There are no Target stores in Europe as far as I'm concerned. The only Target stores in the world are found either in Australia or the USA. Maybe they took the pics down a week after they were put up. They were found on the American Target website, since they have online shopping.

Except the fact that you forgot the new barbecue grill, beach umbrella, and lounge chair. The boatmobile has a catapult on it.

WOW! Those are cool SpongeBob LEGO, those sets make their 2006 counterparts look inferior. Both those new 2009 sets look very nice. They even gave Patrick, SpongeBob and Mr. Krabs new facial expressions in the updated Krusty Krab set. I just wish the steering wheel on the door of SpongeBob's pineapple was light blue rather than brown, it would've been a lot closer to the design on the show. There are flowers surrounding the pineapple, just like on the show. I like the patty wagon in the upcoming Krusty Krab set. The only flaw I see in the vehicle's design is that the wheels were supposed to resemble pickle slices, just like in the movie. Happy upcoming 10th Anniversary, SpongeBob SquarePants! 1999-2009

My sigfig is my SpongeBob avatar. You can find him in any of the SpongeBob sets

I think they want to improve on the design of each of the sets before creating new sets that equally detailed. I think LEGO might soon create these sets: Squidward's House Patrick's House Sandy's House The Flying Dutchman's Ship Jellyfish Fields Karate Island Shady Shoals Rest Home/The Mermalair Goo Lagoon I also think that they want to redesign the sets, so that they look nicer. I also hope that this time they add a second floor to SpongeBob's house and do away with the basketball hoop. The pineapple looks a little more round this time than it did the first time around. I also hope that this redesign has a back wall this time.

Great Set. Too bad the re-release of this set came out in my dark age in 2003. I like sets like these. It's the "Town Plan" of the '80s.

I vote outstanding because it makes excellent use of the pieces that were available at the time. That cockpit makes excellent use of an inverted windshield.

Never mind that rant I had with Darthperson, and everyone else, I agree with them now. OK, 2009 is LEGO SpongeBob's 4th year, and it coincides with the 10th anniversary of the SpongeBob SquarePants cartoon next year on May 1st, 2009. Let's talk about how great these LEGO SpongeBob SquarePants set pictures are. The pineapple looks amazing! I like how they improved on Squidward's head. Gary the Snail looks like he's a new mold, rather than a brick built snail judging from the pic. I also see that SpongeBob has a reefblower. The Krusty Krab looks good, although it could've been bigger. SpongeBob has new printed faces, I'm specuating that his backside is also printed like in 3832: The Emergency Room. I really hope we can find bigger pictures of these sets, so that we can see the minifigs up close. Pineapple: 5 stars Krusty Krab: 3 stars

Great comic!

I know my my math. Other than that, the sets look great, in their third, not fourth, year. Yes, I agree, that argument was ridiculous, but it is nothing to have a fight over, trust me, I know my math, I graduated high school two years ago. I'm Justin Hill, and I approve this message. This message will self-destruct.

Actually, 2006 is year zero. Year three is 2009. As you can see, the theme was in it's infancy back in 2006. One comes after zero. 2006+2=2008. Does that clear things up for you?

In the Robin Williams movie, "Jack", the LEGO building sets, 6175 Crystal Explorer Sub, and 6339 Shuttle Launch Pad can be seen for a brief period of time.

Actually, it is the 2nd year for the LEGO SpongeBob line of building sets. I'm speculating that these SpongeBob sets will coincide with the show's 10th anniversary on May 1st, 2009. The newly redesigned pineapple home and Krusty Krab restaurant gets my seal of approval. You're right, Joebot, the LEGO SpongeBob line of building sets is two years old, having been started in August of 2006.

Divers is the best theme.

There's no shame in using pieces traditionally used in one theme with another. Deal with it. If only you could change "LL 928" to "FL 928".

Next year's sets will probably coincide with SpongeBob's 10th Anniversary which is May 1st, 2009.

A revival of the Outback theme would be nice. Especially since they haven't released any sets featuring road trains or the royal flying doctor planes. It would be great to see LEGO release new sets based on Australian culture.

I like this set, too. Great review! The red divers are better because they have two bases of operation - one underwater (6441 Deep Reef Refuge) - one above water (1782 Discovery Station), plus a large boat, two smaller boats, two small submersibles, two medium submersibles, and two larger submersibles with passenger seats, and also a helicopter and 3 rafts. The blue divers rely heavily on boats, since they have no base of operation. They have a regular boat, a pontoon boat (in 6559 Deep Sea Bounty) , a small submersible, 2 rafts, and a truck with trailer. I have most of the sets, tried putting them together recently, the teeth that held the arms together fell apart on the submersibles, probably due to the age of the pieces.

Great review! I own this set too! Divers is one of two themes I know of that are aching for a revival, the other being Outback.

I think LEGO would never do it. They already licensed Pokemon to Mega Bloks a few years ago.

I still have most of my Divers sets from 1997 including a few which were only obtainable through LS@H. I got them while I was on vacation with my dad in Maine. *6441 - Deep Reef Refuge *6442 - Stingray Explorer *6555 - Sea Hunter *6556 - Scuba Squad *6557 - Treasure Hunters *6558 - Shark Cage Cove *6559 - Deep Sea Bounty Sets I don't have: *1782 - Discovery Station *2871 - Diver & Shark *6560 - Diving Expedition Explorer *6599 - Shark Attack *Nice review! The mini-sub included in this set is similar to the others included in 6557 and 6559.
