  1. My speculation is that they will continue at item number 4983 or 3833 with the SpongeBob Lego building sets. I hope they redesign SpongeBob's house, Squidward's house, and Patrick's house, as well as The Krusty Krab.
  2. I could see LEGO do Back to the Future for their 30th anniversary in 2015 if they can secure a licensing agreement with Universal Studios.
  3. Arctic is actually a subtheme of City/Town.
  4. A Back to the Future Trilogy theme licensed by LEGO and Universal. Back to the Future: *The Delorean Time Machine *Doc Brown's garage from 1985 *The Twin Pines Mall *Courthouse Square 1955 **Texaco **Courthouse **Lou's Cafe *Hill Valley High School *Twin Pines Ranch *Lyon Estates/McFly House Back to the Future Part II: *Flying Delorean *Courthouse Square 2015 **Cafe 80s **Courthouse Mall **Texaco **Blast From the Past Antiques **Pizza Hut *Hilldale *Biff Tannen Pleasure Paradise Back to the Future Part III: *Hill Valley Courthouse Square 1885 *Eastwood Ravine *Time Train
  5. Buy one LEGO set, get the other one (equal or lesser value) 20% off at Shopko, a discount department store in my hometown that is similar to Target or Walmart*. I'm sure Hinckley and Joebot are familiar with this store as much as I am. If you are unfamiliar with the store, read more at Wikipedia. Shopko is found in the Midwest, Mountain, and Pacific Northwest regions of the United States and is based in Ashwaubenon, a suburb of Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. Many of their stores are found in small or mid sized communities, including some communties already served by Walmart*, Kmart, and Target. Their toy department is located towards the back of their larger stores, including store #1 (216 s. Military Avenue) in Green Bay, WI, a city of almost 104,000.

  7. Here are some ideas for a Lego CITY subtheme: Australian Outback - sets that are based on the remote areas of Australia, an updated version of the Outback theme from 1997: * Road Trains (semi trucks with 3 trailers) * Royal Flying Doctor Service Air Ambulance * Airstrip with windmill
  8. I would like to see a Lego Set with the Chris O'Donnell brown-haired black-masked version of Robin/Dick Grayson, similar to his appearance in the 1995 movie Batman Forever and the 1997 sequel Batman & Robin. I also would to see the red-haired Jim Carrey version of the Riddler from Batman Forever in a 2009 Lego set. I would also like to see a Batmobile based on the 1966 TV series' Lincoln Futura convertible design. I would also like to see the Stephanie Brown version of Robin appear in a 2009 Batman Lego set.
  9. You know what we should do about it? We should all sign a petition to get the people at the Lego Group to bring purple back.
  10. I got this set at Toys "R" Us yesterday. It is a simple build, yet fully detailed, scaled-down replica of the hospital from the cartoon. I like the new SpongeBob head piece with bandage and pants printed on all sides as well as the doctor's head piece. I really hope Lego makes more SpongeBob SquarePants sets that are as detailed as this one.
  11. I am speculating that the Lego Avatar sets didn't sell as well as expected, so Lego and the Nickelodeon cable TV network abandoned the idea of producing more Avatar: The Last Airbender building sets to focus on producing more Lego SpongeBob SquarePants building sets since the SpongeBob SquarePants license is the more successful Lego/Nickelodeon license, since more kids and families are familiar with SpongeBob, since he is seen in households around the world. Not to say that Avatar was successful, more so with teens, but SpongeBob has a bit more of a family focus. He is seen in more major worldwide markets than Avatar. It took nine years for SpongeBob to get where he is today in American pop culture. With all that being said, I personally think Lego stopped producing Avatar sets, not only because they did not sell well, but also because Avatar began to have too many complicated storylines for a Lego license, and because SpongeBob hyas a greater potential as a Lego license. With that said, I hope they come out with a Jimmy Neutron or Fairly OddParents theme in the next couple of years.
  12. Cool set! I like the tent and monster truck the most.

    City '09?

7633 sort of reminds me of the Main Street set from 1980. That farm set looks amazing. It's even got cows! MOO! I currently live in the city of Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA, so I can relate to this set since the Green Bay area is surrounded by farms, and that Wisconsin is nicknamed "America's Dairyland" on the state license plate. With that said, Lego went the agricultural direction with their new City lineup of sets. Looks like people would want to incorporate this set into their train layout when they get it.

    City '09?

I found some more pictures of the 2009 City Lego building sets: Edit by Hinckley: Those pictures are enormous and eating up people's bandwidth. Also, they seem to be photographed from a dealer's catalog. Please don't post them here. Thank you.
  17. I found some bigger pictures here: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=337708
  18. Great Review! This set has cool features. I just wish that Lego would release this as a Lego Legend and release it to Australia too, since this is a set about Australia. I would've bought two if this were a Lego Legend. That is how good it is. I like the building with latticed window and windmill. I also like the cargo airplane, windsock, and radios. Plus it looks like it's got great minifigs.
  19. Don't forget my Dog Catcher idea.
  20. Or maybe they could replace the Vestas stickers with generic Lego City stickers and release it as a Toys "R" Us exclusive.
  21. I would like to see Lego release this to the general public as a Toys "R" Us exclusive, but without a trace of the "Vestas" trademark. It would be the next best thing to getting it through Vestas. It would probably sell anywhere in between $99 USD and $150 USD. That little red house in front of it looks lovely.
  22. #3633 Motorboat with Walter Walrus (from 1986 (a year before I was born), part of the Lego Fabuland collection) (I can see the resemblance to Sinner's sig fig, can you see it?)
  23. I would like to see Wayne Manor.

    City 2009

A TV station. What we need is a TV station. Where else would the Lego citizens get their news from?
  25. Eww. I wouldn't touch that minifig.
