  1. That is a very nice creation!
  2. Thank you for all the kind comments! Great that you like the details, I try to add details for the realism but not to many, I dont want the bikes to look over-done. I want them to look balanced. :) And I'm sorry to dissapoint you jantejeuh - but my bikes wont get any Chrome on them, not my cup of tea. ;) Besides - Bricksonwheels does that so good already, hard to compete with! Darsedz - you got a good point there, some additional wheels for variation would be nice, different styles and withds(spelling?). You got the ones from set 8420, but those are becoming really expensive...:/ And of course like you said, a part to use as fender, that doesnt look huge and out of place...
  3. I present to you the turbocharged red light racer - Frenzy! When I saw the Lego-Set: 70724 containing the golden wheels I knew that I had to build a bike with them. With this build I wanted to broaden my previous styles a bit. This bike got a red frame, with black forks and swing arm to give it a bit more contrast than my earlier builds. I've been experimenting with a turbocharged bike for some time, but it has been hard to get it to look right. To get it to look realistic, I wanted all the tubing to be in the right place, and that was quite challenging to say the least... I'm also very keen to get the lines as clean a flowing as possible, I hope I was able to catch that feeling - of a sleek, fast-looking machine. :) The broad-angle V-Twin engine is placed in the frame with an slight offset to the right. This is necessary because I wanted to be able to get a clean look off the exhaust-manifold, turbo, down-pipe, pressure-tube and the intercooler. The second reason is that i wanted to keep the bike as narrow as possible with the (imagined) weight as close to the center for better handling. The tubing from the intercooler continues below the tank between the double frame all the way to the intake. I tried to be as realistic as possible! Im also quite happy with the front brake calipers. And I hope you approve of the little color/detail I added with the Green Cotton air-filter and oil-filter Cheers! Btw, You can also see this bike and my other ones on my Flickr: https://m.flickr.com/#/photos/107288644@N07/
  4. Very, very nice job. I got the original and I must say you enhanced it prefectly - no need to change anything. Great work!! I've been thinking about doing the same kind of makover on an other Model Team set, you got me even more eager to begin that build now... :)
  5. Very nicely done my friend! As a dedicated rallyfan this Moc really tick all the boxes. The 037 is a iconic Group b beast and you´ve captured its essence perfectly!
  6. Thank you for your kind words! Dito your bikes, darsedz! For you guys that haven't seen them - take a look! :) http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=88686#entry1743598 http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=86548#entry1690412 Thank you, interesting to here that you like the stand as it has recieved mixed thoughts. Haha! Well you see, there is use for just about every Lego part.. :P Oh my, thank you! :) I bow my head for that comment. Happy to here you appreciate a build in a theme, that you normally doesn't take that much notice of. I on the other hand cannot understand the reception I've got on this build. :) Apperantly its also been blogged at: http://thelegocarblog.com/ too.. 0_o..
  7. Thank you for all the nice comments! :)
  8. Lipko, you definitely got a point there. And maybe, even if I had a rear rim from the 8420 set infront of me I would't use it anyway. Because as you say - it cannot be too wide - ruins the look completely The model itself is not that fragile but it would of course not hold up for a rougher play-date with a 5-year old... But for me its not a problem since my models are intended for display purpouses only. Glad you like it, took me some time to figure that one out - had a couple of other solution before this one but they were all to bulky.
  9. Thank you for your kind comments. :) I agree that the rear wheel could be wider, sadly there is only one ever produced (8420) and I haven't been able to acquire any to a descent price so far, but hopefully in the future. Thanks, well to answer your question shortly - an unhealthy amount of Bricklink orders. I really appreciate that you like the look of it!
  10. Hi there! This is my first post in the Town section, I have posted some creations (motorcycles) over in the Model Team/ Technic forum but this is unexplored territory.. :) As I child in the 80:s one of my absolute favourites was the 4- Wheelin Truck - it sat in box assembled even in my dark ages. One day I found it, and also found out when I stumbled upon the instructions that I had modified to my liking at the age of say 8-9 years. This is what it looked like then, and still do today: Now as and AFOL - I wanted to tribute this awesome model from Lego with and updated version of - what it maybe could have looked if released today. I give you the 4-Wheelin truck of the 21st century - complete with a V6 - turbocharged engine, hidden [due to the lack of space] intercooler and detailed intake system.. ;) Hope you like it! And some comparison shots of them together: Cheers!
  11. Here is my latest motorcycle. I've been building this on and off since October last year and it has finally reached a state where I feel I can present it to the public. The goal of this build was to use a more uncommon color combination seen in other Model Team/Technic builds - especially motorcycles. I also wanted to combine a classic chopper look with old style front suspension and a soft tail - that would not interfere with a clean and sleek look. I must admit it offered some challenges...;) The bike features a [fake] V-Twin engine with chain drive, and of course the mentioned suspensions front and rear. That is about it, no fancy features at all. Simple yet effective - in my own humble opinion. I hope you like it! Cheers!
  12. That is really awesome - looking forward to see it in the "flesh" - sorry plastic... ;)
  13. The Buggy, THE Buggy! Simply awesome! :)
  14. Oh well, tomorrow is long past due... Took me almost a year to update this thread but here is version 2.0 of the Tracker: Pictures also available on my flickrpage: http://www.flickr.com/photos/107288644@N07/
  15. And I checked out your thread for the exactly the same reason! :) I admire how you and other people manage to include so many mechanical features on the bikes. I guess that is way so many engineers like technic..;) I find that the to be the biggest challenge when building bikes. To implement them without screwing up the esthetics. In a car you can (often) hide the stuff you don't want to show under bodywork, and leave the parts you want to get focus on, and let them be a part of the esthetics to the complete model.
  16. Hands down the most awesome bike made in Lego, even though the Dyna Glide is not a favourit...:) The details are just stunning. My hat is off sir!
  17. Thank you, yes I´m really happy how the idea with the flex cables turned out..:) Thank you all for your kind comments and support. :)
  18. For those of you that are interested in supporting on Cuusoo - here is the link: http://lego.cuusoo.com/ideas/view/50915 :)
  19. Thank you for your kind words - really appriciated! Well no, its not based on an actual motorbike - its my own design. With that said it will for sure have similarities to other motorbikes since I've been gathering inspiration for this creation. :) I feel very grateful that you did come over here - and thank you for your comment! I´ll ride on - count on it! :D (My Triumph Tiger Explorer will get some treatment during the winter..) ;)
  20. I'll post the link as soon as its "live" Thanks guys! :)
