The LEGO Xmen XJet/Blackbird appears to be based on the Xmen animated version of the plane. See http://img2.wikia.no...ackbird_002.jpg Note the prominence of blue colour on the plane. See also https://www.youtube....h?v=wZAhqEiq4cA. It is not based on the movie version, which is almost entirely black. http://www.digitalsp...-blackbird.html My main gripe with the Xmen set is the very poor price/piece ratio. Nevertheless, I think I'll get it because I like Xmen.

GotG sets look awesome. Love the detail on the figures. (And I'm not even a GotG fan). Plan on getting Rocky the Raccoon as a separate minifigure. Xmen set looks great!!! :) Let me know if you come across any close-up pictures of Rocky the Raccoon. Would love to get one for my collection. (I like raccoons).

Yes, something like that would be awesome. How about a set with Cable, Bishop and maybe some one else vs. Apocalypse and Mr. Sinister. would be interesting.

All my wants are Xmen: Heroes: Professor X (easy) Colossus (not hard to make if regular sized) Jean Grey (also not hard to make) --->And while they are at it, can make an alternate colored one with shorter hair ---> Rachel Summers Havok Kitty Pryde Rogue Gambit Bishop (easy) Cable (face and arm printing might be a bit trickier, really want him though) Villains: Juggernaut Quicksilver Scarlet Witch Mr Sinister Apocalypse Emma Frost (also a hero, very very easy to make) ---> And while they are at it, Sebastian Shaw (also very easy to make, just a dude in Victorian clothing) Also, would be interesting to have Mystique. However, as she is a shapeshifter, you can basically have anyone as Mystique. Besides, Mystique usually doesn't show her true face anyways.

Colossus should be a regular figure because it is just a guy who turns his skin metal. IIRC, he doesn't grow in size when he turns metal. Xmen Megas: Juggernaut Onslaught Apocalypse (possibly, though I think he is also just a regular sized guy) Nimrod (special sort of Sentinel) I envision next set being a big one (X Mansion) with Juggernaut. Then the one after that might be a smaller one with Apocalypse and Mr. Sinister vs. some Xmen. I heard that Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch will be released next year, though as Avengers. Doesn't matter to me, because I'll get them and use them as X-villains.

Comic-Con Minifigures: Are They Worth Getting?
gundamz replied to BrickBuilder3213's topic in LEGO Licensed
Are those any good? A friend of mine accidentally bought some bootleg LEGOs once and they were hardly better than Mega Blox. Edit: To be more specific: * Do the figures break easily? * Is the plastic quality OK? Or does the plastic crack/warp easily? * Are the paintjobs authentic? Or are they obviously fake? (e.g. Phoenix being Red and Black instead of Yellow and Green) -
If it's X-Mansion, I will strongly consider buying it. I am envisioning something like Arkham Asylum.

Comic-Con Minifigures: Are They Worth Getting?
gundamz replied to BrickBuilder3213's topic in LEGO Licensed
Not sure if this is allowed on this site but here goes: Has anyone tried buying SDCC minifigures on eBay? If so, are the minifigures sold through there legit (i.e. authentic)? Or are they counterfeit or reject goods? -
X Mansion!!! (probably not, but that's what I'm hoping for)

Personally, I'm not a DC fan. But, I think the Martian Manhunter looks awesome. Love the vivid colors and the detail on the figure.

Lego Loosing the Ball with Superheroes Sets
gundamz replied to Tom Jurassic's topic in LEGO Licensed
So, basically, something like Captain America's Avenging Cycle, right? A hero, a small vehicle, and two villains. I think it could work. ^ Would be cool if they did one with Mini-Sentinels. -

Lego Loosing the Ball with Superheroes Sets
gundamz replied to Tom Jurassic's topic in LEGO Licensed
I think what they should do for SDCC exclusives is to release an alternate version of a minifigure that is already available to the general public. e.g. A particular Mark of Iron Man, Clean-shaven Thor, or a Batman figure with a distinct cape design. That way, people who just want to have a minifigure version of a character can get it from the publicly available set and diehard collectors can go to SDCC or buy the alternate version of the minifigure separately. e.g. Suppose LEGO released clean-shaven Thor. Suppose I just want a Thor figure so I could complete the Avengers. I could just buy a set that has Thor, and I can complete the Avengers. Actual e.g. LEGO released Phoenix as a SDCC exclusive. I really want a Phoenix or at least a Jean Grey for my Xmen collection. However, it is disappointing that I cannot without significant difficulty and expense because the only official version of Phoenix/Jean Grey ever released to date is a SDCC exclusive. -

Would be awesome if they have Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver in Avengers 2 sets. Both are classic Xmen villains before they joined Avengers. Phoenix SDCC is just unfortunate. It is an awesome-looking figure and highly relevant to the Xmen line too... -
To answer my own question, they appear to be Mark One, Mark Two or Mark Three. Not Mark Four (arm color is different) or Mark Five (body and arm color is different). http://marvel.wikia.com/Sentinels/Classification

What are your thoughts on the new soon-to-be-released X-Men set? I think it is one of the worst I have seen in terms of price/pieces ratio ($49.99 for 330ish bricks), but is one of the best I have seen in terms of action and cool minifigures. Think it's worth it?

What is your least favourite Super Heroes set and why?
gundamz replied to Godtshep's topic in LEGO Licensed
Captain America's Avenging Cycle by far. The aliens are ugly, and Captain America's bike is rather small. Plus, now you can get Captain America in other sets (Captain America vs. Hydra). -

I really want more LEGO X-Men, especially with the upcoming X-Men movie. Would like to see: Cyclops Professor X Storm Kitty Pryde Sentinels Juggernaut (would be a large figure like Cave Troll)

One thing I am concerned about is the durability of this set. The string looks a bit flimsy and might break over time. (As a sidenote: is the string special LEGO string, or can it easily be replaced by other string or yarn?) The catapult looks good, but again, the flexible Technic piece looks a bit flimsy. I'm concerned that it might snap if I use the catapult too much or pull it back too far.
