  1. Sorry, MDM. I'm pretty sure this isn't the first time I've confused the two.
  2. Annienal made her way back into Heroica hall, tired after her training session with Hoke. Not much was said, but he did pass on some helpful information and technique. She was thankful for his assistance, and made sure to thank him afterwards. Making her way upstairs, Annienal stopped at the top of the stairs, watching the four women flirt about. She was at a loss of words. One of them seemed ready to start disrobing as she fondled her left breast. Placing her bags behind a nearby table, Annienal lowered her helmet's visor and set her flagpole on the table, admiring the stitchwork on the flag. She contemplated personalizing the weapon with her own colours as she watched the commotion from a distance. She hoped none of them came near her.
  3. Karie shook her head towards here husband. She didn't want to stir something up. There was enough issues in the party that getting into a feud with Masson would only make things worse. "Whenever people are ready to move along, let's do so." Karie got up, having finished repainting her face. "We need to press on."
  4. Karie smiled thankfully towards Vind. "I appreciate the sentiment, Vind. Thanks." She'd never been given that much praise by anybody, besides her husband. She pictured herself among the elite of Heroica hall, sitting among them and being considered a champion. "Vind, I know we haven't been acquainted for long, but I consider you a good friend and a dependable ally." Karie frowned. "You can't honestly look at me and say that."
  5. "Lawrence couldn't comprehend losing to a man like Masson. He couldn't comprehend the idea of redemption. Even after Masson saved his life, and went through... Enough in his place, he cheaply attacked him and took his arm as I could do nothing but watch." Karie grimaced, brooding as she applied her face paint, her strokes becoming violent. She stopped herself, closing her kit with a snap. "Vind, do you think I'd make a good veteran of Heroica?" Karie looked up at Vind, something she'd normally have to do, but sitting down made his presence even more formidable.
  6. "Last I remember, the last one remaining was that git Charon." Karie replies to her husband. "Although with what's her face, Telethia, getting away, I wouldn't be surprised if they're collaborating on something as we speak." She didn't want to admit to it, but the thought of fighting Charon scared her. The thought of seeing him again made her worried. The small glimpse back in Eschaton of his potential rage made her spine crawl. Karie covered her nose as she noticed the noxious vapours before the two proggs. "I'm going to sit outside for a minute. Get off my feet for a minute." Taking this moment, Karie sat down and began touching up on her face, adding white paint to her face, mumbling to herself. "I really should've brought more of this stuff.."
  7. Then perhaps play Bobby as someone trying to get out of this branding? I'd set up a goal for Bobby to fulfill: find someone who can remove the branding. That's my two cents, at least.
  8. Yeah, I've always seen Zoot as kind of an evil guy. What would you say Bobby's feelings are on his new servitude? I find asking questions about a character to be the best way to figure out role play issues.
  9. Annienal hesitantly shakes Hoke's hand before nodding. "Um... Lead the way."
  10. Karie's breath began to rapidly increase at the sheer referring to Lawrence. Being equated to Lawrence made her want to roil over. She felt a need to restrain herself as she took in a few deep breaths, flashes of visions projecting across her eyes as she did so. She didn't want to be him to others. "...very well. They live. Arthur, Myriim, they're your responsibility. Don't make me regret this." Karie moved closer to Arthur, whispering to him. "Don't equate me to that lump of fat ever again. I mean it." She looked at Arthur begrudgingly, before turning on her heel. She had to admit to him he'd played his hand well, though.
  11. "Um, alright, sure. Let me just grab my things and we can head there." Annienal grabbed her things and awaited the man to lead. "Oh, um, I'm Annienal, by the way. I don't believe we've met before?"
  12. Annienal jumped, turning around quickly towards the shouting voice. She quickly made her way back to the table, flagpole in hand. The banner waved violently as she hurried to the man she traded for it. "O-okay! So, um, where are we going to do this?"
  13. Loot Distribuiton Karie: Glistening Crystal, Potion x2 Vindsval: Crystal Blade, 3 Tonics Siercon: Telethia's Robes, 3 Tonics Arthur: Silver Ore x2, Potion x2 Lind: Angel Helmet, Potion x2 Jinnipher: Silver Ore x2, Potion x2 Thormanil: Silver Ore x3, Potion "If there's any issues, take it up with yourselves." Karie combines the Glistening Crystal with her Empath Glass, satisfied with the effect.
  14. Can someone please make Oscar the Couch an enemy encounter? That sounds utterly hysterical!
  15. "Do what you gotta do. You're still having one with Arthur and Annienal." Karie shrugs, still looking pleased with herself. Karie rubs her head. "Ugh... that felt weird. Let's not do that again, please. If it's Immortalis's way of trying to connect to us, I'd say it's a failed attempt." "Simple: I don't trust them." Karie replies. "Arthur, we're putting people at risk keeping these two alive. Either send them back to their master or see to it that they don't. As much as I disdain from violence, this bastard's pushing my buttons, and I intend to push his back all the way to Eschaton."
  16. Annienal gives Hoke her Crimson Haze and 300 gold in exchange for his two Dragon Scales and his Hollow Flagpole. "I'll, um, be waiting over there. Thank you!" Annienal grins happily as she hastily picks up her new flagpole, gleefully admiring the craftsmanship of bannered lance.
  17. Annienal notices Hokes eyes linger over the Crimson Haze, placing the vial on the table along with 300 gold. "Does, um, the vial of Crimson Haze and 300 gold sound good for both of the Dragon Scales and the Flagpole?"
  18. The sound of loot clattering on a table draws Annienal attention to it, her eyes lighting up. She slinks off her stool and moves towards the items sprawled out on the table, her eyes gravitating towards the dragon scales and the hollow flagpole. "Um, excuse me sir, are you willing to part with either the Dragon Scales of the Hollow Flagpole?"
  19. Karie tosses Arthur the flowers. "Take 'em. If anyone else has need for an item, let me know." Karie stated, looking elated. Her white face paint was running from her face, leaving patches of her pasty skin bare. She leaned against a tree and began to catch her breath, laughing in Arthur's direction. "I told you, Arrhur, never tell me the odds." Karie turns to Lind motioning with her head towards Arthur, still giggling between breaths. "How's everyone holding up?
  20. Annienal nods towards Torald as he walks away, loosening her shoulders and breathing deeply. She turns to Avalanche as he asks her a question. "Libraries have been burnt to the ground due to be individual beliefs that their tomes are unholy or contain information that could corrupt youth. The yeti's lack of knowledge is different than ignorance. If, um, that makes any sense."
  21. My labtop's charger cord currently doesn't work (it's an Apple product, of course), so if people are wondering where Karie's coloured font went, that's why, unfortunately. I'm currently using my phone to get post.
  22. Annienal shook her head. "I'm, um, going to have to decline. We'd be traveling quite awhile until we saw a dragon. The closest ones I believe are Dastan, and I don't have the funds to go that way just to get a glimpse at them. Besides, some of the heroes here actually own dragons, so if you, um, wait here long enough you'll see one." Annienal stated, making an attempt to deflect the obvious advance.
  23. Annie felt put on the spot and bit her lip before stumbling her way to an answer. "Um... well I came here after getting removed from Trost Military Academy. They said I wasn't "up to their standard" so they sent me away. I had to figure out what to do with my self seeing how my parents were all knights.... that and I guess I sort of find dragons fascinating. Really fascinating. You ever seen one before, Torald?" Annienal leans in, looking giddy at the thought of massive, winged reptiles.
  24. So I decided to build up the cab a bit and also heighten the engine a bit. I think I managed to get the shape of the engine a little bit better, although I'm probably going to tinker with it a bit more. Feedback's appreciated, as always.
  25. "Um... my name's Annienal, Annienal Anavir, and no we haven't met, but, um, what do you mean nobody mentioned a place named a library? It's a building where books or periodicals are held to allow others to read them." Annie had never heard of anyone who hadn't heard about a library, and the thought that someone had confused her. "I'm sorry, where are you from, um, Torald?"
