  1. Maybe the B model is published show people that the collection of parts is not limited to just one model. I don't normally build the A models (I don't like following instructions) but when I do I will change the colour and a few details to make it more interesting. I don't really understand why people buy a lego set then just display it. The models get dirty and sundamaged - It is a waste of parts that could be used for MOCing. 8070 White by jamesjtillson, on Flickr 8070b Black by jamesjtillson, on Flickr 42038b (in white and with wheels on a modified 42005 chassis) 42038b by jamesjtillson, on Flickr
  2. Pretty sure my spoilt friend got one before everybody else and his just had springs like the ones shown on the instruction book and box (http://brickset.com/...0-1/Car-Chassis). However, it was 34(ish) years ago so I will bow to your superior knowledge. I got my copy a year later and it had shocks. Ironic that the competition won't allow non-Lego parts as the winner gets to fit a non-Lego part (the SBrick) as the prize.
  3. Early edition of 8860 had springs on axels. Track down a set of those and nobody could complain.
  4. Use the chassis from 8081 or 8048. They are both very easy to add the PF parts to.
  5. What are those white 11946 & 11947 panels doing on the front?
  6. LMAO at the video - well done!!
  7. Tinted snow goggles ready? The LDD file is finished. It is only 117Kb which feels a bit small for a 722 part model. LDD file doesn't include the stand but I expect most people on here could build it just by looking at a few pictures. PM me your email if you want it.
  8. These are the parts I didn't need. Shuttle 5 by jamesjtillson, on Flickr I spent 2 hour today on the LDD file and It is nearly done. I'm happy to share the file but I don't want to spend any more time time making step by step instructions - all those white parts have left me snow blind. I think this would be very hard for somebody else to build, the landing gear is easy enough but the doors and the arm/satellite need to be set up just right to start and finish in the right place.
  9. 3648 is the same size but it doesn't "slip" to save damage to parts if anything goes wrong or gets stuck.
  10. I built the shell first (it practically built itself in about an hour) making stuff move took quite a bit longer. Shuttle4 by jamesjtillson, on Flickr
  11. Wouldn't take much to turn it in to a Concorde.... The LDD file is 90% complete so sharing instructions is possible, if I ever find time to finish the file. Shuttle 4 by jamesjtillson, on Flickr
  12. Shuttle 1 by jamesjtillson, on Flickr Shuttle 3 by jamesjtillson, on Flickr Shuttle 2 by jamesjtillson, on Flickr Video shows an older, less finished version, but the functions are the same. The 3 main rocket control the functions: Centre rocket opens the bay doors Right rocket lower/raises the wheels Left rocket lifts the satellite and opens up the solar panels I still think the wings look a bit heavy but I'll call it finished (for now)
  13. Like this? 8041 Castrol by jamesjtillson, on Flickr The problem with being a re-seller is that lego sometimes re-issue sets or put out a better version. If I had any 8041 left I would have shifted them as soon as I saw the 1h 2015 set list. 8041 still sells for £70 on ebay UK and if you paid under retail (£40) you can still make a little on your sets. I'm hoping 8081 makes a return in 2016.
  14. Added lots of white.... 42036 White by jamesjtillson, on Flickr 8051 in white (shame about the tank being blue) lego 090 by jamesjtillson, on Flickr 8420 looks good in lime green. 8420 Green by jamesjtillson, on Flickr
  15. Looks like the M Motor is out of production, it is "SOLD OUT" on UK S@H.
  16. lego 007 by jamesjtillson, on Flickr The colour scheme probably took longer than the design, I used 10196 as inspiration. I just wish it made the carousel music (like in the video) instead of the constant whine from the M motor. The 32269 is fixed so it turns the four cranks and makes the horses go up and down as the carousel turns. Carousel 5 by jamesjtillson, on Flickr Spoils the fun when you see how simple it is. It has been on Cuusoo (now lego ideas) for a year and only has 22 votes.
  17. I have enjoyed checking out all the amazing technic MOCs on this site. I thought I should share some of mine, starting with my small carousel. Carousel 1 by jamesjtillson, on Flickr Carousel 2 by jamesjtillson, on Flickr Carousel 3 by jamesjtillson, on Flickr
  18. Argos have the new F1 racer 42000 for £80. Some folks are trying to sell these on ebay for £200+
  19. Lego S@H sale on, but all the good stuff is sold out.
  20. http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Search/searchTerms/TECHNIC.htm ahhhh - no stock J
  21. ^^^ and once again, argos have very litle stock. 9394 Jet Plane is £14.99! J
  22. Is tomorrow Brick Friday? J
  23. I just got 3x Vampyre Castle 9468 for £120 at argos. There would be many more bargins if they only had the stock. Happy hunting. J
  24. Lots of bargins on this site: www.waeplus.co.uk/product/1251304/LEGO-Technic---Motorized-Excavator---804 8043 about to go out of production, could be worth putting a few away until next christmas. J
