  1. The aquarium and staircase are my favourite parts. I also like how you've used female minifigures dressed in gowns - this casino looks like somewhere you'd go for a special occasion.
  2. I love this. Using three shades of colours in each housing complex is a great way to show off the spectrum of LEGO colours. The activities going on in the middle of the complex tie the display elements together. What surprises me most is that there is so much colour, but you've managed to bring them together tastefully.
  3. Wonderful build, Lasse. I like how you've captured the magnificance of the Domkirke. Your use of colour for the people and cars breaks up the dominating dark red of the large buildings. Oh and I love your techniques, especially the angled fences and roads (not in line with studs etc).
  4. Wow, I've seen these tubes used inside trees (to support towers of 1x1 rounds or 2 x 2 rounds) but I'd never thought to use them as the trunk themselves. Then again, I didn't know they came in brown. Brilliant idea.
  5. I'm most looking forward to the hot air balloon set. With all the cars these girls drive you'd think LEGO would create a service station - in the meantime I'll just have to build one myself.
  6. I'm pretty sure this is a Lego online exclusive (in Australia, at least) - so you won't find it at any other retailers.
  7. I love this! The use of cheese slopes for a broken window is great. And Lucy/Bianca Lamb's eyes look truly spooky!
  8. I'm glad to hear Lego is continuing with the WV series. It got me out of my Dark Ages.
  9. Fantastic build. I especially like the seesaw at the school.
  10. I love seeing MOC interiors. I especially like your bunk bed, kitchen and room under the stairs (I half expect Harry Potter to be hiding there). And your colour scheme is very tasteful. Well done!
  11. Wow, this is breathtaking. I agree with the others that on the second level it needs more arches, or at least some slivers of solid colour between the large windows to counteract the long band of transparency. But I'm just being picky. I think your build is amazing.
  12. Wow, thanks for the pics Legobrandon. I don't think I've seen the gold stars before (set 41001), and it looks like there's going to be a new electric guitar colour (light aqua?) (set 41004). I'm not a huge fan of Friends, but some of these new sets will definitely be on my shopping list.
  13. I just saw nanoblocks for the first time today, at a local toystore (couldn't bring myself to buy them, I'm a Lego purist). I immediately thought of this post, which I'd lurked on yesterday. The scale makes sense now!
  14. Great review Locutis. And I love your winter village collection Brickus. I'm going to wait until December to put my village together... Right now I'm focusing on building some Halloween style Lego displays
  15. Thanks everyone, for your words of encouragement!
  16. Hi, I'd like to introduce to you my first ever modular MOC. I'm fairly new to Lego so my collection is small. Therefore I think it's only appropriate that my first modular MOC is in the mini modular scale. Please note the studs on the roof (rear view) represent a rooftop garden. I'd appreciate any feedback as I plan to add new creations to my 10230 set over time. Additional photos can be seen on my flickr account http://www.flickr.co.../in/photostream
  17. Wonderful build. I think the colours and scale work well. I'm interested to know what constitutes a quick build too.
  18. What a great idea, I love how you used the microfigs as supports.
