  1. Purpearl completes the trade and equips the Tricorne. "If you are up there yourself, you have the right to keep all of it. I dare say no one in Heroica will have any problems with that. Otherwise, the decision is Matthias to make. And before I forget, buffing yourself with something that belongs to others is a privilege, not an entitlement. Likewise, it is also up to Siercon to let you have the bomb or not. There still remains a possibility that you might or might not go up there with the bomb."
  2. Purpearl sighs in disgust as she reluctantly counts the number of starry lights in the sky. "Before you embark on your act of heroism and ultimate sacrifice, despite all the warnings from the villagers that those that go up never come back, would you bring several newborns with you, especially if they're not yours?" Purpearl unequips the Medal and dangles it in front of Lind with her staff. "I'm sorry, if there's a slight negative possibility that you might never return, I think Regulus would do the same. The tunic, tricorne, whip and the shield please. I think that's only fair for all of us, I'm happy to lend to you again if you make it back."
  3. "Looks like that mushroom you've eaten back at the Hall has its after effects." Purpearl folds her arms and gazes at the sky, slightly amused.
  4. Curious, Purpearl speaks, "What purpose do you seek to achieve with the mask? Once The Others greet these innocent sheep and anyone in their way with their shiny light, we can only bow in remembrance. Attacking them may or may not work, but so far we know from the villagers that physical attacks might not work. We can try experimenting with magic, but we risk being targeted by their beams. As scary as they might seek to portray, there's a certain laziness in their acts of levitation. In other words, if beaming up inanimate or animate objects prove to be much of a hassle, they will simply give up. Perhaps we can try to exploit that by suggesting that we and the sheep move away from the light as it comes but o come up with a viable plan, we need to consider the safety of the villagers and to retain as many sheep as possible at the end of this."
  5. Purpearl shrugs, "If we can think of anything that is viable, it is highly likely that someone else before us may have thought or did something about it. But the problem still persists it seems, added to it that we came on a short notice. Hence, the answer to the village's problems is probably very clear, especially when Heroica is involved." Taking a quick glance at the sky, "Agreed, let's head back."
  6. Acknowledging the two ladies' account, "This is certainly most helpful to us. I have nothing else for you, since the sun is almost set." Turning to Lind, "These invaders will stop at nothing to get what they desire, but seem to give up relatively easily if the strength of the beam fails to deliver. This is only preliminary, but perhaps if we stay close to the sheep and do nothing when the evil pillars of light descend on us, they might fail to suck us all up in one go. However, according to Rachelle, they have lifted roofs, so our strategy might not work. Then again, it also seems like the strength of these beams may have been pre-set. We have to work out a way to counter these invaders. It is almost time and I'm sure you have lots to say to these lovely ladies here, say what you have to, then we shall rejoin the others."
  7. "I understand. There's a greeting that is often associated with this imagery that you've described. Definitely not a good phrase to greet someone with, almost sounds like a curse if you ask me." Purpearl nods in agreement. "Other than the sheep that they beam up all the time, I'm curious, however, if these beams ever specifically target your tribesmen or protectors. It matters because of the security implications it will have on your village if capturing sheep is not their sole purpose of visiting." "Together with the sheep?" "Let me know if you need some private time alone with the ladies." Purpearl nods in a serious manner, followed by a wink.
  8. Noticing that Sorsha didn't come along with them, Purpearl takes a quick note of the setting sun and turns to Lind, "We have yet to paint a picture of how strong these Others are. Unless the Others can instantly overpower the team at the sheep with their magical pillars of light, Sorsha would be better off protecting the sheep and fighting off the Others, should they plan to strike unexpectedly while we are here at the village." Purpearl approaches the two women, hoping to get their attention, "Evening folks. I hope we're not interrupting. I understand there seems to be a sheep problem around here. We are Heroes from Heroica and Chief Tarlock sent for us remedy the situation." Bowing politely, Purpearl continues, "Other than the magical lights that they seem to use to borrow without returning, can you tell us if they have ever descended and how past defenders try to fend these invaders off? I hope that's not too many questions for a start, we're eager to solve this mystery as much as everyone else."
  9. "All sounds good to me. Shall we get Sorsha first? Her being alone with the sheep is not a good situation to be in."
  10. "I agree with you, Siercon. I will head to where Sorsha is." Turning to Lind, "Are there anything specific you would like to know from the villagers?"
  11. Purpearl slightly raises her finger, "Credits to other long-trained Mystics, if that is what you are trying to mean." The elf continues, ready to leave, "I have no doubts about Sorsha's ability, but we should keep an eye on her nonetheless."
  12. "That's some inner vitality, Sorsha. I'm sure you can join us, as long as your father is agreeable to it." Purpearl winks as she gently massages her arm. "If they are not of this world, there might be a communication barrier. However, if all else fails, there is always the infallible surface-to-air option."
  13. Purpearl nods in acknowledgement as she attempts not to entertain the possibility of being sucked up by the Others, "There must be reason or reasons as to why they target your sheep. Perhaps if they understand these sheep aren't wild and they belong to your village, they might stop. But, we'll have to be vigilant, anything can happen." Purpearl takes in the loud voices pretty comfortably, as they seem genuine. The elf smiles and extends her hand, "Hello, pleasure to meet you, Sorsha. I'm Purpearl. Looks like you're all ready for tonight. Ready to protect some sheep?"
  14. Purpearl reassures the Chief, "We will see to it. Even if we get sucked along with it, we will return with your sheep." "If there's anything I've learnt from my short time in Heroica, going against your employer wouldn't bode well in the long run."
  15. Purpearl steps forward and bows slighty, "Pleasure to assist, Chief and I hope your daughter is well." Purpearl continues, "I hope we've come just in time to help your village, if tonight is what we're here for. Ultimately, protecting your sheep and village is our business. Please let us in on the preparations the village has done so far and how we can make it better."
  16. "Statler, I apologise if I'm a tiny bit heavy on the hand earlier, but it's all good, no hard feelings." Turning to the three gentlemen, "I'll be glad to ride with you to Hoogan. I believe your village has a sheep problem? Chief Tarlock has sent for us to assist."
  17. As Statler and Waldorf continue to wallop each other, Purpearl moves around and pulls Lind back, "Let them be. It's not our fight." Suggested Battle Order >Purpearl - Nothing Lind - Nothing OOC: I reckon Purpearl and Lind can win this fight without doing anything from now, unless there's something under the Free hits and Hastened rules that I've missed out.
  18. I might need some confirmation on this, Purpearl's shield would have done (18x3)-(5x3)=39 dmg to Siercon, (18x3)=54 dmg to Statler and (18x2)-(4x2)=28 dmg to Matthias. On the whole Statler would have 300-(40+15+(18x3)+15=124dmg) = 176 health left. As Statler and Waldorf continue to wallop each other, Purpearl moves around and tries to send another fist into Statler's face from the back row.
  19. Purpearl swiftly directs her clenched fist into a specific central bodily area just below Statler's ribs and slightly above his pot belly.
  20. OOC: I think there's some confusion with the names but just to be sure, Purpearl's siding with this older guy
  21. "We're fighting alongside each other, so you can keep that on." Purpearl winks.
  22. Purpearl walks up to Lind and Statler, "It ïs best that they fight it out themselves, but this sort of situation is not alien to me either. There are many reasons to fight, soiling my tunic and tricorne with my own fists would be the last imaginable thing."
  23. After surveying the surrounding area, Purpearl steps forward towards Waldorf, Statler and the other young man. Trying to invoke trust in them through methods of diplomacy, Purpearl directs a soothing tone at the three men, "Gentlemen. We are on uneven and dangerous terrain. Perhaps we can leave the shagging to somewhere more private or somewhere safer. Your cart is certainly in an asymmetrical state, perhaps the solution here requires the energy of more than two to lift the cart while the other fixes the wheel. You are certainly in luck here to have met us, as we are on our way to the Sheep Village. Heroes like us would be glad to assist and be of any help to those who are in need. What do you say?"
  24. Purpearl stride comes to a stop and hangs around at the back. She looks around and estimates the distance the party has to cover to reach the village. "Can we please fix the wheel or do something about it?"
