<Please note, I have changed the Guard Captain's Special Damage, it is too over-whelming.> Round 1 Battle of the Plains Tensi v. Guard Captain B - Critical Hit Hans v. Guard Captain C - Miss Felton v. Guard H - Miss Skrall v. Guard C - Damage Dyric - Retrieve Knife Haldor v. Though Tesni easily slices through her target, Hans and Felton both miss, and Skrall is hit by the tip of a blade (-3). Dyric successfully retrieves his knife, dodging through bodies, both alive and dead, and Haldor sustains a gash on his leg, bleeding freely (-4). The heroes are now in the thick of the battle, and the blades, axes, and pikes stabs at them from every side. No hero is Ko'd, but many cling to life only barely. Maybe if you posted a battle order you could back to the training hall.
-
What a cool design. It looks like a good MOC, and what's more, it looks like it would be a ton of fun to play on!
-
I believe (unless you're knocked out) that you'll make it to 15 by the end of the quest.
-
Simply: yes. I'm screwing up a lot on the Quest with careless mistakes, but I do promise you, once you nag me about things once (or maybe twice) they will be fixed permanently.
-
What's more, the people who could not target you could not do it over a number of nights. You are the only person who has had these results returned. No one else (correct me if I'm wrong) makes actions "unsuccessful". Bluto failed two separate nights, and Batman and The Thing failed the same night. You can not believe the scum are getting that lucky.
-
I don't think (and of course, this may be because I'm out on a Quest currently) that it would be an awful idea to take a break from posting new quests for a week or two. It would give heroes a chance to get back to the hall, maybe change up who they're questing with, and for everyone to recharge their batteries! I don't know, just a thought.
-
Friday we'll reach the 2 month mark of my quest. I believe that was my predicted length! Not terrible, we're almost done (...3 more battles... I think! ) As always, thanks for sticking with me heroes, I'm excited what you think when it's all over. Keep up the effort, it's great fun for me to run this quest, I hope the fun remains for y'all (still stuck in Haddon after 2 months ).
-
It's true. Battles should be tough. Speaking of Quest 21... all our actions are in.

<Basically, a number of your troops are off fighting other guards (so you'll lose some of them, I have a fair system, don't worry ) and once you flee, which ever side has the most left over troops has won the battle! > Round 1 Battle of the Plains Tensi v. Captain A - Critical Hit Hans v. Guard D - Critical Hit Felton v. Guard C - Shield Skrall v. Guard B - Shield Dyric v. Guard K - Miss Haldor v. Guard A - Critical Hit Free Hits G on Tesni (-1) H on Hans (-6) I on Felton (-6) J on Skrall (-3) The battle commences, and for the first time in a long time, the party works almost perfectly. Tesni cracks open her foe's head with ease, and Hans likewise pierces his opponent's chest. Felton dodges his opponents (would heal, but at perfect health) and Skrall, the victorious, stead-fast Skrall, lets loose a volley of arrows, killing not only Guard B, but Guards E and F as well. Dyric is the only member of the party to receive bad luck, and his throwing knife flies off into the battle. Haldor swings his rod and cracks a skull. The heroes are literally flung back by the flow of the battle, after their first round, and the remaining Guards use the oppurtunity to call reinforcements and score a few free hits on the heroes. That's quite alright. Barty is a whelp, I don't think he'd be seen as a full grown angel yet. I have something to represent him with, I just haven't updated Boomingham to his paladin picture yet (I have to figure out a way to attach him two swords to him, and to hang the angel in the air). But thank you for the offer . Cronk, welcome to the Paladin order buddy.

Vote: Nicholas Hoare (Fugazi) I was suspect of you before I knew who you were. Magilla has not been trusted in my books. Nicolas is correct in saying, however, that people "verified" should not be trusted blindly. Especially those upholding Mehmet's legacy. If Nicolas is not scum... we must look at them with more scrutiny tomorrow.

"You can rub it in my nose all you like, elf, I sometimes like to play it safe." Boomingham focuses his attack on Guard A from the front row.

Perhaps we should ram it through the 4th wall and try to murder the sassy voice. He complains when we don't do stuff and then makes fun of our attempts when we do stuff. I'd love a clue, as I have yet to receive one, but if that's not the way the group is swinging, then alright. I learned to go with the flow in my semester abroad during college, in Japan studying Indian architecture.
-
<No. Just do what the quest tells you. >
-
"Ha! We do not spy like our enemy. We do not know how many troops they have, but we are sure that they will have many, more than we will have. They are simple guards though. They have no magic wielders, and no beasts." <Exactly!>

Challenge Begin
-
*Sylvia meditates on the last few days, but might have missed a few things, so she's going to do it again shortly.* *In the meantime, she sprays the wall-plants, because maybe they want a drink, and why the hell not.* *Suddenly feeling more sure of herself, Sylvia goes over to the dry leaves from chapter two and waters them. They had bricks under them and stuff. She was right all along.* I took a flower arrangement class. That's how I know that plants need water.
-
*Sylvia takes God's hint and walks out the front.* Well, since we have had to use everything else, I suggest that we use our toy truck here to spray water on all the knobs we were playing with yesterday. At the very least, it should clean them, as they're now covered in blood and spittle and who knows what else. I do hate dirty knobs.
-
Peppermint-M, I never readjusted your stats for when you changed back to your Darkness sword. That was my problem, and I'm sorry. On an unrelated note: Sandy, you are a great example of "practice makes perfect". Your two current quests are very, very entertaining to read. They have great pictures, a great cast of characters, and awesome battles, as well as a number of different types of puzzles. It is a lot of fun, and I am loving both of them. They feel very "epic" to me, the heroes are exploring a lot, meeting many people, and really doing a lot.
-
I'm dumb, you're right, you pointed it out in the Quest too. I read it and took note of it, and then failed to correct it. My apologies, I'm off to fix it now.
-
Very cool! Zoomed out, it does look even better! The eyes are perfect, and the shadow from the eye almost to the mouth is also very nice. The smoke curling around his face (coming up behind him, that is) works very well for the composition. Near the cigar, everything gets very black, if you had added in different dark tones, that may have helped the shape a little, (you did it with the other shadows, but not so much there). Over-all, well done, easily recognizable!
-
"I do not wish our charge to be hurt, but you are correct madam elf, he does have a chance of killing our strongest foe. But the chances of that are not high, so I will not be changing my target." Boomingham smiles at the elf, and winks. He hopes that she too knows that mages are unreliable, and that the party must not expect too much out of Octavian.
