can you estimate how stupid the two of you are combined. This is, um, sort of important." "Um... it went alright." Annienal replies. "What exactly did the captain tell you do?" -
Karie watches as the headquarters burned to the ground. Waves of nostalgia washed over her as the heat from the building radiated towards her. "Just.. get me in there. I've been in my fair share of burning buildings before, I can get them out."
-
Karie cursed under her breath. She motioned for Olivia to get close to her. "Okay, Olivia, I want you to get to shelter. I don't care where, just go and find someplace indoors. We'll take care of this from here." Karie turned to the rest of the group. "Alright, this prick's made it personal. Get yourselves ready! Let's move!"
