  1. Lady in red shirt: Excuse me, ma'am, I'm looking for the newest LEGO set, the 10211 Grand Emporium. Can you please tell me where to find it? Lady in gray shirt: The LEGO set you're looking for is on the second floor in the toy department next to the Toy Story sets. Just go up those escalators behind you, then turn left. By the way, I am very busy. As you can see, a guy walked in and returned these 18-carat gold dinner plates due to the fact that they were way too big. He returned them without telling me he cracked one! Lady in red shirt: Thanks for the directions! Sorry to hear about the dinner plates.
  2. It's a Combat Carl! LOL!
  3. I based my vote on the playability aspect. I voted for the garage. I like all the details. I like the car wash the most.
  4. This is shameful, even after the whole 10th anniversary SpongeBash celebration, that they could not let LEGO continue on with the Nickelodeon SpongeBob license for one or two more years. I am also quite fearful of what those blockheads at MEGA might do with their low-quality plastic. It makes me sick. I would've liked to wait until 2011 for new Disney sets. I guess it is all water under the bridge now. I hope someday, that they bring back the SpongeBob license to LEGO once Nickelodeon renegotiates their licensing terms a few years into the future, however long that may be. For the time being, we should accept the new LEGO Walt Disney license.
  5. Yeah. I do see that as well. I also foresee the use of fezzes, turbans, tigers, and those dome pieces from Orient Expedition redone in brown. That would be great.
  6. It's likely that LEGO is done with the Nickelodeon license, meaning no more SpongeBob sets will be made, unless LEGO and Nickelodeon join up for a second time in the next five-ten years. I am 99.9% sure that what you read was indeed a rumor. LEGO has joined forces with Disney. It is time to move on to that license...for now.
  7. ...when you have every LEGO set ever made.
  8. Here are the cartoons I like: SpongeBob SquarePants - what I like most about this show is the humor, and the title character's cheerful disposition. I also like the way that SpongeBob's friend, Patrick gets him into trouble without really trying to. Squidward has also been known to trick SpongeBob, at his job at the Krusty Krab, in return for annoying him. Sandy Cheeks has been known to push SpongeBob to his limits, like in the episode, "Pre-Hybernation Week." The crude humor in this show is reminiscent of past Nicktoons, like Ren & Stimpy and Rocko's Modern Life. Danny Phantom Rugrats/All Grown Up! Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1987 original) Speed Racer Speed Racer: The Next Generation CatDog CatScratch Rocko's Modern Life Inspector Gadget Jimmy Neutron The Penguins of Madagascar
  9. I would design mostly LEGO City sets, including an American version of the city bus from City Corner, in which I would change the color scheme from the Danish yellow/gray to the American white/blue. I would also make a LEGO City burger restaurant, with kitchen, and indoor/outdoor seating.
  10. LEGO (and Disney/Pixar) did a great job with the Toy Story minifigures! I like the fact that they made Woody taller than Buzz. The sandwich board technique is being used on Buzz Lightyear. I also noticed that the arms from Hagrid are being used on Woody and Jessie. I also like the fact that the heads on the minifigures are new molds. The Toy Story minifigures are all stylistically accurate to their movie counterparts. Two...thumbs...up! ♪ The toys are back in town! ♪ ♪ The toys are back in town! ♪ To infinity...and beyond!!!!
  11. SpongeBob SquarePants aired on this day back in 1999! Are you excited for the SpongeBash? Discuss it here! I am very excited for this milestone. I'm ready-eddy-eddy ready!
  12. Yellow city buses are quite common in countries like Denmark, the home to our favorite building toy. Here's an example of a Danish city bus:
  13. Maybe the remaining inventory will be moved to the clearance bins. (50% off all remaining LEGO SpongeBob sets!)
  14. Yes, I know when that the license will end. December 31st, 2009 is when it will end.
  15. I think he'll have the classic cowboy hat that they brought back in the minifigure collection. The fedora is too flat. That would only happen if the Hannah Montana sets are LEGO Belville sets.
  16. You must understand that this is Disney's second contract with LEGO. While some may dislike some licenses, I think with the variety LEGO already has that if you don't like some licensed properties, that you can always opt for a non-licensed theme, like City, Space Police, Pirates, or Castle. I'm already excited about the Toy Story LEGO sets. I'm sad to see Nickelodeon end their contract, but I hope that Disney might be the next best thing. I doubt MEGA Brands would want to pick the Nickelodeon license up right away.
  17. The only problem with that, is the head is not the same. His head is more spherical, and his mouth is smaller than Squidward's, plus there needs to be a stud on top of his head to place a white 1/3 cylindrical brick on his head to serve as his sailor hat, much similar to the technique used on Mrs. Puff's head. Yeah. I just wished that they could make the new pineapple bigger, and have two floors, instead of just one. I would like to see one more set with Sandy, with her tree dome made with the large dome pieces similar to those used in the Ice Station Odyssey sets, but in trans-clear, but unfortunately, I don't see it happening in the foreseeable future, now that the Walt Disney Company has struck a deal with LEGO. As much as I miss LEGO SpongeBob SquarePants, I'll be looking forward to another LEGO theme, LEGO Toy Story/LEGO Toy Story 2.
  18. I agree. If only LEGO decided to address this issue by introducing a French door-type piece that would only be half as long as those doors currently being used on the bus in the set.
  19. I have this new idea for a new piece - a modified version of this door piece: The modified piece would only be half as long (2Wx6H), which would be perfect for LEGO City sets containing city buses, coach buses, or school buses. Here is some concept drawings I drew earlier in the day of what the door would look like, if I were to design the piece, and how it would function.
  20. As I stated before, these LEGO SpongeBob SquarePants are highly modified sets, and not straight re-releases. The pineapples have different interiors: 3827's pineapple house interior (2006): 3834's pineapple house interior (2009): Can you tell the difference? I like 3834's interior better. Don't try to judge a set solely on its outside appearance. The interiors may have changed, too. I've noticed other sets with similarities in the past, like the submersibles and the boats in the Divers sets in 1997 as well as the two train stations LEGO released in the past, 4554 from 1992 and 2150 from 1996, and most recently, the Star Wars sets containing the X-Wing Fighter. I hopes this clears things up for everyone.

  22. LEGO Aladdin: Agrabah Cave of Wonders King of Thieves Hideout Vanishing Isle The Marketplace LEGO Hunchback of Notre Dame: The Cathedral with Bell Tower The Palace of Justice The Court of Miracles
  23. Yeah. Only die-hard SpongeBob fans, and people looking for lots of orange pieces would want that set. This set of magnets is the only way to get the brand new Squidward cheap, unless you can find 3834 on clearance a few months later. All in all, the LEGO SpongeBob theme was great. The first wave had a bland pineapple, great Krusty Krab, the second wave had the Boating School, Chum Bucket, the third had Sandy's Rocket, and the Bus, the third had a less-than-robust Krusty Krab, and Pineapple. I agree with what you are saying. If you want just the minifigs, get these magnet sets.
  24. I would like to see another 8-stud-wide passenger plane, but in the style of the Beechcraft Starship aircraft, with the rear-facing propellers, canards, five porthole windows on each side, etc. LEGO has tried this unusual style before, with the release of the 1818 Starliner in 1996: Here's a picture of a real Beechcraft Starship airplane for comparison: It would also include ground support equipment and vehicles, 6 minifigures including a pilot, grounds crew, and four passengers, as well as suitcases for the passengers.
  25. I would like to see a few LEGO sets based on the Disney movie, "Bolt." The minfigs would include Penny, Penny's Mom, the agent, Dr. Calico. The animals would include Bolt (the dog/actor), Mittens (the cat), and Rhino (the Hamster)
