  1. "I really don't see any way out of this, guys. Damnit!" Karie looks about, not sure of what to do. She decided to do something radical, something she wouldn't do on any normal day. She kneeled, her hands clutched, touching her forehead. "Ennoc. Oh great and holy Ennoc. I know this isn't saying much, coming from a woman who's been quite the rude, conniving, snivelling, seductive, cut-throated agnostic, but if there's some way you could at least give us a hand, it would be appreciated, because I'd prefer to keep my arms in their sockets, and me and my... associates could really use a hand. Um... amen." Karie gets up, awkwardly brushing herself off, hoping that perhaps god would be forgiving, if only this once. That warrior priest guy better be right about this... Karie heals Thothwick from the back row.
  2. I still wonder how many people clued in that the wine bottle found in Masson's room was given to him by Karie. And then Boomer's had to ruin it and take a swig of it...
  3. "Already done, Thothwick."
  4. Well if someone said "Lets kill the guy who seduced your sister" and had a task force to back his statement up, you'd probably have dinner with him too.
  5. She's probably immune. You've obviously never seen the Princess Bride. Which is why Heckz needs to get his hands on that book!
  6. "Oi! I'm no kid, I'm twenty two! We need to heal up this round, Dyric! If you provide cover, I can heal Thothwick. Unarmed Pongcanis Warrior, perhaps I could give you a hand? Why do I even bother..." Karie attacks the Pongcanis from the back row. "I'm getting knocked out, right here, just saying guys..."
  7. So Karie, feel like betraying the party today? "Sure."
  8. If the Hitchhiking ghosts in 61 and 78 are anything to go on: yes.
  9. Round One of the Back Alley Brawl!!! Battle Order >Arasmyth vs. "Donny"- Crit. (9x2+15=33 damage) >Heckz vs. Quinn- Special (Side Effect: Heckz is Poisoned!) >Purpearl vs. Kong- Miss (-1 ether) Avalanche vs. Cheech- Damage (1/2= 1 damage) Heckz: -1 health The party starts strong, as Arasmyth fires off an arrow into faux Donny's shoulder, sending him back reeling. However, things turn south as Heckz attacks the harlot with a darkness spell. She swiftly dodges in a manner most seductive than thrusts herself onto Heckz and begins to make out with him. His mouth goes numb as he soon realizes her lips have been coated in poison. She pushes him back and then readies herself for the next attack, swaying her whip back and forth like the tail of a persistent cat. The two new heroes dive into the fray, with Purpearl firing a fire spell at the imposing Kong. He blocks it with his club then swings for the elven mage, Purpearl barely getting out of the way. Cheech, rolling a new blunt, lights it up and jabs the fiery hot end at Avalanche, causing a minor burn. The battle continues... "There's more where that came from, compadre!" Cheech Level ??? 10. When Is say "quirk", I mean anything to help the character stick in the PC's mind besides his inherent personality. A cocky, hotheaded gambler is a fun NPC in his own right, but perhaps he has a lucky coin he always fiddles with and carries with him. Why? I'm certain the PC's would be curious, no? The rogue who masks themselves in an ornate kitsune mask may be doing more than hiding their identity. Perhaps they've been horribly scarred. Or maybe they themselves don't feel human. A quirk in my book can be used to simply help the PC's remember NPCs. You got it!
  11. Give all NPC's a quirk. Either their cowardly, or they've always got a drink in their hands, or they're ladies man. Stick to the trait, and allow the PC's to help flesh them out. Add two even, perhaps you have a man with a noticeably large, prized beard, and he also happens to be a sailor. Work on the traits from there. He's a sailor, so he's perhaps a rough guy to be around, but he's dependable and always looking for a pay check. At least, that's what I do.
  12. OOC: You can't do both. You can either use the venom or attack. As well, no need to remind me about items, or any QM about it for that manner, I've got everything under control, Dragonfire. Thanks though.
  13. Well, if you didn't do that you wouldn't be Endgame, now would you? I was curious what people thought of an anthology series of quests, one where the link isn't the characters or locales, but a theme. Like "Kintobor's Halloween Haunt", or "Kintobor's Season's Greetings". Thoughts?
  14. In that case, if you do go through with it, call me out. I don't think from a narrative standpoint it works. You as a QM want the PCs to succeed, and it frankly doesn't help the PCs succeed. Or at least, I want them to succeed. Your Endgame, your job is to make PC's blood boil and cause massive inventory management and loss of items.
  15. Only if the PC is willing to go through with it. I know Zepher asked during the Wren finale, and those that said yes didn't die, so it's up to the player. NPCs though, totally up to you.
  16. Faux Dozenhands.

  17. OOC: No problem at all! Purpearl pokes the blunt out of Cheech's hands, his face beginning to turn red, and not from the marijuana. "That was the biggest joint I ever rolled! Now I gotta roll up another one! And this is not a friendship band! It's a one-hundred percent hemp bandana showing my support for el Wolfgang, amigo! And now I'm going to send you up in smoke, for ruining my cannabis!" "Wow, compadre, how many heroes are there again..." The Wolfgang thugs surround the party, their weapons drawn, circling the party like sharks out on the open water. There was only one thing the party could do at this point... "Come on, amigo! I'll kick you in cojones!" Cheech Level ??? Humanoid Health: 30/30 Special: Up in Smoke- Cheech blows a smoke ring at the attacking hero, stunning them. Passive Special: Cheech deals damage equal to the attacker's level. Drops: Pixie Dust "Can we stop for a minute? I think I'm seeing stuff..." Kong Level 8 Humanoid Health: 45/45 Special- All Time High- Kong deals 4 damage to the attacking hero, as well as another 3 for every status effect on the hero, both good and bad. Passive Special- Kong denies the SP of higher level enemies. Drops: Rocky Mountain (earth elemental axe, WP: 5) "Sup, sugar sweet?" 18. "You guys aren't a lot of fun to hang around, in fact, you're quite the Bors. Absolutely awful... If you got any ideas besides the one we're currently using Dyric, best speak up, otherwise I'm kicking this dirty old, walking carpet out to dry." Karie attacks the Ponganis from the back row.
  19. Ten points to Gryffindor.
  20. I'm waiting to see what Purpearl has to say. The battle begins when I say so. Donny pushes Avalanche back and swipes his dagger from the ground. "That's a dirty move there, mate! I think I'm going to skin you after this and place you over Ulric's mantle, you filthy yeti scum!" "You sure about that sweet cheeks? Suit yourself. I'm getting your money one way or another, so whichever you prefer works for me." "Oh no, I'm shaking in my boots..." Donny remarks sarcastically. He brushes Heckz title off, and chuckles.
  21. Despite being somewhat drunk still, Karie felt as if the puns she spoke were affecting her ability. FIrst her sister's catsuit and now miraculously being lucky. She feared the size of the hangover. "Grumpy, you set my heart on fire. Wow that one was really bad..." Karie attacks the Pongcanis from the back row.
  22. Karie attacks the Pongcanis from the back row. "Some reassurance would be nice, like "Karie, don't worry, you don't need your arms anyways", or "It won't hurt as bad as taking two arrows to the torso." Nothing? Great."
  23. OOC: Sorry, I saw it. Still changes the plan.
  24. "Well... crap. Some take a smelling salts. STAT!"
  25. "Well, I'd recommend one of us down a Smelling Salts, and preferably not me. We need to spread our consumables out with that blasted furry thing's ability to... dislodge our arms. Yuck. Personally, we need to get that blasted rug out of the way first. I could, but I really don't want to have to use magic to relocate my shoulders to their sockets. Put me first, and if need be leave the Pongcanis first. I can take his attack (unwillingly of course...)." Karie clears her throat, knowing what she has to do in order for the battle to swing in their favour. "Hey Bors, you should see a doctor. You're looking a little green." You're a riot, Karie. An absolute riot...
