  3. I wouldn't be surprised if we got Metalhead next year, along with several other important characters from series 2. After all, this year's wave had focused on other important characters from series 1, so I'd expect the next wave to be more focused on series 2 content. If so, we could see characters such as Tigerclaw and Casey Jones as well, which would be great, but we'll just have to wait and see.
  4. ^ I really hope that they do so, but I can't really see it happening. The simple problem with the film is that most of the scenes which could realistically be turned into set have already been created.
  5. Well I finished Kanon a while ago. As I expected, there were moments of sadness and happiness, though much of it was overshadowed by a somewhat preposterous ending full of "miracles" that simply made no logical sense at all and just seemed to have been done as an excuse to finish the series. Even so, it was very much enjoyable and one of the better animes that I have seen as of late. Then was Attack on Titan, which I got as far as episode 22 on before website issues prevented me from moving onwards from there. As such, I have decided to stop watching it there and wait for the English dub again. From what I did watch, I was extremely impressed; Attack on Titan certainly lived up to all of the hype. Next I'll be moving onto Toradora, which should be interesting.
  6. I figured they would be bad based on the Marge picture that emerged yesterday (or the day before, I can't remember exactly), but these are horrific. They are so bad that it is almost laughable. How anyone can say that these are better than what we got I have no idea.
  7. I had never considered that possibility, though it sounds like a far better way to manage it than most. The minifigures still won't need to be mass produced, as not everyone will be able to do the promotions anyway. At the very least, it would mean that more people have the possibility to get these minifigures than if they remained as SDCC exclusives. This would also reduce after-market prices of the minifigures as well, which can only be good news.
  8. Talk about a major disappointment. It just looks bad in so many ways, even if the buildings can actually be built like that. Oh well, I'll still watch the episode because I enjoy The Simpsons and LEGO, but it won't stop me from being underwhelmed.
  9. ^ If I'm entirely honest, I'm hoping that the films begin to gravitate towards Cybertron and focusing more on the Transformers for once rather than focusing on the humans, who are mostly annoying and just distract from the awesomeness of the Transformers themselves. Beast Wars could be an interesting direction to take these films especially with the introduction of the Dinobots.
  10. ^ Well, I suppose anything is possible at this stage, so I can't really rule out the possibility of a Justin Hammer minifigure, even though it seems highly unlikely to me. More that will probably never get made: Doombot MCU Whiplash Mark 5 Iron Man Fandral Volstagg Hogun
  11. http://www.hitfix.com/news/michael-bay-confirms-transformers-age-of-extinction-will-launch-a-new-trilogy I'm not really sure how to react to this. I don't really see where else they can take this when they have killed off so many main Transformers already. What does everyone else think of this?
  12. ^ I can't remember exactly, but I'm pretty sure that the polybag Elrond was an exclusive minifigure with LEGO The Lord of The Rings rather than a Con exclusive.
  13. I'm hoping they take that kind of route. That, or sell them throughout SDCC or just have them as previews for the next wave (like Azog was last year). Whatever happens, I hope LEGO start to manage these exclusives better at this year's Con, particularly after all the controversy about it last year.
  14. I don't think we will end up seeing Mysterio, Leader or the comic variant of Arnim Zola.
  15. ^ Knowing our luck in the UK, I am sad to say that I would be entirely unsurprised to see these movie sets pushed back so as to coincide with the movie release. It happened with the Lone Ranger sets over here, so I'm sure the TMNT movie sets would abide to the same principles.
  16. Personally, I hope that all the SDCC exclusives that there currently are and will be in the future eventually get full releases as they rightfully deserve. If not, the SDCC exclusives are depriving people of many fan favourites. It would be such a shame to see so many good characters go to waste courtesy of SDCC.
  17. John Mayer - Who You Love (ft. Katy Perry)
  18. Anything from Amalgam Comics will never see the light of day again.
  19. ^ I suppose it is a possibility, but considering the fact that many people considered Justin Hammer to be a joke of a character I can't see it happening, even if he does appear in the MCU again. After all, what is the appeal of Justin Hammer? I could understand it if they gave him powers or something, but until then I really don't see him being made. Then again, TLG have already proven that nearly anything is possible, so who knows?
  20. ^ I know it's a long shot to hope for LEGO to manage the SDCC exclusives in that manner, but we can always hope. Speaking of such, surely dealing with SDCC exclusives in that manner wold certainly make much more sense from a business standpoint, and would prevent the scalpers from selling the minifigures off for ridiculous sums of money. Either do that or simply use upcoming minifigures from the next wave as SDCC minifigures, similar to last year's Azog exclusive that was eventually released.
  21. Whether this movie ends up being good or not, it still really bugs me that the movie isn't coming out in the UK until October. This will undoubtedly continue to bug me until release day, but my main concern is trying to avoid spoilers between the earliest release date and the UK release date. It's also disappointing that this very late release date means that the sets won't end up coming out until October either. It makes no sense to me why the film was moved from its initial August release date to an October release date in the UK.
  22. I suppose it is cheaper for them to do it this way, but it doesn't change the fact that it is highly disappointing. I'll still watch the episode, of course, but the faces will probably be bugging me for the entire episode. Hopefully by the time the episode comes out the CMFs will have arrived in the UK.
  23. I find it odd that I find that 30-second TV spot to be more promising than the full trailer we have so far. At least in this we get to see more of the Turtles themselves in action, which certainly looks promising. Splinter, from that very brief glimpse of him, also looks very promising. Here's hoping we get at least one fight between Splinter and Shredder in this, and hopefully we see Karai in one of these trailers soon.
  24. It is unfortunate, for some of these at least, that they will never be realised in LEGO and people who want construction sets for these themes (e.g. Halo) will have to tolerate the woeful quality of MB. There is one point you made I would like to disagree with though: Minecraft is extremely well-known among children, teenagers and is gradually being introduced to adults as well. It was wise for TLG to make a Minecraft theme considering how extremely popular it has become among LEGO's intended audience; once the chance was given to them through Cuusoo they would have been crazy to turn it down.
