Hi, Thank you for your comments! Untortunately is my camera not soooo good and the lightness on the pictures nerves a bit, but I hope you can realize all details very well. Yes, I saw this scene ca. 100x times before I have started to build it. Therefore it was for me no problem to write Gimli's, Boromir's and Gandalf's dialog.^^ So, now I have to clean up my room. Here are a lot of bricks on the floor. ^^ Thanks and regards!

The long dark of Moria Hi together, I have created the Westgate of Moria (without the gate ). I hope you will like it. Gimli: "Soon, Master Elf, you will enjoy the fabled hospitality of the Dwarves!"Roaring fires! Malt beer! Ripe meat off the bone! This, my friend, is the home of my cousin Balin. And they call it a mine. A MINE!" Boromir: "This is no mine. It's a tomb! We make for the Gap of Rohan. We should never have come here!" As the wizard passed on ahead up the great steps, he held his staff aloft, and from its tip there came a faint radiance. The wide stairway was sound and undamaged. Two hundred steps they counted, broad and shallow; and at the top they found an arched passage with a level floor leading on into the dark. Gandalf: "We now have but one choice. We must face the long dark of Moria. Be on your guard. There are older and fouler things than Orcs in the deep places of the world. Quietly now. It's a four-day journey to the other side." Let us hope that our presence may go unnoticed"

Those Moria Orc helmets are great! I think, the reason "why we do not see usually orc helmets at the current/upcoming LotR wave" is that LEGO needs some extra specials for a upcoming Orc set? Maybe we will find those orc helmets here, in a kind Battle Pack .
-
What video? What goblin helmets? I did'nt find that video. Can you help?
-
I would it like to see a Corsair ship including Peter Jackson in LEGO format: But for the upcoming Elves would be a sailship also fantastic.
-
Absolute fantastic work! The torso, helmet and shield are looking brilliant! Damn, I love this guy!
-
Ohhh my God! @ deskp, you are a LEGO god! I want this guy so hard!
-
I want this army :
-
But in that game are'nt only characters from the movies, or? 60 characters are... many.
-
...after all! We saw a lot of LotR videogames for the last years. The option for a longer license is allways open. I think it would be wise to create LEGO-sets based of present/future videogames. What do you think regarding The Battle for Middle-earth

Hmmm... what do you think, how expensive would be an extra license based of the books and other legends of Middle-earth? Those characters are amazing. I would love it to see those cities and armies in LEGO style. Ok, back to topic. May I ask for some transparent or shining special pieces? Damn, it would be so much possible if LEGO could... or just want ?? For example that transparent minifigure. Let's imagination that's Frodo (in the situation when he's inversible and carries the ring). I would love to see that transparent minifigure with some character traits on Frodo's face and some marks on he's body. Same procedure, just in shiny transparent neon green. Would you like an LEGO Galadriel if she looks in her mirror. Let's think a bit further. What do you think if LEGO could do an mix of colored and transparent bodies for the Army of the Dead. Those dead soldiers could also get some character traits on the (transparent/ and colored) faces and also different marks on the (transparent/ and colored) bodies. Could that be possible? YES With special accessories (armors and weapons) and also shiny horses would that army become the best LEGO army I've ever seen. But that isn't all. LEGO could also create monsters like the Balrog in concerning to the same way. In combination with some different yellow and orange color shades (for the flames) and some transparent-grey and dark grey color shades (for the shadow and smoke) is it possible. The sword and the lash would be also yellow. And what do you think regarding the buildings? Yes, sure. You can with prints create things like the shiny marks like those on the Door to Moria. But what I do prefer are whole shiny buildings. And that is possible: I love those shiny bricks. Than that transparent green shiny material is already used by LEGO's Diagon Alley (Borgin and Burkes). That material is also really useful for the shiny places like Minas Morgul or the city of the dead: [That material (as red or orange colored) could be also useful for an shiny lava at Mount Doom or Sauron's red eye at Barad Dur.] Yes, LEGO could create Minas Morgul (shiny walls and tower), Barad Dur (Sauron's eye) or Caras Galadhorn (shiny lampions at the stairs) in combination with those mentioned in dark shiny effects. And those sets would definitely become LEGO bestsellers! It is no risk if LEGO tests some specilas. It is a pity that Frodo's sword Sting can't shines in the dark. I hope that we will see that shiny sword into an other LEGO set. Maybe into an set when Sam rescues Frodo at Cirith Ungol. Or Gandalf's magic staff in Moria. That accessoire would be an perfect addition for Gandalf when he fights against the Balrog. Come on LEGO! You have shiny elements already created. That here is THE chance!

I'm be with you. Here in Germany, we have also still to wait. I hope LEGO releases the LotR sets within the following two months. At Amazon is the release date focused to the 23-June-2012. I let me surprise. But what me make a bit confuse is, why are the LotR sets in the US so early available? ...and here (far far away) in Europe or there (in Asia or Australia) not.

The Shire It's Hobbit time, And something is still missing. And what we are missing? -Yes, round doors! Wonderful round doors in any color. Beauty doors for a wonderful classical LEGO Shire. Come on, who wouldn't like that? The Shire is cool! And here are collected set ideas, where we can put those doors into. And here the next ideas: And therefore I've compiled my thoughts about following possible LEGO Shire locations into 1 set: -The Green Dragon -The Old Mill with a large water-wheel, yards, hey meadow -Sam's home: Number 3, Bagshot Row -The Weekly market with following boothes: Snack bar, florist, tobacconist, greengrocer, butcher I would also like to see into that set the following minifigures: Hamfast Gamgee "Gaffer Gamgee", Sam Gamgee (in gardener outfit), Sandyman the Miller and his son Ted Sandyman I love LEGO CREATOR and/or MODULAR sets. Because this property LEGO's karma is. If LEGO produces a "3 in 1 CREATOR Hobbit hole" inclusive 3 colored doors and some hobbits with exchangeable faces and outfits -then I will buy that set 3x times! And last but not least: Sam & Rosie's wedding celebration inclusive following -Accessories: Tent, 2 x bedecked trees with blue/orange/green lampions, 2 x bedecked tables and a three-tier wedding cake, dance floor -Minifigures: Rose Cotton (in wedding dress), Tolman Cotton Senior, Lily Brown (Rosies mother), Samwise Gamgee, Hamfast Gamgee, Hamsen Gamdschie (Sams brother), Frodo, Peregrin Took, Diamond of Long Cleeve (pippins girlfriend), Meriadoc Brandybuck, Estella Bolger (Merrys girlfriend), 2 x hobbit-musicians ...damn, I want all of them.

Wake up! The time for the Elves has come: The first wave is absolute ok. LEGO comes slowly into Tolkiens fascinatingly world. From my point of view are the first special pieces made very well and some accessories are looking very promising. I think it was clever to start with simple ruins, rocks, caves and the Hornburg. So has Lego gotten more time to create the upscale buildings from the elves. And we do know how amazing these are. Lothlorien LEGO's target is to create these buildings in resizable LEGO sets. Therefore need LEGO unfortunately more new molded bricks. Best example is Lothlorien. How can LEGO create an smaller Elven Treehouse without new created bricks for the stairs? LotR is for LEGO very expensive. I think an high investment, but also good very promising. Who would not like to have LEGO sets based of Lothlorien? Rivendell LEGO can not create Rivendell without new elements. For example new molded windows, roofs, railings. These details need an elven ornate style. Just imagine. An LEGO Rivendell including just these three extra molded elven elements. Thanduril's Halls About Thanduril's Halls I have no idea. I have no imagination how Peter Jackson creates that place. For LEGO propably a lucky situation, because that place below the ground is. Maybe are here to mold just some new railings? I think, for LEGO would it be the easier way to start with that place. The Elven Armies I think at the War of the last Alliance is the color of the elven armors more golden like the armors by the Lothlorien elves at Helm's Deep. And the armors by the Lothlorien elves are more bronze. I'm curious regarding the Mirkwood elves. As I watched the first trailer from the Hobbit, there I saw elves in silver armor. I think, that they are Mirkwood elves. But completely sure I am not. Additional I would like to see some elven banners. Like the banner in video. What do you think? I think that these kind of accessoires would make us more crazy for the sets. LEGO could put a banner into the (hopefully upcomming 'Elven Battle Pack') pack. Damn, the potential of this theme is huge. Very huge. Maybe too huge. But who I telling that? You know it also.

The first LotR Wave was just the begin. The quality of the sets will be goin up from wave to wave. Than see what we can expecting: Buildings and minifigures based of THE HOBBIT: -Thranduil's halls in northern Mirkwood, -Dale, city of the Northmen, -Erebor the Lonely Mountain, -Lake-town, also known as Esgaroth, the township of the Lake-men in Wilderland, -The Great Halls of the Misty Mountains, -Dol Guldur, a stronghold of Sauron ...the "Battle of Five Armies" The different landscapes from the LORD OF THE RINGS: -Hobbiton, Isengard, Rivendell, Lothlorien, Edoras, Osgiliath and Minas Tirith, Mordor inclusive Black Gate, Minas Morgul, Cirith Ungol, Barad-dûr and finally Mount Doom The other different cultures like the Dwarves of the Iron Hills, the Easterlings, Corsairs of Umbar, the Oathbreakers (also known as the Dead Men of Dunharrow), the Haradrim and of course the Sindar and Noldor Elves of the Last Alliance at the Battle of Dagorlad Damn, the quality of the next waves will definitely be amazing! LEGO LOTR can not fail! See just the upcoming 'First Wave'. The details at the Uruk-hai's and Orc's are absolute fantastic. Eomer and King Theoden are also grandiose! Oh-man, this theme here can really become the best architectural theme inclusive best detailed minifigures of all time.

Molding is done in Billund, Denmark; Nyíregyháza, Hungary; and Monterrey, Mexico. Brick decorations and packaging is done at plants in Denmark, Hungary, Mexico and Kladno in the Czech Republic. Australia is "Down Under" and unfortunately too far away from the plants. I think that is the reason for the expensive prices in Australia.

The delivery date to Australia will be too late. If LEGO releases the first 'Hobbit Wave' until this year (2012), then will the wave coming up not later than December. And just 3 months (from September to December) are almost too short. EDIT: Do you have believable news regarding the upcoming Hobbit Wave? If you have informations, please do not hesitate to contact us.

You can buy the Orc Forge multiple times. (All) bricks are very useful, the orcs also, and you don't get double "main characters" here. I think to the "Orc Forge" suits Saruman's black Orthanc tower. Maybe is the Orc Forge a first sign?

Hi, Thanks for your comments. I put now all my green foliage into the tree. I hope it looks so better. The Tree with more foliage: Two sharper images from the entry area: Thanks The tree bole is stable, but the stairs are a bit breakable. Greetings Elander

LEGO produces Castle for more than 30 years... I think NOW where we have LOTR can LEGO really to grab the chance to develop an ancient theme. Together with LOTR would an ancient theme really work! Now can the Romans, Hellenes, Spartans, Trojans, Persians, Hittites, Arabians, Barbarians, Briton, Goths, Celts, Germans, Carthaginians, Byzantines... aaaand the Egyptians come! The list for good sets based of the different cultures is very large... Chariot races, ancient theatres, gladiator fights, Ancient Olympic Games, bathhouses, the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the Trojan Horse, Odysseus sailship, the Colosseum, the Karnak Temple Complex, the Pyramid of Cheops, the Acropolis of Athens, the Lighthouse and the Library of Alexandria, a Triumphal arch, a ancient luxury mansion and also a oasis with a luxury tent, the Great Sphinx of Giza, Solomon's Temple by Arabian Nights and the Statue of Zeus at Olympia, Hannibal with big elephants, the Limes, Hadrian's wall, a Celtic sanctuary with a druid and a small gallic village with some strong warriors . I would like Roman military engineering: -Castras, Hellenistic-era warships, siege engines (Roman ballista, The Onager, Scorpios, battering rams and siege towers) Damn, The Ancient World is amazing! I vote for more LOTR sets and additional an ancient theme.

Well done. Lord of the Rings is a very difficult theme. It was wise to start with easily caves and buildings. From my point of you are the details, playable functions and the architectural design for Balin's Tomb and Helm's Deep very good. The minifigures are looking also very well. Any news about the next wave (winter 2012/2013)? I hope we will see Bag End and Rivendell. ...and Battle Packs for Mirkwood elves and Misty Mountain goblins. I know no other theme where the potential is so big like this one. This theme 'can' become the best LEGO theme ever!

Hi, That was my first try to create an elven tree house. And I hope you like it. I was inspired by Lothlorien (LotR) and thought, ok - maybe it is possible to build the large stairs. And that is the result: It was for me a difficult job. The stairs are not very stable and therefore is the only way to create these stairs, if you put step by step multiple bricks together on the stairs. I hope you know what I mean. I added this MOC with some little details. I hope you have fun with the following pictures. And maybe you will discover all details. And now following 12x close shots. A small well: Some elven guards and civilians: The entry: The first steps... ...more steps ...and more steps ...and anymore steps ...phu, and anymore steps ...that keeps physically fit, goal! A little guard post: The Tree House: And the last picture: Greetings, Elander
