  1. The room's coloring is beautiful, and I love the train/teddy bear, along with the name on the door, it gives "TIMMY" a personality. It looks like he was dragged under the bed by monsters, which is probably not the fear you were addressing and more light-hearted. Just how I took it. Wonderful build!!!
  2. Also, sometimes villains just get away. Let Wren remind you, heroes aren't perfect, and are relatively small.
  3. OoC: If I get a shield/critical hit/hit, you can just roll the next round! Boomingham swats at Barty. "Step aside, kiddo." Boomingham continues his attack.
  4. "You ready Barty?!" Boomingham lunges at his enemy from the front row with the King of the Desert.
  5. Dumb, dumb, dumb. That's aimed at me . You're right, ranged should still do total damage. Let me fix it one more time!
  6. Go read a book.
  7. Not at all! I think everyone should have to QM before they're allowed to knock a Quest Master, it's very challenging, there's a lot to keep track of and a fair amount of pressure. Look at me, I try to update regularly and quickly, and generally screw something up! That being said, promptness as a QM is fairly important. Just bear it in mind, if there are breaks every once in a while, that's fine (you do have a life) but most weeks people expect at the very least a daily update.
  8. Also, Sisco, I wouldn't worry to much about Jess, she's a great character, if not too heavily rougish! WBD, sorry for the confusion. Should you fill out the survey as your "character" and see if they chose the right class, or fill it out as you and see if you're playing who you should play? Sisco... not to push, but it's been three days, and you seem pretty active. A quest update would be nice, but I understand if it's a lot. Sometimes I dread updating quests (especially with big confusing quest... why do I keep doing this to myself ).
  9. <Sorry, I said a while ago I changed the stats of the captains, their special only targets one hero (or these battles would be impossible). I must not have changed the actually written one, sorry. As for free hits, in battles (and I have omitted this rule since no one called me on it ) but I have set it up so free hits are a minimum of -1, or else people would be literally invincible, and I didn't want to hike up the stats of the oppenents too much, or it would be too hard of a hit. Dyric back-rowed it .>
  10. It's a good thing you did. Not only is it important that we have at least ONE original still around, but I can say that Boomingham and I agree that Nyx is one of our favorite characters. She's consistently played, a good companion, and fun to joke around with.

Tesni lunges at her target, but he sidesteps and shoves her forward, slicing her back as she passes (-10). Hoke fares much better, and slashes his foe across the face, making a deep gash running above the left eye and ending on the right cheek (-35). Jess and McColt, now used to fighting together, fight back to back, but neither is able to hit their targets. Hans has much better luck and stabs Rebel B fatally in the stomach. He laughs as the man falls and blood runs down his sword. Rebel Felton and Guard Felton, still eyeing each other distrustfully, fall into the fray. Rebel Felton's aim is true, and his rapier slices through Rebel C, while Guard Felton is justled by the massive number of bodies fighting, and does not get his sword up fast enough. Rebel E catches sight of Skrall loading an arrow and charges at him. Skrall, expecting to be protected, is shocked when the Rebel slides a sword into his stomach. Skrall elbows the guard in the face, knocking him aside before the sword goes very deep, but the pain is still there (-3). Dyric throws his dagger from the back row (21 damage) and then snatches the purse off a already fallen guard (+21). Poletad can only distract his target, and Haldor gets punched in the face, and blood starts to pour from his nose (-6). 12. The heroes all step to the guard's side, and Hans and Rebel Felton follow suit. They then follow McColt through the mountains and arrive in the middle of a battle. It is clear the Vonnetate never expected to win the other battles, and had saved a number of his own Pogs for this final assault. The guards do their best to fight the Pogs... but there is still a massive amount of Pogs for the heroes to deal with. 13. "Technically, this war was coming either way. You just all got tangled up in it for the witch's sake." "We have agreed to fight in this final battle and then we'll sort out which one of us you should trust." "Both I and this impostor are acting like me. I will prove to you when this battle is over that I am the true Felton, but for the time being, I am sensible and he is pretending to be sensible, to mimic me, and we know that we must put aside our differences until this final battle has been fought." "Of course, my dearest. I have much to talk to you all about, and many questions to answer. But if you want to save any lives, drop this silly Felton business and prepare for a final battle, on which ever side you want. Believe it or not, at this point, the side you pick doesn't really matter to me!"
  14. They can indeed post again. Hoke wrote " " in the side quest, but decided to not comment in the real thread. I'm going to hold off until I hear from everyone, clearly this choice is a wonderful character moment! Everyone who has made it so far has played it very well.
  15. However... if one with a SHIELD were to take the smelling salts... they'd be able to blanket the rest of the party from damage by taking up double the amount of free hits.
  16. I totally forgot about that, I'm sorry! I can see how it would look that way, but honestly, sometimes when I get on at 11 PM after being out all day, I think I respond to things that it later turns out, I never responded to. So of course no hard feelings! I think you particularly played a good game! Besides, I'm already a fan of your's, one mafia death can't change that.
  17. Don't recall if I've addressed it. To those who killed me: I get it. Seriously. You all played a great game, and killing me clearly achieved what needed doing. Hosts: Once more, even though I've gushed to you, fantastic game. Seriously stellar. Everything about it. I ALSO, as silly as it may be, did not see Isis and Osiris, but I loved it, and I loved the characters of those two before that too! Fantastic in every way.
  18. Boomingham waits for his challenger to step forward, and as he does so, he downs a mead. Barty, meanwhile, buzzes by Nerwan. "Ha! Barty is not my true name. That silly man, Boomingham, assigned me it. Bartholomew. Bartholomew Boomingham... what a silly name." OoC: Chromeknight, if you have ideas for Barty, go ahead and PM them to me! I don't want to step on your ideas, but I don't want to step on my ideas for Barty yet either. Tell me what you're thinking, and I'm sure I can make it work!
  19. I try to upgrade Boomingham in ways that make sense. He's greedy, so I go for money. He doesn't think much of luck (and I don't like it with my class, it often results in me not hitting anything), so I never buy Nostrum. He's a drinker, and a heavy hitter, so mead make sense. As for his weapons... I have them planned out, what they'll be in the end. He's, in my humble opinion, a pretty smart guy. He knows how to play the game, for lack of a better phrase, namely, if he has chosen to be a hero, he's going to be a hero well, even if sometimes he seems to be a blithering idiot.
  20. The heroes begin to travel towards Vonnetate's forces, with McColt on Skrall's shoulder. They trek through the mountains, and snow begins to blow. Suddenly, they come to a small plateau. They can see far off, down to the town of Haddon, where the people they've been fighting for, or against, bustle. Suddenly, three dark figures appear to their left, trekking down a mountain to the plateau. The heroes cannot take cover, but that does not matter, for just as the heroes notice the figure a small black shape lifts off from one of the figure's shoulders and flies towards the heroes. It is Vipera. <Hail, Skrall. Your friends are returned.> Skrall relays the message to the others just as Sir Poletad hops up. <Hans and I are here, Skrall! After the battle we were swallowed by black mist, but we just awoke, right here!! Well, off a while, but essentially right here!> Hans jogs up to meet the heroes, and they all watch as the three figures, their lost friends, trudge for them. Hoke... Jess... and Felton... The party cries out in shock as they see Felton approach in a full Guard's garb. Suddenly, the Rebel Felton with the party cries out and charges forward, taking out his rapier as he does so. The Guard Felton does the same. They hold each other at sword point. The heroes do not have the time for a tearful greeting. "You... copy! What are you? Are you the creation of Wren?!" "I hadn't thought of that. But clearly, you have. Is that because you are her's?" "No, no, you are her's. She's working with the guard, everyone knows it. You have been misleading Hoke and Jess." "Not true. I don't have any need to mislead Hoke and Jess, they can see what is right, as will the other heroes. As soon as it becomes clear that the Guards are good, and Wren is working with the Rebels, you'll be a goner." Guard Felton raises his voice. "You hear that Wren?! I don't want to talk to your puppet. Your game is up. You're clever, I cannot deny you that, but these heroes will be able to see for themselves that the guards are good and I'm the real Felton." "No, no, you can talk as cleverly as you like, but these heroes know a good cause when they see one. The factory workers that her Chaos Beasts killed... those factories were run by guards. The rebels are fighting for freedom." "Vonnetate is not some righteous leader. The heroes are smart enough to see that. And I hope they will not disrespect me, the real Felton, by thinking that I would side with Vonnetate. I am not that stupid. He is clearly in the wrong. That's why she needed a copy of me! To trick the heroes. She knew that the real Felton would catch on too quickly and bring the heroes with him when he went to the guard! McColt is clearly good. Where is he?!" McColt slides off Skrall's shoulder, shakily getting to his feet. "Oh, good, heroes, here are your friends... they can explain all. My head... Felton... Felton... the reports about the two Feltons... I've... oh, we're all here." Two horns sound in the distance. All the heroes and their companions look to the air as Vipera rises to get a better look. "Those are my horns. My men are preparing for a final stand... those rebels will not cut their loses." McColt turns to the heroes. "You must pick a side. I respect you all, and I understand your confusion... especially these two Feltons. I am no master in witchcraft, and I understand the fear you must feel, but we will deal with them after the battle. For now, you must pick a side to fight on. Either the Rebels or the Guards. I will respect your choice either way, though I will fight with my men. I hope it has become apparent to you which side is the side of good." McColt then turns to the Feltons. "Put down your swords and fight with your sides, men. If the Felton I have been dealing with is acting like the real Felton, be he the real Felton or not... my head hurts. Curse this witchcraft. Both of you are alike, and since I know one of you, I know you'll both be reasonable enough to wait for your fight until this war is over." "I will fight at your side, heroes." Hans looks at the Feltons, uneasily, and then turns to the heroes. "I'm apparently not a good judge of character. I'll stand by your side, heroes." "I must fight alongside the guards. I know you may have been tricked, but I know the side I must side with to remain standing against Wren." Rebel Felton looks ready to retort, but McColt holds up a hand. "I will say it once more, you must be confused. Confer, trade notes, pick a side. On my honor, I will allow you to go free, either by my side to protect the town, or to the Rebels to assist in destroying it. I can't hold it against you either way. I don't know what I would do." "Helloooooo heroes. Thought I'd forgotten you?! We haven't talked in far too long! Good luck dears, you'll be seeing me either way shortly, if you live, of course." What will the heroes do?
  21. Well, I finally read the write board! Hinckley - You know I change up my game every game. I played low this game, yeah, but it's just what I was feeling. You're right in saying I'm a spaz, but I really was frustrated not knowing who anyone was. Without being in the loop I felt like all I could do was follow you and vote with you, and, paranoia (as you talked about a ton) led me to think that in the event that you were scum... well, I wasn't doing much to stop you. I also find it funny I pushed against Goofy so much, and you kept telling me to trust him... it made me think you were scummy, but in fact, you had a 100% legit reason to trust Goofy. FUTHERMORE: listen to me once in a while. I was right in saying Magilla was scum. I said that long ago. Long long ago. It's just like Jesus, I figured out Draggy was scum, and the convoluted way that it happened, and you just didn't listen. As always, it was a pleasure. Def - You'll no longer have to remind me PM'd apologies are meta-gaming, I'll not send you anymore, ya jerk. As always, you were also a pleasure to play with, AND, in the future, even though I don't PM you every time, no matter what side we're on or how much we fight, I respect you so much as a player. So, blanket apology now. As for wanting you dead this game, I thought it would either clear or not clear the investigator... I think. I don't recall, but you just smelled scummy to me, and I thought - info-wise - you'd be better off to us dead. As always, I'll echo others. Tammo, Kiel, Cornelius, Cecile, you all really were fantastic this game. I'll survive one of these things one day.
  22. I'm glad you agree with Boomingham's choice, I quite like him as a paladin. As for questing with Docken... trust me, he's on my (not very) short list of people I want to quest with. My most immediate goals for Quest buddies are Nur and Skrall, just because I've wanted to go with those two for a LONG time. Eric and Tesni are there too, and Hybros, they were Boomingham's friends at the beginning of the game, and I've never gotten to further that. As for Wren quests... well, as I said, we're only 2/5th of the way through. I'm glad she (seems) like a popular character, because she's sticking around for a while. The next one is very planned out, and the two after that have concrete story lines, though they are hardly planned out. However, a lot of her story will be revealed at the end of this quest, and her goals/purpose will become more clear. I'll be interested to see what you all think. She will be taking a back-burner for the next few Wren quests, but then again, she always does.
  23. "I don't know how many Pogs, but I can assure you all the Rebels left will follow him without question."
  24. "You left him with 25 normal soldiers, and 2 captains. You assigned the soldiers, Skrall, so that's how many he has left."
  25. Boomingham grins. "Barty, hop to it boy, you heard the serpent. Patch me up, and then deal with the elf and Octavian... if you must." Boomingham dusts himself off as Barty hovers around him, healing him. "You're weak. Is this the best time to go it alone?" "I've been alone for twenty-something years. Why not now. I... I wish I could think of something heroic to say." "Don't screw everyone over." "Thanks sunshine." Barty darts off to heal the others and Boomingham steps forward to meet the masked individual. He offers his hand, and uses his diplomacy. "I accept your challenge, but I feel it is only fair to warn you of who I am. Two hundred and fifty years into the future, about, I will lead an army that will kill countless trolls and orcs and save many, many lives. Five hundred years into the future, I will be a King in a foreign land who serves the righteous and destroys those who stand in my path. I am a member of the Paladin order, and I serve no god. I don't know if the Paladin Order even exists yet, but they're a scary bunch, believe you me. I can feel my drunkenness leaving my body as I have once more forgotten to pack booze. You must fear me. I am Lord Lawrence Boomingham, King for for now over five hundred years. Fight me if you must, but there is no question that you will lose."
