  1. Yeah, most sets are really expensive in Sweden, especially the SW ones. Just check the other SW sets´ prices on lego.com... Often it´s cheaper to buy a set from BL including SaH than buying it from a retail store here...
  2. I´ve been interested in 2 of the 8092 Luke's Landspeeder for a while, but when I walked to the store, I saw that the price was almost 2x what I would have to pay if I bought the sets for the MSRP ($24.99?) from someone in the US. Therefore I´m asking you (if you live in the US, that is) to buy 2 of the sets and send them to me in Sweden (without the boxes). I prefer paying with PayPal (mainly because it´s the only way I´m familiar with. ) Please help me out. Thank you.
  3. Spiders. I especially hate when they decide to live in BrickVille (which I unfortunately have in a non-isolated room, so it´s easy for them to get there). They put up all those nets, and.. Eurgh! They really freak me out...
  4. Yeah, especially because it´s also the only decision he´s made in 2010. I second that.
  5. W-what? I´m so going to be nice to my mom. Bigger? So the price is like 3 figs or Jabba the Hutt? (Heh, or a Maxifig? Not even I is stupid enough to believe that though, so nope. Another wasted sentence. )
  6. Seconded. Happy new 2010! (<-- is named "cry-happy", but doesn´t he look a little drunk? )
  7. Wow. They are great! Thank you very much!
  8. ..Oh. Now I know why my sigfig want me to put the merry-go round next to the women´s dressing room. I have no roof on it.
  9. Thanks. Okay, you´ve convinced me. I´ll raise the floor. If I tile it, I can even use any colour which I have too much of... maybe even megabloks? I really want a stained glass window in there. I dunno why, I just want it. Because of that, I have changed it. Is it enough Star Wars-y now?
  10. Thank you guys. I´ll keep an eye open, and hope that he´ll sell more figs soon.
  11. Thanks. I hope that I can get a load of bricks cheap, as I seem to be constantly low on plates... Yeah, it´s a Rebel hangar. Actually I won´t put many other rooms in it, other than a service bay (is that the right name?). My idea is a big "main hangar" with some ships in it.
  12. Thanks. Actually, that´s no control panel. It is stained glass.
  13. I usually name the brick by it´s dimensions, or, if there exist, the commonly used name for the brick (cheese slopes, jumper plates etc). For example; "Can you pass me the 2x4 brick?", or "Could you please give me some cheese slopes?" Naming all bricks would be hard, as there are many hundred, maybe thousend different pieces. To memorize 1000 names... well, I´d rather get the brick I need myself. It´s an interesting idea though, and it might work with more commonly used pieces. If we should make a dictionary, I would strongly suggest to make it in English, as that´s the most common language on the internet. Almost everyone understands English.
  14. Recently I got 1000 Dark Bluish Gray 1 x 2 bricks as a gift from a friend ( ). I thought a while on what BrickVille needed; and after browsing EB a bit I decided to build a hangar. I wanted a SW-style one, so I thought of dimensions etc. At first I wanted it to be the size of one 48 x 48 big gray baseplate, but as I began to build it, I realised that I needed a control room etc as well, so I doubled the size. However, 1000 1x2 bricks aren´t enough for a layout that big, so I´ll have to buy another 1500 or so bricks. Here are some pics of my progress so far: 09-12-27 (Sorry for the bad pic, I´m using my friends camera and I´m not really used to it yet. ) The stained glass window: It also features 2 working slide doors (again, sorry for the bad pics): I am puzzled about how to tile the floor, though. I want it to look good, but still not be too expensive to order from BL. Any ideas? Comments, constructive criticism, tips or ideas warmly welcome.
  15. Thank you! I found the thread as well, but couldn´t find the pics... Where did you find that pic?
  16. Well.. more like a body guard / Security guard. That´s why I said kinda.
  17. It´s selling for 149 SEK, I think around $20-$22. I did put a link to the auction in the 1st post.
  18. Actually, I got nothing. We don´t celebrate christmas. Although I bought a 10198 Tantive IV set which arrived the 23rd, I dunno if that counts...
  19. Well, I might have to make you disappointed on this one. It´s no secret. I´ve decided to let most of the citizens in Brickville (my tabletown) be various EB members´ avatars, and I thought that yours would be a nice addition.
  20. I saw this auction on the Swedish eBay site called tradera, and I wonder, is this a custom fig? The seller doesn´t mention anything about it being custom made, and is it is, it´s a darn good one, as it looks like an official fig. The pic:
  21. Er... Sure you´re not still tired?
  22. Heh, what if the prize would be a Jabba the Hutt fig? Then he would have to send me a Rotta instead..
  23. Directly quoting my post in the Pirates forum:
  24. Thanks guys. Svelte and Rick, it can seat a fig if you remove the legs, so technically, it can seat half a fig.
  25. Hehe, I love how you made the skis go on after the guy chrashed into the tree. Something similiar actually happened to me this summer (yes summer), when I was skiing for the first time. After a few days of learning I wanted to try a "red" route (2nd hardest). It was a long and pretty steep rout on a either very big hill or a small mountain, call it whatever you want. Part of it was through a small forest. I had pretty high speed when coming to that part, and as I had lended my skiing glasses to a friend, I had none. My eyes watered, so I didn´t see very well. All of a sudden I saw a curve - far too close for me to turn. I tried to stop, but only managed to slow down a bit and kept going into the woods. I kept on trying to stop, but got some unwanted help by a tree as I ran into it. It was horrible when it happened, but when I think about it now it´s actually funny. Okay, on topic... That skiing girl stole Windu´s lightsaber blade(s)? Ouch, that got to hurt... For the skates, you might want to switch the jumper plates for either these or these. Those parts would look better IMO.
