  1. Beast Warriors can transform into any one animal the player chooses - real or fantastic. So gryphons are definitely an option. Sorry, I'm not going to change the weapons of the classes. You can use a scythe as a sorcerer, though, since it combines the traits of a rogue and a mage.
  2. Loving the action shot! It could have helped if you had built some dark bley rocks inside the cave to connect with the background. It kinda does look like a stormy beach now, which is not a bad effect either.
  3. Make more clerics! Clerics are awesome!
  4. "I honestly have no clue what Ulric knows. He is not the most outspoken person. I've been wondering why he came to salvage Eubric in the first place. There a countless of nicer places in the worlds where to build a kingdom. Maybe he will tell us in time..." The party continued along the pier towards the bomb-shaped sign, when suddenly... *KABLAM!* The door of the shop opened and a cloud of smoke pushed out, along with a dwarf in a big hat. "*cough* Mental note: *cough* never try that combination *cough* again!" "THAT's our guy? Oh CRAP..." In the meantime, Throlar and Nazgulie continued their trip along the Blood Brick Road. The dwarf noticed how fertile and alive the land was, despite the evil magics that had seeped into its soil during the past aeons. They saw no other travelers on the way, though, until about halfway between Vega and Fellcrest. Two figures - one huge and lumpy, the other lean and lithe, stood in the middle of the road. "You should have stayed off the road, Throlar. We would have had more trouble finding you in the wilderness." "Not much, though." "Are these friends of yours, Master Wineghilm?", asked Nazgulie sardonically, tensing up. The skeletal horse stopped on its tracks.
  5. "You tell me about it, Sir Abel", Ellaria replies with a big smile. "A temple of Zoot, a town of gnomes, even a dragon or two! We in Heroica will continue to keep them in check, so you need not to worry. Say, when you said "Imperial Order", do you mean the Empire of Dastan or Njago?"
  6. "I am pretty sure if Roland wanted you dead, you'd be lying in the dirt already. Unless you are a really mighty warrior and just don't look the part." Nazgulie grimaced and let out a dry chuckle. "I do not trust her any more than you do, but Ulric seems confident about this pact of his with the woman, so all we can do is obey. Like it or not." The pongcanis looked really uncomfortable about the situation. "Speaking of which, me and Hodurr are not here just to help you, we also need to ensure you will follow through with your mission. You cannot play with two cards." Eventually the fatigued group reached Port Taboo. It was a drab, foggy little town on a seashore. Even the residents looked serious and sour. "They should drop a syllable from the town's name and just call it Port Boo. Such an offputting place..." "Master Almight's workshop SHOULD be somewhere along this PIER. Can ya SPOT it already?"
  7. "I'm getting a major déjà vu moment here", Ellaria mutters as Doctor Raph offers the device for the party to carry. She turns back to Doctor Don. "This stuff you are doing here goes way over my head, but it's the new frontier, I guess. Best of luck to your endeavours!" "If you say so", Ellaria says with a shrug, swapping her Sterile Gloves to the Spirit Robe.
  8. Always go with the literal meaning when it comes to the rules, without your own interpretations, please. You rarely go wrong, then. Asleep enemies are woken up by any attack that hits them, simple as that.
  9. "My pleasure, Master Wineghilm. The sooner I see your backside walking to the horizon, the happier I'll be. Farewell!" "I'll see you when I get back, Roland", said Nazgulie with an attempt to wink - which was quite difficult with a drooping eyelid. The skeleton horse walked at Throlar's speed, it's bony hooves clicking on the dark red stones of the road. The undead rider looked at Throlar with curiosity. "So, you want to see the Countess. Living people usually want the exact opposite. What causes this suicidal urge, may I ask?" Nazgulie asked the dwarf with a crooked, dry smile.
  10. Ellaria smiled at Doctor Don. "Always a pleasure, good doctor. A nice cup of tea sounds lovely after the walk from Doctor Daneeka's. How is the Tritech Corporation faring these days?"
  11. "Mrrrowww! Hisss! Hisssss! [Your insolence will not be tolerated! Once I get free from this feline form, the world will shiver once again before the might of Beelzebub the Vanquisher!]" "Shush now, Beelzie. Mommy is trying to smack some sense into these men. With little luck..." "*growl*" Walbartan raised her eyebrows and Hodurr coughed loudly. "AHEM! Thinkin' of double-crossin' us, ARE ya?" "We will all learn the truth about Barbariccia in time - when she is ready to tell it to us. Before that, we just have to be nice children and obey her wishes. You don't want to get on her bad side, trust me." "You maggots... I cannot believe you! I will not waste anymore time trying to sway you, but trust me that the Tower will know you are coming. If you'll excuse me, I have to tend to my mother and brother. They got a few scrapes when they sent your allies running like little girls." The cat in the bonnet spat at Nur. "Meaaaoouuwww! [You will hear from me yet, insolent mage!]" The green-skinned witch flew away on the broomstick, leaving the heroes with the suspecting Wolfgang members. "Will we CARRY ON wiv the mission now, or are ya STILL hatching plans to betray US?" "Calm down, Hodurr. I am sure Eric did not mean what he said..." The pongcanis gave Eric a meaningful look. "My Eric means everything he says!" Periwinkle said, rising to the raider's defense. She then pecked a kiss on his cheek. "You did awesome with that hideous woman, honeypie." Sun started to rise in the horizon. While the other party continued their way to Port Taboo, Throlar woke up in the abandoned tavern in Vega. Roland Emeraldo walked with him to the northern gates of the city. "You just follow the Blood Brick Road north, and you'll be in Fellcrest by nightfall. I have to send you on your way with some bad news, though. Your companions managed to sneak away through a secret tunnel in the brothel. Poor Bufkin gave his life trying to stop them, too. A darn shame, he was such a loyal monkey... The big green guy smashed through the south gate, and the patrols I sent after him and the others came back empty-handed. Glimda is understandably furious, but I've got to keep my head in the business. Musn't let the tourists be rattled by these incidents, so it is best for us both if you just leave and never return. Of course, you'd be eaten alive if you tried to enter Fellcrest by yourself, so I got you a guide." Roland waved his hand, and an undead woman rode to the gate on an skeletal horse. "She might not be the prettiest flower in the garden, but Nazgulie here can arrange you a meeting with Countess Lyudmila." "Greetings, Master Wineghilm", said the zombie woman in a hoarse voice. "I hope you don't mind sharing the road with me. Madame Glimda has decided to close the Château for a while, so I thought I'd return to Fellcrest to see my friends for the time being." Would Throlar accept the undead prostitute's company?
  12. "There no 'and'", Elphaba scoffed. "I just wanted to fly over and see if you're really the greedy idiots that the Wyrd Tree showed me. Apparently you are." "I have nothing to offer you but my pity. You are all puppets of this Barbariccia, even though you don't admit it." "The coven of witches has an age-old legend of an Eatress, a creature disguised as a woman who preys on witches and mages and other people of arcane vocation, devouring their powers to herself. According to what I've learned of this Barbariccia, I highly suspect she might be the source of this legend. Now you see why us true witches want nothing to do with her?" "This is not about Eubric, it has always been just one stop on my travels for me. But do you think this Barbariccia will settle with just one city under her thumb? If rumours are correct, she has lived for thousands of years and has seen - and probably caused - the fall of many nations. The Tower contains the answers to what she is and what she wants, you cannot just destroy it!" Was there something the party wished to say to Elphaba? Looking up, they could make out a familiar witch sitting on a flying broomstick with a black cat. "I've come to warn you, so called 'heroes' of Heroica", shouted Elphaba, who used to come to Eubric Marketplace to sell her magical products twice a year. "The Wyrd Tree showed me you making a pact with the Wolfgang, and I don't believe you have any idea what you have signed up for. I do not know what the woman you are working for is, but she certainly is no witch, or even a resident of Babeleth. In Eubric, I sensed a much more ancient foulness brewing. If you destroy the Tower for her, you'll be wiping away aeons of history and memories of lives lived, just to protect her secret. For what? A pot of gold and a fancy title? You are despicable!" 14. That's absolutely true. The world map should definitely not be taken literally, it only gives a general sense of what is where. There can be any number of countries and regions in between the named areas.
  15. Those areas are yet to be developed by any QM, so they are free for grabs. The reason they seem to be part of the Empire in the world map is because of the scale - the text simply doesn't fit lower without getting jumbled up with the borders of the lake.
  16. I'd actually prefer one with a full white background, but it's of course a bit trickier to pull off without ruining the picture.
  17. Ellaria follows the others outside. She had the nasty feeling they could be jumped on at any time, despite being the imposing group that they were. Street gangs in this city were not the smartest of people... "So, I never saw myself as a miner, but here we are, about to drill our way through the earth", she said to her companions. "Funny how life throws you at all these different situations when you're in Heroica."
  18. QM Note: True, Eric's line got somehow deleted in the writing phase. Sorry! The results are fixed now.
  19. You can usually learn how to add things by clicking "edit" on the said article to see the code involved. Flipz is the founder of the Wiki, so only he can edit the frontpage. I agree that it needs to have a list of general categories (Quests, Characters, Items, etc.) or something like that.
  20. Find a red link, tap it, and type away! Rinse and repeat. Or you can add articles about anything you like that don't already have one, or edit the existing ones too, if you like. That's why I need QMs to add the gained reputations to the last post of their quest, even if it's just a reminder. If it happens somewhere in the middle of a quest, I have no way of knowing.
  21. Yes, it's just a reminder that for some reason continues to confuse people to this date. That's why I removed the remark from it a long time ago in the Marketplace description.
  22. "Oh, shut yer TRAP! This damn UNDERGROWTH could use a gentle touch of a SCYTHE. And yer not exactly a MOUNTAIN ovva man yerself EITHER, if ye don't mind me SAYING!" 23. Ellaria leans to whisper to her companions. "I thought that was supposed to be our big secret. How come everyone seems to know about it?" "Sounds like Tuesday", Ellaria boasts, even though the idea of carrying something valuable through the streets of Eubric and it's greedy inhabitants once again did not entice her much at all.
  24. Thanks for noticing! The links got switched up somehow, but I fixed them now. It was Lord Duvors' choice. Besides, there isn't going to be a PvP battle (at least not a planned one, but then again, I've had to conform the storyline a whole lot during this quest already). It's more of a race to the Tower - whoever gets there and accomplishes their task first gets the reward for a successful quest. In that sense, one person should be able to move faster than seven, no? I've got a few allies planned up for Throlar, anyway, to help him in his eventual battle against the other half of the Fearsome Four. Because it was in a dire need of a redesign. Me and the other QMs are going to look into the structure and mechanics of the Unlimited Quest to make it a more challenging place for players of all levels. I have forgotten to announce that Flipz has joined the FoG team as a fourth Quest Master. Please welcome him aboard! Helvetia is actually the name that the Romans used for modern day Switzerland. That's where the name of the font comes from. But I did not name the goddess after Switzerland. In the Finnish language, Hell is called "helvetti", so there.
  25. A great series of MOCs! You've once again captured the look and feel of genuine LEGO sets. The theme this time around is somewhat reminiscent of "How to Train Your Dragon", at least to me. I'd love to see more buildings included. The small spire of the Necromancer's Peak promises some inspirational fantasy architecture, so bring it on!
