  1. I wasn't. I genuinely couldn't make sense of what he said. It was a bit convoluted. Yeah, but that would then draw people's attention to the person who wanted to slow people down, which it has. It would basically be scum-suicide. A townie would risk it, however, in order to help ensure mistakes are avoided.
  2. Well, strictly speaking you won't have much choice but to take it, as you'll be lynched ()
  3. I assure you that I am simply reacting to the revelation you just brought to the table. Despite the fact that my good-natured intentions have placed me in prime position to be lynched I myself am also just as keen to nail whoever killed our good Captain, although as I have stated I wish to be as cautious as possible so we don't regret anything. That said, my confidence in my suspicions of Robbins is growing.
  4. Blimey, now that you mention it I see what you mean. That, coupled with the private message, certainly marks Robbins as suspicious in my eyes.
  5. Perhaps I didn't explain it fully. I was in a rush to perform my nursing duties, so excuse me. What I meant was that if I were scum, why would I be pushing for everybody to calm down and stick to what we know, when it would be best if everybody else kept on throwing around accusations and pointing the finger at other people, thus drawing the attention away? I want to make sure we don't make a fatal mistake here and wrongly vote off one of the crew. With the possibility of there being scum within our ranks it's important to remain cautious at all times.
  6. Point taken, Suzy. Speaking of laundry, any ideas how we're going to get these nasty blood stains out of the late Captain's jumpsuit?
  7. I believe he was pointing out that appealing to emotions is not necessarily a a scummy tactic if our Admiral uses it, but McAndrews has already explained why this is not exactly a great example.
  8. I never joke about my job, sir. I appreciate the internet is hard to interpret. I'll utilise emoticons more, if that helps
  9. I hardly think that encouraging people to calm down is a sign of guilt - if I were not a Loyalist, why would I be requesting that we look at facts? Surely then I would be caught out, if I were the guilty man. Which I am most certainly not. I'm just worried that we make a mistake - you are right, this is life and death, in which case we'd best make sure we're right in our actions, because the consequences of failure are very, very permanent.
  10. I have to agree with that. Once more, please, Robbins?
  11. Other than a couple of crew members fluffing around, no. Nobody, in my opinion, has given much away at all other than some confusion. I think it's certainly far to early to be hounding people just yet - as far as I'm aware not everybody had even arrived yet. As my superior Dr. Julius said earlier, cool heads are needed to assess this mess we find ourselves in, for with an atmosphere this heated we are far more likely to end up voting off some poor, innocent crew mate than getting it right and squashing some scum. It seems to me that all this speculation is getting to people's heads. I strongly suggest we focus on the facts as they are presented to us for the moment. If we all keep calm and pool our knowledge we may get somewhere, as opposed to pointing fingers in people's faces. Now if you don't mind, I've got more bed linen to wash...
  12. Well excuse me, I didn't quite realise how high tensions were! As one of the ship's nursing staff I should probably check your blood pressure. Another time, maybe. It seems that baseless accusations are the soup of the day, and if I'm honest judging by how hot on everybody's heels you have been I'm inclined to place my suspicions on you, McAndrews. There seems to be no logic or analysis to your lynching of the crew other than what I perceive to be a sense of paranoia. I'm not at all ready to place my vote yet, but it seems to me as if you're hiding something, perhaps..
  13. It seems to me, if I may interject, that you folks are throwing around a lot of accusations based on what others have said, despite the fact that the shock of uncovering death may not have worn off yet. How about we all just cool it a bit and perhaps take a more logical approach - who wants coffee....? ...Or alternatively, we could explore a bit and perhaps try to find some actual physical clues. I've a feeling that might help us figure things out more than lynching our crew mates.
  14. Let me through, let me through! Oh, dear God... The bed sheets! They were just clean on - now I must change them again!
  15. Lt. Joshua Wright reporting in from the med bay!
  16. I know! Work and other hobbies got in the way of my Lego building for at least half a year, so I wasn't even able to build, let alone log many hours on the site. I've got some time off over the summer though, which means plenty of time for Eurobricks games!
  17. This mafia sounds like a lot of fun! 1.) I was in MOTEE (survived until the end), Ditalini MM (died in chapter 3), Noir Mafia (died in chapter 2), Imperial Soldier's Mafia (died along with the other survivors at the end) and EBRP (discontinued). 2.) Space is our future. There is simply nowhere else to go but up. 3.) 5 - all it takes is a bit of imagination!
  18. maydayartist is a nice guy, I suggest you just drop him a message via PM or in his thread and you'll get an answer soon enough ~A.S.
  19. With these babies, I think. They're great for making structures that don't conform to the usual Lego grid, from ship hulls to octagonal towers. Hope that helped! ~A.S. EDIT: on closer examination it looks like he's used 1x2 jumper plates to offset the faces of the tree by 1/2 a stud. Any luck with that?
  20. I've put a little link to Peeron scans of the instructions at the top Thanks very much, and I'm glad this review sparked a little something! ~A.S.
  21. I visited Looe last summer so I recognised this instantly! Lovely work DC, the brickwork is fabulous and the colours are so calm. ~A.S.
  22. Did a review of 6054 Forestmen's Hideout here. 6066 Camouflaged Outpost coming soon. ~A.S.
  23. Set name: 6054 Forestmen's Hideout Year of release: 1988 Minifigures: 2 Pieces: 201 RRP (according to Brickset): $17.50 (about £15.00) Bricklink Catalogue Entry Peeron Instructions Bricklink Parts List Hullo, traveller! My name is AwesomeStar - forest ranger - and this is my review of a classic Castle set, 1988's 6054 Forestmen's Hideout! This review is part of what may end up as a series of comprehensive reviews of the vintage castle sets that we all know and love. Enjoy! The Instructions To kick things off, here is the front of the instructions, showing off the set and construction of the minifigures... ... and a random page. Note how it is all done from one angle. This can make building tricky, but who doesn't love a challenge? The Minifigures Ah! Here I am joined by the leader of the tree-folks, Robin Hood. Hullo! Smile for the camera Robin! Here you can see the simplistic style of early Castle designs. Isn't it lovely? Give that bum a wiggle! (No backprinting in them days!) Accessories The many accessories in this set - 2 spears, a flag, archery butt, barrel (and two "gold" nuggets), a sword, a bow and a quiver But let's not forget those wonderful printed shields! Mmmmmm... *falls off chair* And a close-up of that gorgeously printed rare archery 2x2 round tile Lastly, here are the two trees included in this set - a small spruce tree and a large spruce tree. It's worth noting that both these trees and the ones included in other sets I have from the era are made of a more squishy plastic compared to newer ones, which are not flexible at all. Swaying in the breeze, perhaps? The Set Here is an overview of the set open... ...closed... ...and half-open Without minifgures Fully extended (front) Fully extended (back) Front (closed) Front (roof open) - note the architecture of the windows Back (closed) Left side (closed) Right side (closed) Extra Pieces There are two feathers of two different types for each plume colour in this set. When bought new, these would be attatched to a small round spoke wheel to keep them safe The Verdict What can I say, the set is an absolute dream. Despite never getting to experience them first hand I have always loved these early Castle sets. They capture their setting so well in such a cute, simple way. The Forestmen line is one of my favourite Lego themes ever and this set is certainly one of the best in that theme. Boasting a wide range of accessories, an attractive model and two superb minifigures (one with the rare white plume), 6054 stands out as one of the most memorable sets of the late 1980s, and will always have a place in my brick-built heart. Design: 10/10 - attractive and cute-looking, the set also has an easily accessible interior and lots of details, such as the stone balcony and the secret entrance through the tree trunk round the back. It comes across perfectly as a shady little treehouse perfect for hiding in from the nasty knights. Playability: 9/10 - the vines enable the minifigures to have a lot fun swinging wildly around the tree, and the included barrel of gold and archery butt provide exciting storylines such as 'hide the treasure' and 'who's the best shot?'. Minifgures: 8/10 - lovely printing on both figures, however the white-plumed forestman could have done with his own set of bow and arrows. Another figure (perhaps a Lion Knight, to add some conflict) wouldn't have gone amiss either. Parts: 9/10 fantastic variation of accessories, and plenty of tree and foliage parts to keep any landscape or castle builder happy. Overall: 9/10 - simply sublime. I got this set for about £15 from an eBay seller. If you see it, get it! Well, that concludes this review of 6054 Forestmen's Hideout. Next up is 6066 Camouflaged Outpost! It's good night from him... ...and it's good night from him! Good night! ~A.S.
  24. Love the stonework and architectural details, just the right amount of 'flair' without being overbearing. Also the foliage adds character to the creation wonderfully. Fantastic job, looking forward to seeing more from you ~A.S.
  25. Unlikely but still something of a co-incidence. Who'd want to bring down the Lego community down? Have we been p***ing off the Mega Brands crowd again? ~A.S.
