  1. Ellaria looks at the Door Keeper. "Then enlighten us, please. It's not like we're fighting here just for fun. There are living people captured in this nightmarish play!" Ellaria takes a worried glance to see if Atramor is alright, and then repeats her action.
  2. Here are the requested photos from pages four and five: Scorpiox (Since there weren't that many ginger heroes, I added some NPCs of mine to the conga line.) Zepher Zakura Kintobor Brickington Flare (I built Ad-hoh for this shot, but I have no recollection of what Leo Aragon even looked like, so he was left out.) TheBoyWonder Masked Builder Professor Flitwick (Sorry, the heroes are placed randomly, not according to the level of reputation they have. You do realize how long that would have taken me?) The Hinckwell Heroes The Shadeaux Heroes The Ziegfried Heroes The Guild of Invision Heroes The Bonaparte Heroes The Ji Pei Heroes posades
  3. Ellaria lets out a gasp as she sees Atramor beaten around severely, but feels relieved when the witch manages to scramble to his feet with the last of his strength. "Phew! Be careful, will you?" she says with a smile, and then takes out Sylvania's Crossbow and aims it at Guard C from the back row. "Here's hoping for a lucky shot!"
  4. The isthmus was the only thing that prevented the orcish invaders from building a fleet and raiding the Free Islands, so the citizens of Eubric were really happy that there was no canal in it. Of course, with Baltarok becoming a slightly more civilized nation, there can very well be plans for building such a canal. As for the islands, they have not been named yet. Feel free to make something up for them, if you wish.
  5. I have to ask, what would be the option of not having any stereotypically "foreign" minifigs in the line? Should all the minifigs only be based on Western stereotypes then, in your opinion? Of course these minifigs are all stereotypes (or I'd rather call them archetypes) - they are meant to represent a certain job, a nationality or a fictive character. How else would you do it besides leaning on clichés? In my opinion the CMF-line has been very diverse in an extremely family-friendly, non-offensive way. I would have been very offended if the "Kimono Girl" would have been blonde just to avoid racial stereotypes, for example.
  6. And here's the requested photos from page three: CallMePie Zepher Peppermint_M Eric Su Flipz joeshmoe554
  7. ~Portia's Potion Shack now stocks Tiger Balms and Ambrosia!~ Tiger Balm - Grants immunity to all effects (positive and negative) for one battle. Costs 100 gold. Ambrosia - Causes the reinforced-effect, double the target's defense for the duration of one battle. Costs 65 gold.
  8. It's from the oriental Belville theme: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=3068bpb056
  9. Well, now you've gone and done it! You hurt Elphaba's feelings, so she won't be coming to Eubric ever again!
  10. Ellaria watched as Atramor fought valiantly, protecting the rest of them while countering the enemies' strikes. She felt safe and secure in the male witch's company, and secretly she hoped this wouldn't be the last time they would quest together... Lost in her thought, she was brought back by the realization that Atramor was looking at her with that cheeky grin of his. Instantly the red spread on her face. "Oh! Yes, the Guard Master, gotcha!" The flustered druid raised her staff to strike the Guard Master from the front row. OoC: How's that for roleplaying to you guys?
  11. Here's fulfilled requests from page two: Palathadric Basic Job Class Shots Barbarians: Clerics: Knights: Mages: Rangers: Rogues: UsernameMDM (I hope I got the right face, since I couldn't find any Chi Monk picture of Hoke...) Vash the Stampede PsyKater LordoftheNoobs (Scheherazade does not tolerate sleeping in her Saloon ) Flipz Flare (I'm sorry, but you asked the totally wrong guy for a picture of a "brotherly hug"... ) -obelix- Fred Daniel Yam (Out you go... ) Wedge09 (Sorry, the Heroes' Gallery is no longer a part of the MOC (I had to take it out for parts). You can send a new request if you still want to see Alexander chat with Thalion in some other spot.) Professor Flitwick
  12. "Worry not, Atters - I've got your back!" Ellaria attempts to nurture Atramor from the back row.
  13. All effects (save for Sentinel and Guardian Angel) are put into effect immediately, simple as that. This means that a hero who consumes Smelling Salts gets another turn on that very same round.
  14. Your thinking is close to mine on this. I had the idea that the High Kingdoms were founded on more fertile soil, making them more prosperous by default, whereas the Low Kingdoms are situated in a more harsh terrain with swamps and deep woods, so they wouldn't be as well off. By the way, the amount of "the kingdoms" is unlimited for now. Some of them can be bigger, whereas others consist of a single city and the surrounding countryside. There can also be small kingdoms and other countries on the other continents, even though they aren't listed on the world map. Here's my answers to some questions that Flare had about the named countries: Spesialia - The ancient elven kingdom where Rufus' character Rufindel Galadhras comes from. Fenario - The underground realm of the Fenarians, coined by Quarryman. Etheria - An island nation where ether flows freely. That's why most of the population are wizards and mages. Terra Chima - Continent where werefolk reside. Yes, there are werewolves as well. Azzurat - The lost desert kingdom where Oracle Semiramis/The Sand Queen hails from. It's now buried under the sand, so nobody lives there anymore. Njago - An oriental country, very similar to Xu. Nagashan - The land of the Naga, the serpent people. Xu - The blue-skinned Aoi are the ruling class here, but they are very few in numbers. Other races make for the majority of the population. Kalma Marshlands were featured in Quest#14. It's a savage wetland, with the most prominent city being Salmanda on the coast. Babeleth Darklands is a wasteland where dark magics run at large. There used to be an ancient kingdom of necromancers there, but now there's only some witches and sorcerers left of it.
  15. Well, yeah. Not only was there the "Eye Lake", but Fang Coast as the mouth and the island of Pyr as the flame coming out of the dragon's mouth. And on the continent of Mistaria, there's a peninsula called "the Lance" pointing towards the dragon's head. The allusions are quite heavy imo... And yes, Terra Chima looks like a lion's head on purpose as well.
  16. Like others have said, Fenario is the land of Namyrra Uq's people, and Quarryman should have the final say about what's it like and what's it not. Dastan was actually originally inspired by the Imperial Russia (for example, Glaz is Russian for "eye", so Lake Glaz is actually the "Eye Lake"). Of course, Zepher, JimButcher and Brickdoctor built the empire to their own direction when they took their quests there.
  17. If you know anything about MMORPGs (online roleplaying video games), then you know that inflation and balanced pricing is a big concern in them. We are seeing the same phenomenon taking place here, but there's not much I can do about it, I fear. As for items that give unfair advantages, you do realize that it's difficult to predict their effects before they are put into the game. When the Overkill Gloves were presented to me, I didn't see them as much of a gamebreaker, but then again, I hadn't taken into account the insane amount of multipliers some people get. I guess it's up to us QMs to make it even harder to exploit certain items and strategies in battles. But then again, if someone has gone through the trouble of inventing an intricate strategy that benefits them, in my opinion they earn the benefits.
  18. Is Hoke Tarn's long lost twin brother?
  19. Sorry, I didn't notice that YOU had the torso on backwards. The legs are Shredder's from the TMNT-theme. Go to hell. You tell me about it! When I was building the figs, I almost ran out of black hoods and capes. The characters without a cape are a small minority, too. Sorry, I don't have that torso/leg-combination, and I was too lazy to start rummaging my collection for a matching one. Yes. I thought you were using that head as well... It's hard to see from your avatars.
  20. Here are the photos of the requests from the first page: Pyrovisionary Eric Su Flare Dannylonglegs Kintobor Shoker86 Scorpiox xxlrocka (As for your second request, why would you want a group shot of a party from a quest you had nothing to do with? Are you sure you got the number right?) The Legonater Capt.JohnPaul Hope these were to your satisfaction! More to come over the weekend.
  21. I know, but I have only one of each of those parts, and they all went to different heroes. It was first come, first served with the group photo... I'll fix it for your solo shot, though. Sorry, I don't have that. I only have a few of those early Star Wars figs in any case, since they came out during my dark age and are now quite rare.
  22. "You won't drain my ether for long!" Ellaria shouts at the Magical Guard as she attacks him from the front row.
  23. "As you wish, Atters!" Ellaria says as she unfolds the scroll of inspiration and aims the spell at Atramor from the back row.
