DarthBrickus replied to Peasantseverywhere's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes

I have used Bricklink only for sets up until now, i can't seem to find any stickers Can you (or anyone) point me to the category they're filed under? Thanks!

So, i finished building the ship today, and as expected, the stickers i applied yesterday didnt stick Here's the DSS (only the small republic Logos are left but barely visble due to crumpling...) Here's some stickers after one day "on board" But, the minifigs (Wolfpack) are awesome, the ship itself looks really nice, so i got that going for me i guess Yeah, the DSS was visibly 'bend' around some of the bags and compressed into that form due to the long storage i guess. Definitely worst was the stickers that got stuck to the inside of the box . Whoever came up with the Bags and Carton for Manuals and Stickers hopefully got a raise / medal.

I actually read your review before i bought it, but i didn't expect the level of destruction i found. I've had crumpled sticker sheets before, but this one was ridiculous. I'm half way through the build now,but i'm going to post a picture of the DSS' remains after work.

[rant] So i just bought a 7964 Republic Frigate. Straight from amazon.de. When i opened the box, i found the DSS in a mess like i have rarely seen any. Not only was it crumpled beyond recognition, almost half of the stickers had come off of the sheet and were floating freely in the box, or even worse sticking to bags or the box's walls. I tried applying them anyway but they don't stick at all. Yeah, i know it's a 3 year old set. I guess they also put the instructions and stickers in that cardboard-backed bag now. Just so, that is a RRP 129.99€ set pretty much ruined because of F***** Stickers. Sorry, i just had to vent. [/rant] Dear Mods, if this is the wrong forum or violates any rules, please delete.

Republic Frigate popped up on amazon, so i got 1 for 4% off MSRP. Also ordered Kashyyk und Utapau Battle Packs while i was at it.

I own Arkham and Parisian Restaurant and passed on the cinema. From the first two, i'd say get the restaurant. It's one of the best modulars in my opinion and while arkham is awesome too, i wouldn't omit parisian restaurant from your modular street. It's an awesome display piece. By the way, i passed on the cinema because i feel like it's doesn't quite mix up with the "style" of the rest my street. (Fire Brigade, Town Hall, Pet Shop, Parisian Restaurant, Grand Emporium)

Just got the Death Star Trooper Battlepack, AT-ST Planet Set, and Dark Side Book. Good Stuff.

DarthBrickus replied to WhiteFang's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Interesting Info about the studblasters, i don't like them visually, but they work really well. Thanks for the review, i wouldn't mind reading one for the Kashyyk Battlepack *wink* *wink* *cough* *cough* -
Trust me, it's gonna make you add them to the front of the que. That movie is so damn good, i can't wait for the bluray

LEGO Star Wars 2015 Pictures and Rumors
DarthBrickus replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Seems like there's only the "new" brickshooters in the Battlepacks again I vastly prefer the old movie-style guns. -

Hey Oky, when people start arguing about the continuity in your comics, it might be time for a reboot alá infinite crisis / crisis on infinite earths Might as well start building an Anti-Monitor now, to save time later -

What made you get out of your LEGO dark age?
DarthBrickus replied to BearHeart's topic in General LEGO Discussion
My (now) wife used to ask me why, if i love Star Wars (i was mostly collecting the old kenner-toys back then), and used to be a big fan of Lego, i never considered buying a Lego Star Wars Set. While the older sets just didn't seem aesthetically pleasing to me, in 2010 something was released that changed the game for me: Since then I've been hooked, to put it mildly -
Lego is now the World's biggest toy maker.

Are you a collector, MODer, or MOCer?
DarthBrickus replied to Paul B Technic's topic in General LEGO Discussion
100% Collector, i'd like to MOC some, but i don't have much time -
I loved all the designs you guys created, i honestly can't say who deserves to win. Your B-Wing and Rollis AT-AT are my favorites. Well, best of luck to both of you, and may the Steam be with you

Do you always try to have a backlog of sets to build?
DarthBrickus replied to BirdOPrey5's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I try to buy sets when they're discounted, so i sometimes have a rather large backlog. Which i enjoy quite a bit, as it gives me the opportunity to instantly start building whenever i am in need of a bit of stress-relief. My current backlog is Portal of Atlantis, Gungan Sub and some Winter Sets. -
Just bought and

I like that you have included enough room so that the Astrosquirrel does not have to fit in sideways

LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors
DarthBrickus replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I'm counting 21 stickers, 8 on the red part, 8 on the "wings", 2 on the canopy, 2 on the green part the wings attach to, and one on top Though luckily, none of those look like they could mess up the model when placed less than perfectly. -

I think you still have to distinguish between playsets (like the Death Star and Ewok Village) that "house" minifigs, and "minifig-scale"-Vehicles, like the new Slave 1 and (i think) the Lambda-Shuttle. I'm a big fan of the minifig-scale UCS-Sets either way, as i think the "supertoy"-thing appeals more to the kids and AFOL-masses than the "sculpture"-thing. I don't know if there are any sales numbers that can support that argument, i would be interested in those.
