  1. Aww, it's so cute! I love the 'ears'
  2. This is great! - it looks awesome and is immediately recognizable even for someone who has yet to see the movie (I really need to do that, I keep hearing how good it is.)
  3. Thank you Kristel and TheStrategist for you comments . If you mean the pink torso on the lady at the fire, that is from the sidewalk cafe set from the Paradisa line (mid 90s I think).
  4. Thanks so much for the replies and suggestions! If I have some time, I will try a few of the suggestions (especially on the barn front and the tractor) and see how they look. - I would love to replace the spiky bushes with pine trees, (I could see that working much better) but I seem to be lacking them right now in my lego bin - ah yes, and those old tires... my only other ones right now are the brown wagon wheels (now that would look odd on a tractor )... I had thought of doing a horse drawn hay wagon...maybe this would fit better...hmmm (just getting back into the lego stuff I mostly have an older assortment of lego, and my new acquisitions have been LOTR/Hobbit/Kingdoms stuff; I've just realized how much this moc reflects my current lego state...lol) - Oh and "bomb-fire" Yikes! that would be dangerous wouldn't it... I meant bonfire
  5. Hi all, here's my entry for the Expand the Winter Village Contest III. (Also my first moc ever! -> comments, suggestions and criticism is very much appreciated): Head over to the farm for some winter fun: hop on the hay wagon for a ride, enjoy toasted marshmallows and hot cider by the bonfire, collect some eggs from the chicken coop, and give the horse some special treats. Then there are always lots of barn chores that need doing. There are a few more pictures here. Edit: Thanks everyone for the feedback/suggestions -> I've gone back and made a few changes, I've tidied things up a bit, tried to make everything fit together better (both visually and construction-wise), and overhauled the tractor. (At the very least, I don't think I made anything worse... )
  6. The stove is really neat, and I especially like the style you chose for the house walls. Cute story too.
  7. Oh... I think it might be more commonly called a rain gutter. I thought the piece along the bottom of the roof sort of looks like one. If it isn't, it is a really nice finishing touch to have an edging for the roof.
  8. I got Attack of the Wargs and Riddles for the Ring for Christmas. Oh, and a minifig bag (series 7 I think) -> it was the viking lady.
  9. This is my favorite one so far. The details are amazing! Like many others, my favorite parts are the tree and the statue. I am curious though about the guy at the desk downstairs, it kind of looks like he doesn't have any pants on
  10. Nice job! It looks really good; I like all the interior details, especially the desk lamp upstairs. And... is that an eavestrough? Awesome! and good luck.

    Hello

    Thanks for the warm welcomes
  12. What an neat idea - this sure beats those cheap chocolate advent calendars (yuck). Good luck to everyone who entered.
  13. Hi all, I suppose I would be classified as an AFFOL. Over the years, there were periods that I would play with Lego, and times that I would put it aside for something else... We've always had a mixed box of loge somewhere in the house, but the first box set I remember having was the Dragon Wagon (I was so excited to have a brown horse!). After that I would get the odd set here and there, but my interest started peaking again with the Wild West Indian sets (I like the horses). After that, I moved on to other things again (like school, then work ), until a couple of months ago I picked up Helm's Deep from Walmart and couldn't put it down... I've bought a few more sets (Medieval Village and Mill village Raid) and pulled out the old box of Lego from storage. I'm going to try and rebuild some of my old sets, hoping that I still have all the pieces. I asked Mom for Lego for Christmas, she just looked at me kind of funny. I stumbled upon Eurobricks a few weeks ago and have been browsing around quite a bit since - the stuff here is amazing! I've been inspired by the Expand the Winter Village contest to maybe try my first MOC... maybe. Anyways, I'll try not to lurk too much, and be a good member of the community.
