Alexandre sits in the table in the back corner. A single half drunk bottle of Falana Wine, a rather popular beverage from Chairis, sits up right by the chair directly in the back corner. Small indents have been made by what appear to be a dagger, and scratched into the table is a single name: Karie Alderflask.

Karie notices a young woman stand up and bolt out the door. She feels a sudden urge of guilt. Johon wasn't with her when she left his place. Perhaps he was giving Drake hell. Perhaps he was beating his head in. Perhaps Drake was prancing about Johon's corpse with his imp. It seemed as if she was doomed to live a life of regret and dispair. She still stank of rum, and her make up was still smeared. One could see where the rum had trickled down her. She got up and left the main hall to find a potential place to shower herself. Perhaps it would calm her down.

Karie walks back into the hall and heads to her spot, back in the usual corner, but not before stopping by the bar. "A bottle of Falana Wine, if you please." She takes the bottle and the cup and walks back to her table in the corner. She pulls out her Heirloom Dagger and begins to fidget with it.

Karie had Dan for at least two hours. She panted in the street and sat on a crate. She looked about and realized she was in the market. She got up and walked about. Portia noticed her and grimaced. Karie gave a half hearted wave and smile as she walked on. The rush out of Johan's place had tired her out. She noticed the smithy and walked into his shop. She browsed the various weapons on displayed and walked to the counter. She notices the bearded man working on a sword. "Hey. You buy weapons?" The smithy doesn't move from his work but does reply. "I can hear you laying a dagger on the desk. It's typically used by the town watch. I can tell because the metal used to make those blades is often cheap. I'll buy it off you for 20 gold coins." The smithy gets up from his work and lays the money on the counter. "Sounds good enough for me." Karie starts her shopping with 239 gold. She sells her Dagger (WP:4) for 20 gold, giving her a profit of 259 gold. She leaves the smithy and continues to look around. She notices a fashionable looking store being run by an even more fashionable looking elf. She begins to window shop when she's interrupted by the store owner. "I'm sorry to interupt, can I help you?" "No, I'm just browsing... actually, yes, you could. Are you interested in this cloth?" The owner takes the cloth and rubs it through his hands. "Brendenton fine cloth. Quite a decent amount too. You aren't the only one to bring in this quality of cloth. I'll give you 30 gold for all of it. Deal?" He outstretches his hand. "I don't see why not." Karie sells her Cloth for 30gold coins, giving her 289 gold coins. Having sold her cloth, Karie lazily walks back to the hall.

I really like the new Black Knight! The Stunned on the special is surviveable so long as the party's willing to give them a remedy, and it really comes of like a damage dealing class, almost one that gives the finger to enemies with high SP and health. Quick question: does the damage lost count for the total amount lost in battle, or the amount of ones remaining health?

Karie just watched as Drake murdered the defenceless goblin. "He does know that he's committing an act of murder, right?" Karie nudged Johon on the shoulder. "I say we slowly walk away and then run back to the hall. I think I'll talk to him once he's calmed down. On me." Karie walks back slowly, urging Johon to follow, and then bolts it down the road and back to Eubric. She wanted to be as far away from Drake right now. Drawing Willies on his face would have to wait for when Drake was clearly in a more docile and unconscious position.

"Long, touchy story. In short, he ran off during a battle, I got a few arrows pumped into me that he could of potentially blocked, and I still need to understand why he did so, or at least teach him a lesson about it. So we leave him here, draw on his face, and wait for him to return to the hall. Then we watch Drake get a taste of his own medicine. The whole point is he needs to return to the hall so that everyone can see the giant Johnson on his left cheek."

Then it's settled! Kayla Raltyn is the full name of Violetta the Cat Burglar, er, was the full name.

Karie's opinion of Drake seemed to be stronger than Johon's. He left the party in an important battle that almost got her killed. "Well, yes, I have. In all honesty, I don't know what to think of him. He's just so... Drake, if you get what I'm saying. I don't think he realizes the consequences of what he's doing. Oh well, I don't know the consequences of what I'm doing right now, but I do know how to draw a few "naughty" things, if you get my drift. You know what, why don't we just do that. Here, I use this for eye shadow on occasion, just draw something inappropriate on his face like a moustache or a Johnson or something." She hands Johon an eye shadow pencil than grabs one herself. She notices Dak hovering about. "You want in on this? I assure you under the three categories of pranks you listed, I'd put this under "freaking amazing"!

So, after a few hours of thinking, I've come down to two last names for Kayla: Raylton Crofte Which do you guys like better?

"Well then get him off me! He's crushing me with his suit of armor!" Karie looked about, trying to find something to tie Drake to. A shady tree sways a few feet away. Perfect. "You got any rope? I really want to tie this guy to a tree and draw some stuff on his face. You wanna join?"

No no, he has the ability to call the battle a draw!

"...four, five, six..."

Give a few hours to concoct a last name. I had no intentions of having them be related to the houses, if anything they lived in the Hovels. Karie may steal the spot light, but I try hard to ensure she's not a Mary Sue!

Alderflask is the last name of Karie's adoptive parents. I don't believe a last name for Kayla was given, so I haven't done anything involving Karie's birth name yet. If Sandy want's to give Kayla a last name, I'll roll with it when the time comes. Edit: And autocorrect believes I wanted to write Mayla instead of Kayla.

Drake landed on Karie as she was about to take another bite of her sandwich. How the hell did Drake know she was here? Had he followed her to Johon's place? It wasn't important now. She did say she was going to have a talk with him, now would be the best time. Then the bucket of rum was dunked over her head. Perfectly good, delicious rum. Her white makeup began to trickle down her body as the rum washed it away. "Drake, being the type of woman who considers herself sporting and fair, I'm going to give you and your imp ten seconds to get off me and run before I get up and take you out with Sexy in hand. One. Two. Three..."

Karie watched as Nessa flew off on the dragon back to the hall. "I think she just jacked our ride." She looked down at the other two sandwiches left, one for Romulus and one for Nessa. "Oh well, more food for me!" She begins to mow down on another sandwich. "So. What's your story, Johon? Treachery? Murder? Exile? Banishment?"

Sorry LordoftheNoobs, I was hoping Steerpike would be over by the time the quest started. I do want all the low levels on a low level specific quest, so after this one I'll see what I can do. It'll probably be Grim Grinning Ghosts 2.

Karie applauds Johon's excellent marksmanship. "Nice shot! Now then, I brought some food and wine, why don't we take a break and have something to eat?" Karie pulls out a few roast beef sandwiches, a few carrots, and a bottle of Falana Wine, which she pours into three cups. "No I didn't steal them, technically. I grabbed everything from the bar before we left. So there's no need to feel guilty!"

Karie goes back and sits on the stump, putting her bow next to her. It seemed see didn't have the archer's touch. She crosses her arms and watches Drake. "It seems archery takes longer to learn than I expected. A little too long if you ask me. I'll let Johan finish that last rock, I'm rather hungry." Karie pulls out a flask full of water and a small bag filled to the brim with trail mix, which she begins to devour while watching Johon aim. She pulls out her dagger and begins to play around with it.

Well, Karie's a contender to replace Violetta/ Kayla once she finds out. She still doesn't know she's adopted yet, so at this point, anything could happen!

Karie shrugged. "I suppose so." Karie gets off her stump, readies her bow and aims at Rock B. It's harder than it looks. Nessa makes this whole ranged attack thing look easy.
