Heroica RPG - Quest #140: Requiem for a Machine
Kintobor replied to CMP's topic in The Heroica Archive
Annienal's a Mystic Knight, Pie. She uses Enchantment on her current shield. Also, her Greaves should be leg wear, not hand wear. Annienal wraps her hand around her Amethyst. She use it combined with her Training Sword on Reg Goldjaw from the back row. "I'd like to be able to get my Cutlass soon, since I'm doing little to nothing against Reg."- 559 replies

Heroica RPG- Quest #137: Where the Dead Go to Live
Kintobor replied to Kintobor's topic in The Heroica Archive
The Manor Gates Party The man takes one look at Throlar before turning back to his work. "Sorry, I don't think you can afford anything I have for sale. Have a good day, sir." Purchasing and Upgrading Weapons at Olif's Smithy takes 5 Reputaion --- The East Gates Party As Althior heads out for the Last Chance, Sorrow and Vindsval prepare for Irisa's offer. (Scroll of Poisoning- Roll of 1. Success! -5 ether) "Now then, using the crystal ball, I'm going to peer into your pasts. The crystal ball will either show me scenes that are true, or have added fabrications. I need you to tell me what has been fabricated in an attempt to draw out whatever is manifesting in this orb. Shall we begin?" --- The Last Chance Party Althior returns to the Last Chance, a familiar face lingering outside. He seemed to look into the store on occasion before continuing his loitering. It looked as if the shop was still open if Althior was interested in shopping. Journal Location: Last Chance Convenience and Goods Current Time: Afternoon Day: Two Reputation: 3 Side Quests: -

Feeling bored, Karie gets up, grabs her things, and heads for home. She could use some time away from the hall.

Heroica RPG- Quest #137: Where the Dead Go to Live
Kintobor replied to Kintobor's topic in The Heroica Archive
Sorry, no update tonight. I'll get one tomorrow though, since there's some things I need to set up. -
And that's cool. I'm just saying when you look at traditional D&D alignment trees, Calamity fits the Chaotic Evil alignment pretty well. I think you play Calamity well, I just don't think she works in a group full of Good and Neutral aligned heroes for that reason, because they have no reason to trust Calamity. I find it hard knowing she's a demon worshipper and finding a reason to not run her through on the spot, because I know she's your character and I don't want to flat out kill a PC without the players permission.
-
That's more of a neutral evil action, though.
-
She still participated in sacrificing people. Just because you perform an evil action on evil people doesn't make it any less evil.
-
Knights are usually Lawful Good, because they generally still follow a code of conduct, even if it's a moral code. Annienal's pretty Lawful Good. Calamity is 100% Chaotic Evil. She worships demons, a known group of evil entities, and she's sacrificed people in order to get demons favour. I'm honestly shocked Calamity hasn't been run through with a sword by a Paladin or a Cleric.
-
I'd say lawful neutral. Flipz is just saying his back and forth between good an evil actions is somewhat chaotic.
-
The character you described is "Chaotic Evil", and that particular alignment should be avoided in this game. Shall we team up?
-
I can try. Give me a bit.
-
Lind posted this, and I actually think this is really well written. Anyone want to take a crack at Karie? She's no Lawful character, considering her distaste for the Watch, but I don't think she's 100% good, either.

Heroica RPG - Expert Job Class Discussion

I'll second this motion. -
The Wolfgang isn't evil though. They're more than likely chaotic neutral. And for those looking to play evil characters, no. Just no. This is Heroica, not Evilica. The moment a character knows you're evil, you're done. No one has any reason to trust you, and there's no reason for any other character to not outright murder your character if they're good aligned. Hopefully this video helps explain this.
-
Thanks 135, I doubt I'll be sleeping tonight. Seriously though, that is an awesome build, Sandy.
-
This is a great Theatre discussion, so I'm throwing it here.
-
My number one rule for character creation: do they work well in the group? Doesn't have to be every group, considering this game has multiple different parties instead of the usual one in a tabletop RPG, but the character you play has to get along in a group environment. Bottom line is that if you should at least be "Han Solo", where you may be abrasive and somewhat roguish, but when the chips are down you're a good guy. This character sounds chaotic evil, so I'd go back to the drawing board and rethink this.

Heroica RPG- Quest #137: Where the Dead Go to Live
Kintobor replied to Kintobor's topic in The Heroica Archive
"Vindsval is indeed correct, my name is Irisa, and I am a seer. Are you two interested in getting your fortune told? Arcane items? I might be willing to part with a scroll... if you could help me with something." Irisa stands up and moves her crystal ball back to the table, setting it down gently. "See, my crystal ball has been experiencing some... er, irregularities lately. It keeps showing irregular visions involving the past, and only the past. I believe something has manifested inside it, but I don't know what. If you'd be willing to peer into it and see what's the matter, I may let go of one of my scrolls." Irisa taps her bandaged fingers on the wood of her table, waiting for a reply. A new Side Quest has been added to the Journal. Journal Location: East Gates Current Time: Midday Day: Two Reputation: 3 Side Quests: --- Glasha rubs her forehead, trying to concentrate. "I did overhear someone talk about something weird they saw... oh, who was it... shoot, all I remember was that it was by the Last Chance store. I hope that helps." -

Annienal skimmed through her pockets, realizing she was broke. She cursed under her breath and scrambled looking for some scrap of gold until she was startled by the door being blown open. "Um, girls, perhaps we can figure this out some other time? I'd advice you to remain calm and get behind something!" Annienal stat to the women at the counter, trying her best to keep collected and being diplomatic. She clutched the handle of the only sword she had on her, glad to have at least something to defend herself with.- 559 replies

Your model of See Through looks really good! Comparing your creation to the above picture, you really managed to capture the spirit of the car and it's pink, insane glory. The suspension's a nice touch, too, and the steering's also really cool. I don't think I'll see a MOC based off of something so ridiculous for a while, so thanks for putting a smile on my face!
