    LDD MOC Coach

Factory Link As Promised Cheers Rog
  2. Just been on the Lego Factory website uploading a couple of LDD models and have noticed that the maximum purchase of your own designs is now up to 25 per customer. I'm pretty sure the limit was only 3 before? Might be useful to someone! Cheers Rog
  3. I was limited by the fact that the only baseplate available currently in LDD is a dark grey studded plate. Originally, I built it just on the baseplate but then decided to recreate the road plate as best as possible - and still keep the price reasonable hence the reason for not tiling everything! If I did order it, I have enough spare straight road plates to be able to give it the justice it deserves! Just need to drop hints to the wife now for my birthday later this month... Cheers Rog
  4. That's a really good likeness. I'd be interested to know how much it prices at? It also seems to be on about the same scale as the coach I did on LDD a month or so ago: Van Hool They'd make a great pair in real life! Nice one! Cheers Rog
  5. I've been playing about this afternoon with LDD trying to recreate some 1980s/1990s Town sets. I've had better success with some than others (lack of car bases and car roofs proving an issue!). One set that required neither of these was the 379 Bus Station. This was my first Lego set and I still have it. I don't think that this LDD model is a bad likeness. Cost through Factory would be £32 - Very tempting! I have done some sympathetic upgrades of some parts (minifigs, minifig seats, front lights and grille on the bus, etc). What do you think? Cheers Rog
  6. Makes you wonder if there was some kind of promo or hookup in the pipeline that never happened?? I have this set and I really like it. It works well with either the new City sets or with my older 1980s/1990s sets. I actually like the use of the old style car base and mourned the day that these became exitinct the first time round (c1990). Thanks for the review! Cheers Rog

This is a great MOC and reminds me sooooo much of the MOCs I used to do when I was younger. I used to do building after building with amazing detailed interiors and no roofs. Hotels, police headquarters, etc, etc. Great stuff. It was just a shame that I didn't have a camera at the time! Thanks for this amazing memory jerk! Cheers Rog
  8. What could you do? The possibilities are endless!! 1. You can stand them in a line 2. Stand them in a circle 3. Stand them in a square 4. Sit them all down 5. Sit some of them down and leave some standing up (adult supervision may be necessary for TFOLs attempting this one) 6. Take them all apart and scatter the pieces like some kind of huge space mine has gone off 7. Yeah, Ok. That's probably enough for now Seriously, I love all the sets of minifigs from all the different themes and this is a great one. I always wanted them when I was a kid but never did. My focus always was on Town sets (petrol stations and police sets please stand up) and there was never enough pocket money left over for space. Sigh! You are so lucky to have this great set! Thanks for sharing Cheers Rog
  9. Ah sure, I know The Rower. Just on the wrong side of the border if I'm not mistaken! I've used the R700 thousands of times on my to and from Kilkenny. Nice part of the old country - But just a bit hilly for my liking!! How's this? EB Glossary Cheers Rog
  10. A great review with lots of good details and some nice funny touches (I particularly like the Oh Oh when the gun is turned on the viewer!). I think that people are only mentioning the pictures because the rest of the review is such high quality which means that they do stand out. Please take comments like this constructively as this is how they are meant. I can see from other shots that the quality is good but the close-up shots are all very blurry. You will either have a macro setting (normally a flower icon as Skipper said) or possibly you need to touch your capture button to set the focus before you press it again to take the picture. Best thing is to have a look in the manual or just have a play with the camera and compare the results. Anyway, thanks again for the great review. Cheers Rog
  11. I cover my Lego with Tesco Value bed sheets. What's a slater? Cheers Rog
  12. Oh! Makes sense now! However, I wasn't aware of any withdrawl or shortage. Always seems plenty on Bricklink when I've looked for them and haven't noticed any missing from any sets I've recently bought. Cheers Rog
  13. Hi Graham and welcome. You don't say where in SE Eire you're from? I'm originally from New Ross (Co Wexford) although now living in the UK. Cheers Rog
  14. That'd be good - I'm not sure what we're on about either.. Cheers Rog
  15. My point exactly - It sucks! Cheers Rog
  16. I agree about the car doors. I haven't got any green ones (don't think I've seen any? - Cue all those who know better than me ). Cheers for the feedback! Rog
  17. I'm not such a big fan of drawbar artic trucks so I have rebuilt my 7733 truck into a regular artic. All done using only the pieces that came with the set with the exception of a 2x2 turntable to connect the trailer to the cab (the turntable that comes with 7733 is too thick and didn't look right). Green brick looks a bit odd but that's mainly because I haven't put the stickers on. The other side looks the same! However, I think that the truck looks much beefier and better proportioned - Even though I haven't alterted the cab itself in any way. Thoughts, opinions, criticisms all gratefully received! Cheers Rog
  18. Hadn't seen this one before. I like the trolley for the stretcher instead of the normal folding legs. The set also appears to include a dead butler... Cheers Rog
  19. We all understand what Ross says; it's always "we were on a break!" Cheers Rog
  20. How do you deal with dusting them?? It's the only thing that puts me off permanently displaying my sets on shelves... Great collection though. See plenty of my favourites and a lot from my collection up there! Nice one! Ooops! Better keep quiet about my collection or I'll end up getting roped in too! Cheers Rog
  21. What can you do if you've been using LDD then Lego release a patch removing pieces and you can no longer upload or price your existing sets? How can tell which pieces are no longer available in Factory without practically starting again? Cheers Rog
  22. This is the only picture I have at the moment: It is uploaded to Factory if you search for username rojariggs you'll find it... Aye. Born in Dublin. Spent my formative years in New Ross (Co Wexford). Moved to the UK with my Dad's job during my teens. Now live and work in Hertfordshire. Miss the old country but the missus (a Brit) will never move away from her family! Cheers Rog
  23. I did one a couple of months back. It's a British Rail/Network South East EMU kind of based on a Class 365. Fairly accuately reproduced the red/white/blue colour scheme that was in use when these trains were new. Not sure how to paste a link to it on Factory though... Cheers Rog
  24. So, it's decided then. EB will remain in English for the next 22 years and then we can decide whether to chage to Chinese, Spanish or Irish. Cheers Rog
  25. Great article! I have just started putting together a Classic Town layout and there are some good tips in there. I definitely need to be more creative when joing road plates together and (currently) the layout is missing a focal point. It will be getting a focal point this afternoon!! Really useful tips. Thanks for doing this! Cheers Rog
