You can read the answer to that from the post you just quoted.
-
The cards are predetermined, and each card has only one type, no matter of the types of the monster it represents.
-
What lore? If the enemy cannot be modified into a card, nothing happens to the enemy. The battle continues as usual.
-
It's a "card game" I invented for Quest#100. I already gave a link to the related Wiki-page a few posts up, but here it is again.
-
What are you talking about? There are only 100 Decamon cards, while there's are countless different enemies with more added in the game each quest. No, you cannot get two cards out of one monster.
-
You get a Decamon card, of course. The cards can be traded for prizes on certain upcoming quests and events.
-
If the dragon's name was Greater Fire Dragon, then it would be passable. There is no Decamon card for a Fire Dragon, anyway, but nice try. I can give you a hint that most of the monsters on the Decamon cards can be found on the Fields of Glory (not all, though). If the monster is not applicable to be modified, nothing happens.
-
It will affect Upgraded Hit, since it adds to the amount of Tools in the inventory, but not the Shield-skill. Be my guest.
-
It is pretty specific. The name of the monster needs to be the roughly the same as the one on the card. Just any golem cannot be modified, but there are cards for a Stone Golem, a Gold(en) Golem and a Flesh Golem. The picture in the card does not matter as much. You get a monster's health down to 1/4th or less, use the tool on the monster, and if there is a corresponding Decamon card, the monster will transform into it. It will not drop anything else, though. I'm not going to reveal the full list of Decamon cards just yet, so you need to gather info or just work them out by trial and error. You're free to start compiling known cards into the Wiki now.

Heroica RPG - Quest#100: To The Tower of Babel
Sandy replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
"Like I said, she was my insurance. I knew I could trust Eric - his motivations are clear. He is drawn only by blood, booze, money and pussy. Had you or Sarge wanted to take me down, you would have had to go through the harlot, and Eric would not have accepted that. I might be a weakling by Eric's standards, but I am certainly not dumb. I am glad we reached an armistice, though." "A long, long line. A long, long time.We Keepers looked over Babel for over two thousand years, up until the war between the sorcerers. Decades have passed since. Few have dared to visit the Tower during the decades it has been devoid of life. Countess Lyudmila of Fellcrest has come here, mostly for old times' sakes. The undead revel on the past. The witches of Ozmath shun this place because of the anti-magic field. Aside from a selected few. Descendants of the sorcerers that escaped here with their life still remember what power the Tower used to hold. Fading memories. They keep the knowledge to themselves in fear that the power would return. Magic is banned here for a reason. Very few have a reason to come here anymore. No reason." "Don't be getting any ideas now, Althior", Walbartan grunted. The alchemist sighed deeply. "Like I already told you in my workshop, I cannot create bombs without my equipment and workdesk - which I left to Port Taboo. You should have asked me then. Now, can we please begin planting those bombs?" The sun continued to climb up the sky while the party prepared to bring down the Tower. It was the afternoon when two figures entered the inner yard. "It feels strange to return here. I dedicated my whole existence to this Tower for decades. Now it means nothing to me. The life of a golem is a peculiar one, Nur." On their way back from the Mud Pit, Alfred had explained how he could aid Nur in battle by temporarily shielding him from damage. He would have to retreat to recover from the wounds eventually, though. Ellaria didn't agree with Daneeka's enthusiasm. "I apologize for my brashness, but we did not come looking for old ruins. We should investigate further." Ellaria consumes the Ectoplasm while she has the change.

The Fields of Glory are open again! Here's an overview of what has changed: - The Sanctuaries are limited to one rest per party per Sanctuary. Should make grinding the Fields much more of a challenge. - There is going to be a powerful roaming monster hiding somewhere in the Fields. If it is located and defeated, the party will get extra GP and a new title. A new roaming monster will then be released onto the Fields the next time a new party enters it. - Most of the enemies have been updated with a new kind of drop system, where the drop you get depends on a roll of die. The stats have also been readjusted in some cases, some monsters have switched locations, and a whole bunch of new monsters have also been created. There are over 160 different monsters to be encountered in the Fields now. - The challenges have also been somewhat readjusted. - A new prize has been added to be exchanged for Glory Points: 15 GP: Decamodifier (Transforms an enemy with a quarter or less health left into a Decamon card when used, if there is a corresponding card. The monster will not drop anything if it is modified. Tool.) *1 per hero* Hope you will like these changes! The re(in)novation took longer than I expected, but I personally think the Unlimited Quest is now better than ever.

Heroica RPG - Quest#100: To The Tower of Babel
Sandy replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
When Sarge and Eric had moved out of the room, Walbartan put away her knife and pushed Periwinkle after them. "I'm truly sorry, just go. I will stay here with Althior." "Hmpf, I knew you didn't have it in you to kill me" Periwinkle muttered as she dashed after her lover. "That is true", Walbartan said to Althior when they were alone with the Keeper's statue. "She was only a meat shield to prevent you from killing me. What now?" "No regrets. That belongs to another story. I did what I had to. I was the only one left. The last of the Keepers. This tower fell on it's own impossibility. Too much power. Too much ambition. Too many secrets. The Tower's reputation alone managed to protect it all these years. Decades of solitude. It was only a matter of time before someone clever and determined enough came. I am glad you came." Downstairs, the dwarves had finished scouting the floors. "What TOOK ye so long UP thar?" "Mr. Thornback found two pillars from the bottom floor that seem to keep the tower in balance. If we blow them up, it should make the whole building collapse. About 500 points of damage should be enough to burst each pillar... We could plant more bombs on this floor just to be safe. What do you say, shall we get onto it?" "The SOONER ye gemme up from here the BETTER. I swear these SKULLS are staring straight into me SOUL!" What would the party do? Party inside the Tower (the undead golems are waiting outside): Althior Emorith (K-Nut) *Party Leader* 32 years old male human Necromancer Level 42 1/5 *Gain Triple Experience* *Absorbs Earth* *Immune to Petrified* *Unarmed Attacks Absorb Health* *Encouraged* *Hastened* *Lucky* *Blessed* Power: 58 (42+16) Defense: 7 (2+5) Health: 53/53 (5+41+5+1) Ether: 0/57 0 (5+41+5+4+2) Gold: 40 Equipment: Scepter of Divine Affinity (WP:16, Has ⅙ chance to deal Cursed effect on attacks and ⅙ chance to deal Blessed effect on successful healing, Staff), Metal Claw (Unarmed attacks drain health from the enemy equal to 50% of the strength of the attack (rounded up); handwear), Ethereal Cloak (SP:2, Max Ether +4, backwear), Medal of Glory (Wearer earns triple experience, accessory), Robe of the Seneschal (SP:5; wearer absorbs earth-elemental damage and is immune to petrified; suitable to clerics, mages, chi monks, necromancers and scholars; bodywear) Inventory: Weapons: Metasimian Dory (WP:9, pierces defense; spear), Artifacts: The Rat Queen's Cape (Backwear, all Vermin type are Enamored with the wearer for the first three rounds of combat, Suitable for Alchemists, Beast Warriors, Chi Monks, and Witches), Spellbound Gloves (+5 spellpower, Handwear) Spell Items: Diamond (Light), Topaz (Lightning), Amethyst (Darkness) x2, Ruby (Fire), Sapphire (Wind), Garnet (Earth), Opal (Ice), Aquamarine (Water), Emerald (Wood) Consumables: 4 Potions, 8 Tonics, 3 Grand Tonics, 2 Ether Cores, 7 Remedies, 2 Elixirs, Phoenix Incense, Nostrum, Garnet Lamp of Summoning, 2 Grating Stones, Skeleton Decoy, Feather of Lithe (Makes the user nimble for three rounds, giving them a 1/3 chance to completely avoid rolls of COUNTER and DAMAGE and Free Hits.), Feather of Flight (Allows the user to flee from the battle when used.) Please discuss this kind of stuff in Culture & Multimedia -forum. Comparing tv shows or movies of two totally different genres is pointless, though. Different strokes for different folks.

OoC: Oops! Too damn many NPCs to keep track off... "Wait!" Ellaria shouted all of a sudden. "That woman we met before the split... I think I've met her before, with two companions! It was on the road to Brick'lin, over a year ago. They called themselves the Three Witches. What on earth is she doing down here?" She nodded to Deborah. "Maybe we will find the witches behind that wall. Or the demons." Concerning the loot, Ellaria would be satisfied with whatever, as usual.
-
"I met Death, too, on both of the places I went to. The other one had these skeleton men and a darkness that threatened to consume us, and the other one had the child-like creature Hybros mentioned with a monster trying to kill it, claiming the child was sucking its soul." Ellaria shrugged. "Creepy stuff, but nothing that made much sense to me." She then looked at her feet. "I asked Death if he had taken my Elpis to the Afterlife, and he said he was sure he hadn't. Either it was just a cruel trick or then I still have hope in finding her. My daughter might live after all, somewhere." When Ellaria looked back up, she had a smile on her face.

Good to see you back, Mr. Stampede! I've now updated the Heroica RPG Wiki with information about the enemy types. Feel free to add enemies from the quests under their respective enemy types, I've mostly added the enemies from the Fields of Glory now. Regarding that, the Fields of Glory are about to open again soon! Stay tuned!
-
Come on, now you're just being bratty. The rules were created for a reason. If we went with everyone's whims and wants, this game would be a chaotic clutter.
-
OoC: You can't sell unique artifacts on your own. "I'm sorry, Master Dwarf, but I can only give you 20 gold for this piece of armor. It is only worth 40 gold in resale, after all."
-
Ellaria looked at her companions. "So you all were in two places at once, as well? That still doesn't mean anything we saw was real, but by Sylvania, what else have I got to go with?" She stood up. "I don't know who or what the odd woman who made us split apart was, but maybe she can tell us more about what lurks below here. Weren't we supposed to find these demons of sorts?"

Heroica RPG - Quest#100: To The Tower of Babel
Sandy replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
Walbartan shirked back from hearing Sarge's demanding voice, but did not let go of the knife or the harlot. "No, you've been all too wishy-washy for me to trust you. Just go downstairs and help the alchemist plant the bombs. I will let go of Periwinkle as soon as the bombs go off. Only then I can trust you have kept your end of the bargain." Walbartan gave Althior a meaningful glance. The fur on her face was moist with sweat and tears. "Please, I'm so tired of this..." "For the sake of every god in the world, just do what she tells you! I want out of this crappy situation! Eric!!!" -
I don't know about priests since such a job class doesn't exist in this game, but clerics sure can't. Why are you asking such an obvious question, though?

Heroica RPG - Quest#100: To The Tower of Babel
Sandy replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
QM Note: I want to wait for Khorne's response, since this is the last chance you have to return to your original mission and abandon the Wolfgang's. The golem nods. "I shall henceworth be known as Alfred. I shall follow you back to the Tower, then." "Vega sounds like a good start. It's been a while since I last visited it - back when I was made the Rock Champion. And now I have new cards to exchange into prizes, too, thanks to you! It seems our paths split again, but maybe we'll meet again one day. Goodbye, sweet Nur!" The geomancer winked at Nur before retiring to her house to pack up. Nur and Alfred started to make their way back to the Tower, but the sun was already high up, and whatever had happened at the Tower must have already happened... -
