    I think LEGO should have made the Water Gate set as a smaller, $25 set with Tauriel, Kili (in barrel), an orc, and Bolg. The build would have been modular, with pins on both ends. Then it could be connected to MEA walls. I would have liked that. I also think TLG should have made a Thranduil'd Throne set. It would've been $12 and included Thranduil and the orc he interrogates (Fimbul?). Legolas would be a nice addition, but TLG hasn't put more than 2 figs in a $12 set yet. This set would have included the little platform with Thranduil's throne. This way Thranduil could be taken out of MEA and replaced with a third orc.

    I really love the shaping of this guy! Reminds me of the little droid Cad Bane had in the Clone Wars TV show for some reason.

    To me the shape is the most important thing. Capture the shape well, then add details and you got yourself a winner.

    Honestly, I don't like the packs with only minifigs. I can't bring myself to buy a set without any parts for MOCs.

    It depends. I think there should be one, but one that's generic enough to be another grunt with a little customization. I'd love for the character to be one that wouldn't otherwise be available, like Eomer in Uruk-hai Army.

    Nice work! Great first MOC, one of the best I've seen! Love the bridge and the tower is almost perfect! Have you considered joining the Guilds of Historica? You'd definitely be welcome in the subforum.
